This place is a complete scam and I'm beyond angry. They forced me to sign paperwork making them my primary care provider (PCP) or they wouldn't even see me. Dr. Katende personally told me I had nothing to worry about because my insurance -- Health Plan of Nevada -- has a $0 copay for primary care visits. That's the only reason I agreed. I've only been there two times, and both times, I told them at check-in that I have a $0 copay -- they checked and said "okay, no problem." No charges upfront. But later, I started getting surprise bills: $50 for my son (which I paid just to avoid issues), another $50 for him, and over $200 for me. Even if this were being billed as urgent care -- which it should NOT be -- they still promised I wouldn't be charged. They lied. When I called, I was left on hold over 30 minutes, then finally got someone who said they'd call me back. They did -- only to give the usual "we're sending it to billing" line. What a joke. This is a small office -- they ARE the billing department. Total runaround. Now they're refusing to send my prescription to CVS, claiming they'll do it once the "billing issue is fixed." That's outrageous. I told them I'm diabetic, and the lady on the phone was completely dismissive. She didn't care at all. I tried to explain the situation and prove my point -- talking to her was like talking to a wall. No compassion, no responsibility. I'm reporting this place to my insurance, and I'm also filing complaints with: * Nevada Division of Insurance * Nevada State Medical Board * Nevada Attorney General - Consumer Protection * Office of Inspector General (OIG) * CVS Caremark for obstruction of care * Better Business Bureau (BBB) This place is dishonest, unprofessional, and dangerous. They're lying to patients, blocking essential medications, and billing people for services they said would be covered. Avoid this place at all costs.

We truly cannot care for anyone else until we attend to our basic needs, like our health. Recently, I had some experiences that made me rethink and realize the fragility of one's health. I found this little clinic from word of mouth, Gabriel mentioned it to me. They have great hours, take my insurance, and have the best team. A caring team! My principal complaint when I made the initial appointment was for pain management relief from low iron levels. My hemoglobin levels were way below average, actual at 6. Yes 6! This is the reason for the pain in all four of my limbs. The low iron was causing irregular sleep patterns or no sleep, breathing issues, and a few other symptoms. But one needs "sleep," to survive. The doctor did blood tests, and offered the use of steroids to deal with the pain from low iron issues, so at least I could sleep. I was offered the chance to have a steroid shot and another pain medicine via my vein. These shots were reasonable at $50 each with payment taken at the time of service. It's been a little over a month that I've been able to make this office work for me. The staff is again very kind. While I've had to back off the shots while awaiting my first iron infusion the little bit of relief for the physical pain that comes with "low iron," was at least partially relieved due to the staff here and their recommendations for my health. We have but fleeting moments in life, during this phase and small moments of my life it was truly life changing. Just having someone that cared while awaiting the medical treatments was a god send to me . Pain is a mind numbing experience and really shakes an individual to their core . The staff and all their ability to care truly shows in their service to helping others that are in pain and need no matter what their condition or circumstances. If you live in this area and need immediate assistance for medical treatment and are awaiting something give a call . Let's connect and keep our health so that we can keep spreading love and kindness to others.

He had to be told not to take my BP until the I had sat for a few minutes and not while talking bc it gives an inaccurate reading. Then he didn't even ask if I knew the correct method to put an ace bandage on a fractured foot. Admittedly it's been over two decades since I had to use an ace bandage. So no I had to look it up. When I was preparing to leave I was very dizzy due to orthostatic hypertension. Which caused blurred vision. The MA went a head of me to hold the door open. The NP saw I was dizzy bc I bumped into the wall and brought over a wheelchair while the male MA just stood there with a blank stare Lastly, the male MA gave me crutches and when I got home saw I that he put each one at different heights. Another reason I bumped into the wall. Oh, I only learned about the RX they sent to the wrong pharmacy bc I was reading my records. The NP or MA didn't even tell me about the RX. Two months ago my husband went to this location. The doctor took a listen to his lungs, left the room and the MA came to say 5 RX would be called in no explanation. My husband had to return a week later at which time they did an x-ray to determine he had the pneumonia. So why wasn't that done on the first visit?

