The words he used to describe this place was "unprecedented and incomparable". I actually laughed because i never knew a resident so appreciative and content about staying at one of these places. Because of the stigma that comes along with nursing homes he told me that he would never want to be at one but this one in particular he would hope to return if he needed to. I would highly recommend this place due to his experience. One of the only places I had to visit a resident and they were really happy. Our elders deserve this type of experience.

My first day she came all the way to Allen to pick me up, front door service. Which she did not have to do, and then she came to pick me on my second visit. I love you Cynthia, you went over and beyond. The receptionist Sandra is a complete delight as well she always and I mean always had a smile on her face. She is so warm and kind. She even celebrated my birthday with me. Oh and the chiropractor was pleasant as well, but his front people (employees) that is, are what keeps his business going, I think at least one of the reasons. But don't get me wrong the doctor was very helpful and wonderful bedside manner. And he helped me out a lot. One last thing after my accident I started having panic attacks. I said hi, and asked for the restroom. Soon after we got to chatting, she said her name was Terry, I introduced myself, And I told her how this was gonna be my third time I think that was first. I told her please don't judge me, cuz she was just looking at me. I already deal with anxiety and it made me uncomfy. But then progressively she got more irritated and anxious I guess cuz no one was there yet and that she was worried there wouldn't be enough seats or some junk and she had like 3 seats saved it was really weird. Then her friend came in and I just smiled at him and then they got to talking in the corner and it was all weird and secretive and I felt uncomfy, then the next man came in, I tried engaging in conversation with her and her friend, and she didn't reply, her friend had to. It was very odd. She was then talking to the new guy who runs the group and very loudly and obnoxiously. By this time I feel really unwelcome and my social anxiety was topped off. Clearly, the hen of the house, Terry, didn't like newcomers there, or has a problem with new women attending group. and for me, we women should be more welcoming. I got my things and left. I hope you had enough seats, Terry! I didn't appreciate this at all. The last two meetings I went to the gentleman were so kind to welcome me, but this from a fellow woman is unacceptable. We had two ladies for their first meeting and they were well received.  GA places principles before personalities. I have had to learn to deal with a variety of people and a few uncomfortable situations in GA. I learned by listening and sharing with those I do not agree with or understand. GA places the message of abstinence and recovery above the messengers. You claim that we failed you. Please consider giving us another chance. Consider online meetings as social anxiety may be an issue for you. Remember that you rejected the Pathways phone list offered to you that has the online information. It is strictly prohibited to record or screenshot any GA meeting. Pathways does have an online component. I wish you the best in your abstinence and recovery from resources both in and outside of GA. My brother has been at the Meadows for a year and he's comfortable there. I visit 2 to 8 times a…read moremonth and always observe kindly, respectful treatment of the residents, even the ornery ones. The facility is clean, the food is satisfactory and adequate. Our family is grateful that our brother has a place there. He nearly lost his life due to careless medication management in a private assisted living facility in Hunt County where he stayed for 17 bleak months. That ended with an ambulance ride to the ER and 2 weeks in ICU due to bad medication management. In that process, our brother's cognitive faculties were so damaged that he qualified for Medicaid long term care. I'm sad about his medical status but the Meadows takes good care of him. I regret that Medicaid reimbursement rates are so stingy that life is not very diverting and interesting for Medicaid-dependent nursing home residents. Of course I have fears about the general trend in Medicaid reimbursement. But the Meadows does very well with the resources it has to work with. I'll pay special tribute to Mr.Bill, the loving heart and soul of the place! He's not in management nor is he a licensed professional therapist or anything, but he is all over that facility doing his best to ensure that spirits are high. He has been doing this for decades and I believe he truly is the house Angel.

Several outstanding employees quit or got fired when the facility was sold to owners. Several key employees who had worked for the previous ownership and now retain their jobs under the new ownership, are people I now regard as dangerous. As of late 2025, my rating of this nursing home bottomed out. I'm sorry to say the place is unacceptable. My brother WAS well and comfortable, but he has deteriorated after being abused and physically assaulted by a mentally ill roommate. The Facility lied to us about it. At 6 ft 2 in, my brother now weighs less than 130 pounds, and looks like he was just released from a Nazi concentration camp. The Director of Nursing looks me in the eye and declares he's fine.

Only the best. That's how they do it at Elements. From the Breville espresso maker to the grand piano in the living room, or the putting green out back and egg smoker on the deck. And it's situated in the warm niche neighborhood of Lakewood, right in Swiss Avenue in the heart of Dallas. The area is like a small borough in NYC, where you can see the beautiful skyline as you walk to anywhere you need to go, like trendy and quality restaurants, spa treatments, haircuts, banks, even the gym which they provide memberships for clients. Location is important because it puts residents in close proximity to a ton of people in recovery, and different recovery meetings nearby. There are several A.A., NA, Dharma, and SMART recovery meetings nearby, and weekly they have an NA meeting and a Dharma recovery meeting at the house which are both excellent and well attended. But the really precious thing about Elements is the people. The residents are all highly motivated towards recovery and supportive of one another. The house manager is vigilant and committed to keeping residents on track. Drug testing weekly and breathalyzers every night. He also coordinates and participates in community service events like feeding the homeless. The Sober Coach is one of the best in the country. He is instrumental in reframing the situation as it applies to each individual and their long term recovery goals. He helps with relationships and communication with loved ones and advocates for the residents. He leads outreach ventures eg to maximum security prisons and includes residents in these outings. The Life Coach is one of the smartest people I've ever met. She helps residents with everything from the simple tasks of linking bank accounts where they need to go, to formalizing and updating their resumes and doing interview prep. And all of them are networked all over DFW and can get the resident in front of of exactly the right people to achieve their objectives. I've seen residents come through here and transform their lives for the better, improving their relationships, education, and career opportunities. It's a beautiful thing to see the positive transformation that occurs during a resident's time at Elements and working with the team. Highest rating. I could not endorse more emphatically. I called and spoke with management and the problem was addressed and handled the same day. The people I spoke with were very concerned and apologetic. I even received a follow up call to see if the problem was corrected and apologized again. I think that's pretty awesome. That speaks volumes to me in this day and age! Thank you "Real Deal" for your kindness. To those on the road to recovery, "Don't Give Up"! You are doing what a lot of people wish they could do and loved one's thankful and hopeful.
