It was a big mess, power to part of the mountain had to be shut down until the tree was removed from the lines, it took 4 experienced tree trimmers from Wright Tree Services almost 5 hours to get the Edison lines cleared of the old seasoned oak tree. This was Friday afternoon at the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend. All the power to the mountain was restored except ours. Our holiday weekend plans suddenly were changed. But this time the outcome was far less than satisfactory. Why? Why would a great company go down hill (so to speak) like that? Just kept scratching my head. Well, it dawned on me that perhaps the owner is hiring apprentice electricians to help them out, which if that is the case, is great. BUT, these employees must be supervised by an experienced, competent, knowledgeable and "seasoned" electrician. What actually happened was I hired them to install quite a few ceiling fans. After the job was done the ceiling fans were making such a hideous sound, we couldn't use any of the fans! So, I phoned a very close friend whom I trusted like I used to trust Rankin, and he had to troubleshoot each fan and basically re-install each one.
