I then found Dave, who is a sincere professional technician, and "felt right" on the phone. I dropped off the album, and he got me the digitized file in a couple of days. The result was really good (songs were clean with properly adjusted volume). My issue was finding someone to cure the clicking death noise. When I stepped into the store, I was immediately greeted by one of the nice employees. Upon initial inspection of the clicking death noise, they suggested that I need to find a computer service shop with a clean room. They suggested another competitor. (The type of place I know it'll be more than $400!) Upon further inspection, MacKendrick says they can take a look inside the hard drive as they know I don't want to spend $400 or more going to a clean room. After inspecting inside the hard drive, MacKendrick was able to transfer all the data into my new hard drive! The issue turn out to be a broken motherboard inside the old external hard drive of mine. Thus, I've paid $148 for the transfer and labor... much better than $400! MacKendrick is highly trustworthy. They tell you the truth, no curveballs. And, they are friendly!

Justin was professional, honest, gave us recommendations and said with a smile "his company could do the job". Within a week Justin had Tom (heavy equipment operator) out on the job. Tom is unbelievable. A hard worker that is friendly and knows what he is doing. He is treating our job, like it was his own and we could not be more pleased. There was a sweet young redhead that was helpful and kind. But the middle aged women was awful. I figured maybe I walked in after the young lady was rude so I hung back to watch. Nope this lady was just unprofessionally rude. She was not kind to me when she helped me. I figured maybe just a bad day? The next morning that same young lady ended up behind me picking up her order. I fell out of line to watch the interaction. She was so rude to her again! The young lady was in full FFA outfit. And she was so kind to the lady! I just left after I got my order. I don't understand. We want the next generation to be exactly what this young lady was- kind, respectful, attentive, not on their phone. So we treat a paying customer that was a stellar customer like you are annoyed by their presence. The middle aged women was lukewarm to me, not kind at all! But not rude. My job was correct so the work didn't suffer. But I just can't imagine treating a paying customer that way!

Trying desperately to make this stuff meaningful to AP history students at Oak Ridge High school. Until last week I was using an old version of photoshop. Took a motley collection of TIFF & jpg & BITMAPs in. Wes was able to work with them all, while I stood there laying with his cat. But more importantly gave me great advice on how to clean up the originals better... Suggested I download new cloud-based Photoshop trial version, which is light years beyond my version 7. The results have been amazing. They were able to upsize the files on the printer. I subsequently learned Photoshop CC also does good upsizing. And the prices are cheap. Like $6 for 3' tall and 4' wide in monochrome. All the tiny little place names are readable. Color is more but not that much. And I'm thinking of getting them laminated for classroom use : $12.

I have never had a business refer me to Amazon for services that they actually provide. Recommendation: I called El Dorado Press in Cameron Park and they were extremely helpful and can meet all of my needs.
