Absolutely everything about this UPS Store location is top knotch! I used a different location for a several years regularly (PMB) until it was closed. I came into the store with a package I had originally shipped through them, which had been returned to me. I calmly explained that, had I known the shipment would be handed off to USPS, I would have used a different address... USPS only delivers to PO boxes on that street, whereas UPS delivers to the house. The employee in training initially misspoke, saying it was UPS, but the screen would have shown the handoff to USPS. So, realistically, it was a mistake on both sides. An easy, understandable oversight. What should have been a simple correction turned into an uncomfortable and unnecessary display. The female manager proceeded to deliver the kind of fake friendly but cold, tight-lipped "customer service" that's become all too common. She loudly made it clear that it was actually my fault, despite admitting the error was plausible. She insisted she would "honor it this one time," as if I were someone trying to exploit some loophole... when I had already acknowledged my part in the mistake and was simply trying to resolve the issue. For the record, I was calm and even-toned the entire time. I said very little beyond explaining the situation. Thankfully, the bearded gentleman who ultimately helped me was the complete opposite. He was courteous, professional, and seemed equally aware of how unnecessary the manager's behavior was. He handled the situation exactly how I would have during my years in retail: treating the customer like a person, not a problem. read more

Just had the worst experience ever at a UPS store with a woman who said she was the owner. After looking on line at what UPS stores charge for passport photos I found a consensus figure of $11.99 so I made an appointment at the Broadway store. Before receiving the photos I was asked to pay $24.99. After saying I had researched the price to be 11.99 the woman told me to show her. I promptly found the figure on my phone and she informed me "she can charge whatever she wants, the store is a franchise." "If you don't want the photos don't take them." The price was exorbitant and I told her as much. I went down the road to 49er Notary across from KFC and got the Two Photos for $12 Even. And service with a smile! read more

This UPS location has the best customer service, everyone who works here is so friendly and kind and hardworking. I've used this location for passport photos as well and shipping packages. I recently had an important package go missing in Los Angeles and Kevin was a huge help in finding the packed and making sure it got to its destination. Zero stars. I was a faithful neighborhood customer for 5 years, Not anymore. Sometimes new ownership isn't a good thing. Glad to see that the long time past employees found a positive outcome elsewhere. They were the glue of the Broadway UPS Store. Really sad to see new ownership deconstruct such a well oiled machine. I've had to return so many Amazon items and they let me email the labels to them in advance and they have them printed by the time I get there making it SO efficient and less time consuming. I would like to thank Barry at UPS store on Broadway in Placerville for his exceptional spirit and actions of genuine customer service. He has reaffirmed my loyalty as a neighborhood customer. When I called telling him of concerns regarding exposure to Covid in small closed public spaces, he didn't miss a beat and warmly offered to retrieve my pre-addressed, prepaid package from the rear of my car parked in front. In his friendly manner and professionalism, he treated me as a truly valued customer and earned my repeat business. I am not sure if this is the right ups distribution, but today a man named Joe delivered my package in pollock. I just moved back to the town after being gone many years. His diligence to get us our mail, with snow on the ground, was impressive! He made sure I saved his number if I ever have any questions about shipments! I told him we receive a lot of mail since we have a sick daughter with a rare syndrome. He blessed her, and just gave me 100% customer service in a stressful time (covid 19) and with a stressful job! I wish there was a way to compliment him more, or just give him recognition for being a great person. Thank you Joe! read more

Very dissatisfied with UPS I sent a Christmas tree packaged in a tube on Tue. 11/28 with an estimated delivery date of Thur. 11/30 to Simi Valley CA. They sent from their sorting facility to the wrong town, then sent it back to the sorting facility where it sat for 3 more days and here it is Mon. 12/4 and it still isn't delivered. UPS IS THE WORST!!!!!!!! I will be using FedEx from now on. read more

I rarely ever have to ship anything and when I do, I usually go to the post office because its the most familiar. The recipient of some big stuff I just had to ship requested I use UPS, so I went on Yelp and saw this store seemed to get good reviews, better reviews than surrounding UPS Stores. The reason for that seems clear to me after going there. They were SUPER helpful and got my stuff packaged in a way that saved me $40 over the way I had it packaged. read more
