However, the best staff there was Dexter, their office puppy! Nervous about your first visit? No worries, Dex is there to keep you company, the goodest boy. So imagine working as a nurse, on your feet 12-16+ per day, 3-4x per week with lower back pain, it is legit a mood killer. Aka, that was my life for 3 months up until I met Dr. Mathai. I had this wicked lower back pain that caused me to have decreased mobility and limited my range of motion. I was getting weekly massages and seeing other chiropractors, I even got an MRI for my lower back since the pain was so severe. Fast forward to my session, Dr. Mathai was super thorough and attentive to my concerns, and gave his recommendation of what he thought I had and how he can help with my pain. One hour after my session, I didn't notice a major difference but a slight decrease in pain. And within the next 48 hours, my mobility increased and the pain gradually went away. Within the 1st week, my pain was almost gone and my range of motion was almost returned to normal. My insurance doesn't have a chiropractor coverage, so I paid a small out of pocket cost ( less than $75). So. Worth. It. So am I recommending this office? 100%. Will definitely be back for additional sessions.

Most chiropractor visits entail 5 minutes of you explaining your symptoms while the chiropractor pretends to listen and then applies the usual back cracks for about 3 minutes and then you're done and out of pocket $70-100. Not here. Dr. Eugene Lee is fantastic. He's an amazing listener and takes great care in thoroughly explaining treatment and course of action. He caters his treatment towards your actual symptoms. He listens carefully and then may or may not do some cracking depending on your symptoms. Then a massage therapist comes in and performs a great massage geared to you. Afterwards, they will do electro-muscle therapy and then cold pack. All in all, about an hour's worth of work. Again, this is not your typical chiropractor. Additionally, Dr. Lee is also a licensed acupuncturist so you have the best of both worlds if you need it. Don't bother going anywhere else. Come here. You won't regret it and you'll feel fantastic afterwards.

He felt some relief instantly after the first session. The initial evaluation was very thorough and we can't thank Dr.Kang enough. When I said I had my X-Rays done before, he tried to ask me where they were so he can look it up on his computer. I lied to him and told him that I did it at LH. All of a sudden he said he magically found them and said I had major scoliosis issues and he was going to charge me $575 for 1 visit to take further consultation. Yes $575 FOR ONE VISIT. FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE FOR ONE VISIT. He was also very pushy and rude. This came directly from him and not from his assistant. He also didn't see my X-ray since they were done at another clinic and not at LH. I lied to him. I went to see multiple chiropractors and they looked at my printed Xrays and said I didn't have scoliosis. They said I had a slight curve but it could have been fixed with a few adjustments per week. Each of them also charged me somewhere from $30-$59 for the initial 1 visit consultation. So many people were cheaper. Other chiropractors had to get my consent, signature and SSN to access the X-ray from another clinic. Paul Kang did no such thing, and he lied to me and said he found my X-ray and lied to me when he said I had scoliosis. Also one chiropractor took an updated X-ray of me in his office and said I didn't have that much of an issue. After 3 weeks into another chiropractor's treatment, I feel much better. I also have Xrays to prove that my spine is getting better. My spine feels nice and I feel more flexible and relaxed. So many chiropractor plans to fix me in 8-12 weeks cost around $250-$340. Those were the total cost for weeks of treatment. REMEMBER PAUL KANG TRIED TO CHARGE ME $575 FOR ONE SESSION. Who knows how much more money he was going to scam and shake out of me. I'm lucky that I didn't fall for his BS! You shouldn't either. Also 2 Orthopedic MDs offered to do my X-ray and fix any scoliosis (if I had any) for $200 consultation and $4,000- $7,000 surgery. All of this with insurance. Yes allopathic doctors offered me a cheaper consultation price than the greedy liar Paul Kang. chiropractors use alternative medicine, not the evidence based allopathic medicine. I don't mind acupuncture and chiropractors. But we need to make this distinction. You are not in the same league as allopathic medicine. Many insurance companies don't cover chiropractors because it's alternative medicine. But the chiropractors nearby made me pay cheaper out of pocket and delivered amazing and excellent results. Only my allopathic medics take insurance.

I'm a pharmacist -- been doing it for over 25 years. I've dispensed more NSAIDs than I can count. Advil, naproxen, diclofenac, you name it. And I can tell you from experience, those drugs can do more harm than good -- ulcers, bleeding risks, interactions with blood thinners. So when someone suggested acupuncture, yeah, I was skeptical. But after my very first visit, I noticed a difference even before I got home. That got my attention. What really surprised me though was Dr. Lee's knowledge of food and inflammation. I'm a pharmacist and I was genuinely blown away. He explained how what I eat was affecting my pain, and that changed things for me. I'm 58 and I'm still playing competitive table tennis and golf. That's not nothing. Today I came in for a sore left knee from golf. He treated it, and while I was there, also took care of some vertigo that had come out of nowhere the day before. Walked out feeling like a different person. And I have to mention the receptionist. She always remembers me, always makes me feel like I matter. Honestly, that kind of warmth keeps you coming back. If she wasn't there, I probably would have gone somewhere else a long time ago. Dr. Lee -- thank you. Truly.

If you have never had acupuncture before, it can be a bit alarming, but it really does the trick and he is a miracle worker. I have to acknowledge the bad reviews regarding the receptionist. The front office is run by the doctor's mother, who does not speak English well. She is very kind, but may sound on the rough side unintentionally. If you are having a hard time communicating, leave your number and ask the doctor to call you back. Then you have smooth communication. I really do not think that there is a better acupuncturist in Bergen County, so in the end, it is all about great treatment, which is exactly what you will get here.

This was a major inconvenience to me since I was already on the bus to Fort Lee when I decided to call just to confirm. I had organized my afternoon so that I could be in fort lee for my meeting so it was very frustrating to find out 30 minutes prior to the meeting that the doctor decided to leave due to what he called a "emergency with his daughter." Whether this was real or not, his office could've called me to inform me of this change. His response over the phone when I called him was: "I had an emergency. Come at 5:30 or leave." Wow. So rude. Instead of apologizing for his last-minute change of schedule and asking if some other time would work, he demanded that I excuse him for his "emergency" and shouted at me, telling me to go somewhere else or wait until 5PM. His attitude was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. When I called him out on his rude behavior, he criticized me and made a derogatory comment about my being on medicaid. I posted a photo of our exchange. Rodgers, take a class on customer service and bigotry. Avoid this place. Went to a chiropractor down the street.
