I cut the power to the whole house in a panic, then sat there, not totally sure what to do because it was after 5 PM and rapidly getting dark, but hey. . . at least the sizzling had stopped (tiny victories). Gonzalez Electric was one of the first Yelp hits and once I saw Ed's great reviews, I gave him a call. He answered right away, was kind, listened to what happened, and said he'd be right out. Ed arrived at my place within half an hour and got to work. Ed's diagnosis of what was wrong was clear, professional, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. He even provided options for more economical vs longer term fixes. What I really appreciate though is how fair his pricing was--- the truth is that I was in a bad situation: no power, a sizzling breaker box, and a single woman alone at home in the darkness. He could have literally charged me anything and I would have probably paid it because hey, what choice did I have? But Ed didn't do that. He was VERY fair, he gave me options, he was just an all around wonderful person to work with and I am definitely saving his info for all future electrical work.
