I went to CarDoc a couple of years ago, on a friend's recommendation, and the discovery of a coupon in the phone book. It was for a straightforward repair, but I didn't have the tools or the space to do it myself. The repair was done quickly, but they didn't call me when they finished. I came in the third morning to settle & pick up my car. The bill was a bit higher than I guessed, but not by much, and then I presented my 10% off coupon. They gave me a modest amount of resistance for not showing them the coupon before the job, but the relented when the fine print said nothing about that. Today I had a dilemma. My wife and I had a ton of errands to run, and a full schedule, but it was time for her serpentine belt to be replaced and pulleys to be checked . Normally this would be something I would do in the driveway on an afternoon, but there was no way it could be done in the next couple of days. There's only one automotive shop in college station I trust to do anything other than tires and that's CarDoc. Aaron at the front desk is always honest and upfront with me about any problems my f250 is having, and they're super polite and respectful. I had my A/C repaired in the middle of summer and they had it up and running in just a few hours at a fair and honest cost. All the technicians here also ASE certified, which is super comforting. my boyfriend took my car here twice for oil change, and other replacement. They seem to be professional but they are all about the money. Be careful on what you are paying for I was charged 50 dollar for the regular oil and filter change and check of fluids. and over 350 more on labor for replacing things that are quite straight forward. I am not happy since checking the fluids should have been free. The cashier should have told us about their coupons and specials. read more

After being ill for nearly a week, a trip to the store was all I had planned. Car died in the middle of one of the busiest intersection in town. Thankful for two gentlemen who helped push my car and myself to safety. Triple AAA recommended I go (towed) to the nearest and available car shop opened on a Saturday with it being an AGGIE game day. CarDoc definitely stepped up to the superior service. My car needed a major repair, unexpected cost, but hopefully car will last until I am able to afford a new car. Thanks everyone. read more

I love going to CarDocs. I'm one of those people who hates going to the mechanic because you never really know untils it's all said and done what's gonna happen with your car. They take a look at all your concerns, don't try to sell you on something you're not comfortable with, and do really great mechanical work. Tyler was very knowledgeable and thorough, really explained what needed to happen and gave a really reasonable price. Also, as a female, I feel comfortable going in on my own and know they're not going to rip me off simply because I might not be very knowledgeable about cars. Love it here! read more

Honesty & Integrity. I thought I needed brakes and they showed me I was mistaken, saved me a lot of money! Hard to find honest mechanics that don't over charge and these guys are the real deal. I walked in thinking another mechanic (my dad who lives out of state) and I had diagnosed the $800 problem. Jeremy called me after an hour and said he thought he found what was actually wrong and that it would be a $150 fix. He checked it out, called me back and said he figured it out. They very easily could have replaced what we originally thought was wrong and charged me the full $800 but they were honest and helped me out. This is the second time I've brought my car there and these guys are all really friendly, go above and beyond to explain what the problem was and what they did, and have really competitive prices. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone, especially females who may be less knowable about vehicles. Lary will treat you like he's your dad. Awesome place! read more

I dropped my wedding ring below my gear shift 4 days after I got married. I called them in a panic, and they stayed to take apart my car (center console, seats, etc.) 45 minutes past closing time until they found it. I am so impressed with their work ethic and compassion. Only one star for SHOP BEING CLEAN! Took my 2008 Volkswagen Passat there for a brake job. I brought my own brakes because there was a certain kind I wanted to use. Called the CarDoc and asked could they install them even though the car has an electric e-brake on the rear wheels. They said yes it wouldn't be a problem. Dropped it off at 11:45am got a price quote on $300 and change because his supposedly ASE certified techs said I needed new rear rotors. I agreed to it and left to get a call later saying my rear calipers were shot and now the brake job would be $1500. I politely declined payed $20 for the brake inspection fee and left. Got back to Houston called Jerry who owns British Europeans Motors and he said bring it on over. Did that the next day and the end result was a savings of $1289. He only charged me $211 and that was the installation of all 4 wheels plus using the same calipers CAR DOC said that were fried. If you have a simple car to repair you can take to the CAR DOC or you might be better off trying to fix it yourself. Good luck. read more

