My mom had surgery and she needed help at home considering my schedule was chaotic. Granny Nannies were very FLEXIBLE in not only finding time for me but also worked around my mom's schedule. They also offered FLEXIBLE pricing based on those needs This was the first time my mom had a surgery and she didn't know what she needed in terms of recovery. The Granny Nannie team FOCUSED on exactly what my mom needed, proactively took care of things for her and around the house. When I greeted the care giver in the morning, I was greeted with a smile. And when they left for the day, they left a smile on my mom's face. Just a wonderful team of FRIENDLY caregivers. I would highly recommend giving Granny Nannies a try if you or a loved one needs that extra care.

There is a shuttle service to BUMC Roberts Bldg, but, unless it's too hot you can just walk over. Deep Ellum is just one block over, so, there is lots of eating and entertainment within walking distance. Twice Blessed is where out of town patients and their care giver stay post Transplant, for approximately 90 days. During that 90 days you and your care giver are going to clinics, education classes, physical therapy, dialysis, or whatever is appropriate. Apartments are $50 a night for a single which has two twin beds (I call this the Lucy and Ricky Apt) all utilities paid. Apartments are fully furnished with a small T.V., free WIFI, couch, recliner, dinette, stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, coffee pot, can opener, silverware, pots, pans, and, some dishes. Everything is of cheap quality, but, it is appreciated. The commode is only bolted on one side. When you lean, it leans. Catch my point? It also leaks like crazy. But, don't worry, if you fall off the pot, Fire Station #3 is right across the street. There are rules you are supposed to follow. They say no to smoking, alcohol, and, pets. Not even a goldfish is allowed! Trash is to be placed into a black can and sat outside the apt Su - Thur from 1800 - 2000. I've always been a rebel when it comes to authority. Just sayin' I don't always play by the rules. Small apt, appx 600 sq ft. For convenience at $50 a night, I really can't complain. I am fortunate to have these services made available to us. God Bless Twice Blessed!!

It's great that it's walking distance to the medical center. However, there are shuttles that come every 15 minutes Monday-Friday or you can even drive yourself (you will have to pay for parking, FYI). The front desk lady, I forgot her name, was extremely pleasant. I'll be sure to get her name next time I'm in town. There also is a gym that's decent, along with a swimming pool. I did see a computer center but it was on the weekend and it wasn't open at the time so I'm not sure the actual availability for the computer area but you can just inquire. All of the units are air conditioned and there is a microwave, stove, oven, fridge etc. The biggest plus is the location like I previously mentioned.

Yet, I have never seen a team like Reliant Hospice. Jennifer, Devin, Denise, Tracie, Yolanda, Chaplain Kelly (i hope I've missed no one) are the finest examples of angels on this earth I have ever had the honor of watching They came into Mom and Dads home, took control, and ministered to our every need. They anticipated our needs and addressed them before we knew there was a need. They treated my dying Father with such dignity and respect that I was awed by their compassion, professionalism, and kindness. I cannot say enough good things about this team. If your family is in need of hospice care, do not hesitate to join with these angels and let them guide your family through this difficult transition. You will not be disappointed but will experience the care and compassion you need. If you want to have further information please email me at mjbacon11@yahoo.com I will be honored to share with you the experience of my family. Please give me that privilege.

This company is managed by not only incompetent but rude and arrogant people that seem to have no interest in the caring aspect of the business they are trying to run. This is a highly incompetent organization only interested in billing your insurance company. I give you a few personal examples below: 1. If they tell you they will visit between 1:00 pm and 3:00, you can count on them arriving after 4:00 pm. 2. Their nurse measure the blood pressure and reported it to be "normal" at 109/47. The actual BP was 190/79 requiring medical intervention. 3. It took four attempts and three nurses to organize basic medication boxes. The errors included missing dosages, wrong pills ate wrong times, and double dosages of medications such as for blood pressure. On one occasion, the patient's BP dropped dangerously low due to double dosage of medication. 4. The worst part is that the management is not only incompetent, but arrogant, rude and indifferent toward addressing the issues. They are only interested in one thing. When pressed, the solution presented is for you to go find another provider. I question the positive reviews here. The insurance industry and the responsible Texas agencies need to thoroughly investigate this organization. My suggestion is to shut them down and use them as an example for other such businesses in the home healthcare industry.

There have been times we've needed caregivers 24/7, and there have been periods of time when we've only needed a caregiver for a few hours here or there to support mom while venturing out to a doctor appointment. Legacy at Home is flexible and allows us to shift between mom's needs with very limited notice. After a recent fall and an ER visit, mom was sent home about 10-11pm. With a few hours advance notice, we were able to have a caregiver meet her at her facility and stay the night with her to provide the support she needed. The schedulers are fantastic and the caregivers are warm and loving. If for some reason a caregiver cancels at the last minute (car accident, illness, dangerous weather, etc), the scheduler on duty will work tirelessly to find a replacement caregiver and they will call back with regular updates on their progress - no matter if they are successful in locating a replacement caregiver or not. And most of the time they are able to find a replacement caregiver. They have amazing people who are caregivers. Many of them have made this their career choice and they want to help and support their patients. It may take a few caregivers before you find the right personality match between your loved one and the caregiver, but once you find the right matches, it's a wonderful thing! The caregivers select their preferred schedules and patients and you start to see the same people over and over again because they form very sweet caring relationships. The caregivers may even text an update here or there, if you also form a relationship with them. I highly recommend Legacy At Home. They have provided significant peace of mind for our family knowing our mom is being well cared for every day.

She had no personality and a lack of bedside manner. When we sorted out the audio, she turned off her video, so now I couldn't see her at all. Her accent made it very hard to understand and with only part of her face showing at first (and later nothing visible), I couldn't use her mouth as a visual cue to figure out what she was asking. She repeated several of her questions (as if she had forgotten that she had asked them of me) and asked for clarification on some of my answers....responses which were relatively simple and straightforward, but she couldn't understand. Overall, I found the whole session very frustrating. While it may help some members, I truly believe my blood pressure increased during the call. It was a waste of my time.
