They are not filled but tasty. The Peruvian rice was mixed with corn off the cob & Latin spices. Also had an excellent Argantinian Chardonnay. The menu had a variety of lunch & brunch items. Will definitely be back Service was friendly & attentive. The server recommended the wine & let me taste before I ordered. The restaurant is decorated on a Latin theme. Not a traditional Mexican restaurant. This is some different & interesting

Came in for dinner last Saturday night with friends who live in the area. Generally, tasty food…read more The guac and yuca fries were better than the crispy calamari, while my spicy poblano mexcalrita did the trick after a long wait for a 7 PM reservation (we were bottled up in the tiny front waiting area for nearly 40 minutes while another group finished up, which the restaurant compensated us for by throwing in a couple of freebies). For dinner, I got the chicken tinga dorados and was very satisfied; for $9, this appetizer was absolutely enough to be a full dinner for me and was very tasty. I don't love the space here for a lot of reasons, but the food is great and the service was relatively quick once we got seated. Looking forward to a return visit the next time I'm in town!

We love food from the islands! Today we had lunch at Ayahso's and it was great. Anitra Woodson's…read moreplace in Fort Wayne was made for our taste. Well decorated and inviting we felt like we were back in Montego Bay. The chicken curry and the brown stewed chicken was outstanding! The rice and peas (red beans), buttery cabbage and mac and cheese hit the spot. I was assured by the owner that their oxtails were one of best seller. The chef visited our table and told us about his life in Portmore where he learned to cook. He learned well!! This is the place to visit! Ya mon!!!! Big up respect!

And they were out of half of the items I asked for. Brown stew snapper? Out. Carrot cake? Out. Festival? Out. By that time I was like, "I know you have to have jerk chicken! Lemme just get some of that." And it seems that fourth time was a charm. Upon arrival, food was pleasing to the eye. Colorful. Fresh looking. Smelled fragrantly Jamaican. But it didn't only look good, it was EXCELLENT! Best jerk chicken I have ever had! Spicy but not overly hot. Had a smokey flavor that added a nice complexity. Spice was offset by the sweet juicy pineapple tidbits sprinkled sporadically on top. Rice n peas were good. Nothing to write home about. Cabbage was cooked perfectly! Toothsome. A lil flavor but not enough to compete with the real star: that Jerk Chicken! Would I return? ABSOLUTELY! I almost went back the same day!
