My ancient AC unit needed full replacement, so I did my due diligence and started calling around to get bids from different companies (while sweating profusely). Right out the gate, Julio was absolutely awesome. He not only answered after hours, but he took the time to explain different questions I should be asking all of the contractors to make sure I'm getting the best warranty possible and the most complete service. That alone was above and beyond-- he didn't have to do that, but it goes to show that not only is he about educating and empowering consumers. . . but that he also knows his product and service is incredible enough to stand up to that level of scrutiny. After getting multiple bids from different highly ranked companies around the town, Great Dane HVAC provided the best warranty by a mile (literally about double the length of what many others were offering across multiple categories), but his quote was also very reasonable (and beat many of the competitors who were offering smaller units with less warranty for $2000+ more). All along the way, communication with Julio was awesome-- whether via calls, texts, or in person, Julio communicated everything promptly and was just generally awesome. Julio is awesome and I can't recommend Great Dane HVAC enough. They just left a little bit ago and my house is already back to a normal, refreshing temp. They've got lifetime customers now!

We were pretty concerned, but Ruben responded right away and said he could be there within 30 minutes. When he arrived, he was calm, professional, and reassuring. He quickly evaluated the system and determined that the fan motor needed to be replaced. I asked whether he would have to leave to get the part, but he already had the correct motor on his truck. He replaced it immediately, and the entire process--from my initial call to having the air conditioner running again--was probably no more than an hour and a half to two hours. They approach their work like true engineers, with an incredible depth of knowledge and attention to detail. Just as importantly, they have always been exceedingly honest, straightforward, and fair with me. About ten years ago, Mr. Hawley replaced the air conditioning system at our condo and did a fantastic job. This summer, the roughly 30-year-old system at our current house finally gave out. Despite it being the middle of summer, Mr. Hawley squeezed us into the schedule in less than a week and gave us a very good deal on a new Daikin heat pump system. He spent a great deal of time explaining the differences between a heat pump and a traditional HVAC system, answering my questions, and helping me understand why it made sense for our house. I really appreciated being educated rather than simply sold a piece of equipment. Hawley is also one of the companies in Bakersfield with the expertise to install and properly configure these kinds of heat pump systems. The team did a fantastic job completely retrofitting our system, and the difference inside the house is remarkable. The temperature is much more consistent and comfortable, the system is highly efficient, and ours also includes an ionizing air-cleaning system that helps remove particles from the air. It is rare to find a company that combines this level of technical expertise with genuine integrity and customer service.