My son had engine light eliminated on his F150 and Autozone was able to diagnose that it was due to low pressure in the turbo of eco boost engine. I talked with a few Ford service advisors and was informed that it would be any where from 700 to $1k to repair and nonetheless they couldn't check it out for over a week due to backlog of repairs. So I'm in Hurst, Tx and son is a Freshman at ATM.....I asked a recent ATM grad for a reputable auto repair business and he said Car Doc. I called and spoke with a technician and told him the story. He told me to have son bring it in and he would check it out..... I was prepared for a hefty repair bill but at least they could perform the repairs. My son dropped off the truck and a hour and half later CAR DOC called and said it was fixed and a very reasonable price. CAR DOC's has earned my business and I highly recommend that if you need auto repairs take it there. Honest, fair and friendly !!! Thanks guys you have earned a customer for life. read more

Not impressed with CarDoc's service or manners. Technicians seemed annoyed with my technical questions would not explain what they had done to identify my problem. They told me I needed to replace a part that I had already replaced twice with no change. It seemed like they wanted to sell me the same part for 3x the price and then just move on to what the "real" problem was. This is my first automotive repair experience in CS, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I changed six sparking plugs on my 2006 infiniti G35 here about 3 years ago. That was a quite smooth experience. Recently I noticed that the horn on my car stopped working. Combining with some other symptoms it came out that probably the bad clock spring caused the problem. I decided to get a new part online and change it by myself. After having some hard time I finally had this work done and horn problem fixed. However, a new problem popped out: VDC/off and Slip light came on after the ABS system self check each time I started the car. I checked some posts online and was told that a steering angle sensor reset was usually required after you took it out from the steering wheel. This is a 5 mins work but requires a specific tool that I don't have, and dealer asks for $125 plus tax for this reset. So I brought my car to CarDoc and they had my problem solved in 5 mins for FREE. Very honest and professional, and I highly recommend this Auto repair shop to everyone. read more

As single female in her 20s who knows NOTHING about vehicles, I'm always afraid of being told false information or of being "sold to" when I have my vehicle looked at. Last Monday, I took my car to Cardoc to have them check on a rattling sound in the back. I had already taken it to another shop in College Station who gave me wrong information, and after I spent money I didn't have for the parts to repair the issue, I was still left with an annoying rattling car and no idea who to trust with my vehicle. Unfortunately, I woke up Monday morning to see that someone had spray-painted the side of my vehicle in the night (REALLY?!?). When the guys at Cardoc saw what had happened to my car, they immediately took care of it! The owner's son (Jeremy?) passed out a couple of rags and some brake fluid and they got all the paint off in a matter of minutes, saving me from hours of "Spray-paint removal" YouTube videos and DIY. After that, they spent about an hour and half working on my vehicle and researching the issue....and didn't charge me a dime for their effort! I was so impressed!! Not only did they treat me with an AMAZING customer service experience, but they greeted every customer that walked in with the same courtesy. Over the years, I've been to several auto repair places in CStat and I'm always shocked at how some places treat their customers. At Cardoc, I left feeling informed about my vehicle and the issue it has, the options I have to fix it or drive it like it is (including after-care for the spray-paint damage), and I wasn't pressured or sold an unnecessary service that would only have been a waste of money. While I didn't have the funds to fix the problem at the time, you can bet I'll take my car to Cardoc in the future. read more

Best car repair experience I've ever had. Initially my car would not start so I had it towed to Cardoc. After paying for the diagnostic tests, they found nothing wrong but they were able to get my car running by playing with the accelerator. My engine had somehow flooded. A couple weeks later I had to go back in for another somewhat related issue and they did the diagnostic tests for free and were able to better diagnose the problems. When I took my car in for the third time in a month, they kept it for 4 days and constantly ran tests and again did not charge me due to the ongoing problems. They informed me that my head was cracked and that it was so minor that it was not worth the money to fix it. They did however walk me over to the neighboring car parts store and show me the best "DIY" fix for my cracked head. They were the most friendly and helpful mechanics I've ever used and I would go back to them for any of my car problems. They charged me the absolute bare minimum and were so friendly. Customer experience and not profits seemed to be their focus. read more
