I can't emphasize enough why you shouldn't hire Cardinal Contractors. We decided to move forward with them because initially the communication was great, and the walk through with the insurance adjuster went well. Cardinal promised us a smooth process with them as our general contractor. Well, after we received all the insurance funds, the sales guy Wes tried to convince us we would be better off acting as our own GC. As a family of 5 with two working parents, this was absolutely out of the question. We heard this same story from another family in our neighborhood who went with them. They essentially wanted to just complete our roof replacement and bow out. I would like to preface that this was hail damage from May 2024. It is now June 2025, and we still have two items outstanding and are holding most of their payment for completed projects so they don't disappear and abandon the job. The work they have completed has been quality work, but I will continue to spread the word about how untrustworthy this company is, classic bait and switch. Many people in our neighborhood and friends with separate storm damage have asked for recommendations and I just scream "DON'T USE CARDINAL CONTRACTORS"! Do your research, and when these guys come to your neighborhood after a disaster promising you guidance and a reliable GC throughout your project, know it's all a facade and tell them to kick rocks. read more

I emailed Alex asking that his manager and or owner call me. And gave my number. His email back was..you can call into the office any time. Welp not what I asked..I asked that someone call me. I emailed again and said never mind. This isn't worth it. I'll just keep leaving negative reviews and word of mouth is powerful. He said director of operations will call me So today Stacy calls my husbands phone..he doesn't answer unknown numbers. She leaves a message..this is Stacy from Cardinal...I'm calling to discuss our project with you. WTF..they do not have a future project. We allowed Cardinal Contractors to check our roof for storm damage, as they said they were in the area working on a neighbor's roof. The first time, they cancelled the appointment, saying they were kept on the other job longer than they anticipated. When they finally did come out, it was later than they said they would arrive. I saw the truck outside, so I know they arrived. But I didn't hear anything from them for 12 days. So I finally called them, and the woman who answered the phone said they didn't find enough storm damage to warrant contacting our insurance company. However, she didn't say why I had to chase down this information rather them contacting me. If this is how they act when they're auditioning for the job, how lax will they be when they are assigned to do the work? I feel this is very unprofessional behavior, and I cannot recommend. read more

Great company roof looks great barely had to lift a finger they handled everything. Highly recommend.

We had previous and current hail damage. Our insurance carrier gave us a very low estimate to replace the roofs on our house and garage. Cardinal Contracting fought with them for us and got them to offer a fair budget. This saved me thousands of dollars. We were selling our house and had to have the roof replaced very quickly. Once we got a fair budget worked out, Cardinal did the work quickly. They did a great job and replaced much more rotten decking than was expected. They were very professional and completed both roofs in 2 days and finished the work in time for closing. Our neighbors were also impressed and since we all have hail damage, I'm sure Cardinal will be getting more calls from this neighborhood. When they finished, they hauled away all the debris and left my property cleaner than when they arrived. I will be calling them to do the roof on the new home we are buying. read more

I was going to use them , but I have decided against it. Should of known because of how they found me, they called me from the yellow pages and came over. Jumped on my roof, took some pics and wanted to get right with my insurance co. right away? They did not send me pics or a quote by email like they said. Also, I gave them my cell phone because I am never home to call but they continue to call me at my house (which is the number they found me at).. so they didn't listen . his name was Tyler. Anyway. I will be contacting another contractor. They don't seem to do what they say they will do. No follow up calls to correct phone, no estimate, and no email of the pics. read more

One of the things I look for in anyone I hire is an attention to details, especially if those details involve a large "NO SOLICITATION" sign on the front door where they plastered a note claiming they "evaluated" my home while working in a neighbor's house. No, I don't want your scammy services, especially when you're plastering these all over the neighborhood and can't obey a pretty obvious sign. read more

Made an appointment for an estimate. That day, the guy calls and asks if he can come by early around 10am instead of the scheduled 1pm. I say yes and wait around until 1:45 pm and no one has arrived. I call him back and was told it was a misunderstanding and he will have the repair guy call me for the estimate/repair because he handles that. Then why did I make an appointment and why waste my time? I also never got a call back from the repair guy. Completely unprofessional and poor customer service. read more

I am pleased with their service and from the first roof inspection through installation Cardinal did it all. I had a hail damaged roof that need replacement & Cardinal Contractors, and their team was over the next day and assisting us in finding the best shingles and gutters. If there is any other company check around before using Cardinal Contractors. They were in my neighborhood and requested to meet with me and my insurance company. After their recommendation of needing a new roof I informed them that I would like to shop around for pricing. The representative from Cardinal Contractor stated that they were running a special of 1,000 off a new roof which would go towards my deductable. They gave me 2 receipts one for the full amount and the second one showing 1,000 less. They informed me to send the insurance company the one with the full amount. The insurance company also had other items that needed repaired. They sent the insurance company a letter stating that they had completed all repairs, knowing that they only replaced the roof. Now that I needed the balance of my claim to fix my gutters the insurance company notified me that there was nothing left. I was 1,000 short which was the special of $1,000 off the roof. I contacted the owner he had a very bad attitude and said he was not going to honor the 1,000 special. I also spoke with the representative that came by the house and he confirmed the special. If you use this company please check with the Better Business Bureau and get whatever special they have in writing. I should have knowing something was up when they told me not to tell my insurance company that I had 2 receipts. When I told the insurance company what they did the insurance company call them and asked about the other repairs. They informed them that they did not do any other repairs but they sent the wrong receipts. They then forward them the higher receipts to cover their butts. This process took almost a year going back and forward between them and the insurance company. This was a big nightmare for me. read more