The previous time I did this, I was able to go during my lunch break. Here's what happened this time. First I got an email from PDS Medical on 12/24/25 reminding me I have an appointment on January 7th, 2026. I confirmed the appointment. Then I get an email on 12/30/25 reminding me I have an appointment and letting me know that I can save time by using e check-in. Done. I checked in using the online portal. Finally. I got a text message the morning of my appointment on Jan 7th again reminding me I have an appointment. Confirmed! My appointment was at 1:30pm, so I took a lunch break from 1:00pm-2:00pm. I showed up at 1:15pm. Checked in at the front desk. The receptionist, a very nice lady named Esmeralda charged me my $70 copayment. She emailed me my receipt. Receipt received in my email at 1:17pm. I waited in the lobby patiently. I was then called in at my appointment time exactly at 1:30pm. The assistant took my blood pressure & weight, then escorted me to the waiting room at 1:35. I sat in the waiting room until 2:00pm! Christine V. never showed up! I heard her walk into a room of a patient that showed up after me at 1:58pm! There was no communication from the staff letting me know they were short staffed. Nor was there any communication for warning me that the wait would be longer than expected. I left as soon as my lunch break ended 2pm (and returned to work late). I did let the nice receptionist know that no one ever came in the room to see me. She could tell I was upset when I walked out. Do you think anyone called me to apologize? No! Not during the drive home, nor during the remainder of the afternoon or evening! The next day I got a message from the MyChart portal letting me know my prescription refill was denied. The portion I paid for my blood work on 12/24, and the $70 copay for the office was a waste of money!

My sister is a stroke recovery patient who saw her PCP, Dr. Pervaiz, at American Urgent Care (AUC)…read moreon May 18 following her discharge from inpatient rehabilitation. During that visit, she needed: 1. An outpatient rehabilitation referral 2. A neurologist referral 3. A CT scan referral 4. Prescription refills 5. Completion of a disability form Although Dr. Pervaiz spent only a few minutes with my sister before leaving for another facility, we came prepared with a clear list of required items. During the visit, I reviewed these items with both the physician and office staff and confirmed the information needed to complete each request. Despite these discussions, none of the requested items were completed correctly or in a timely manner, resulting in significant delays in my sister's care. 1. Outpatient Rehabilitation Referral I provided an NCEP outpatient rehabilitation brochure containing NCEP's fax number and location information. Approximately one week after the visit, we received a referral to a children's therapy provider despite my sister being over 45 years old. This error required multiple follow-up communications and delayed the start of her rehabilitation services. 2. Neurologist Referral After multiple follow-ups with the clinic, we received a referral more than a week later. However, the phone number listed on the referral did not correspond to the provider address and NPI listed on the referral. As of June 3, AUC still had not provided a valid neurologist referral. 3. CT Scan Referral My sister had to return to the clinic the following week to request the CT scan referral again because it had not been processed. The referral was not faxed to the imaging provider as requested. After obtaining an emailed copy and forwarding it myself, I learned that the referred imaging provider did not accept my sister's insurance. This required additional follow-up with AUC and several more days of delay before a corrected referral could be obtained. 4. Prescription Refills At the May 18 visit, we provided a concise medication list from my sister's hospital discharge paperwork, including anti-seizure medication, blood pressure medication, and cardiac medication. I repeatedly emphasized that her medications would run out by the end of the month and that no refills remained. Office staff confirmed the pharmacy information during the visit. By May 28, no prescriptions had been sent to the pharmacy. We were forced to make multiple calls to the clinic before the prescriptions were processed. We later learned that one of these follow-up calls had been documented as a telehealth visit. Given the importance of these medications to a recent stroke patient, the delays and handling of this matter were highly concerning. 5. Disability Form We provided a one-page disability form to be completed by the physician during the May 18 visit. Despite multiple follow-up requests, the completed form was not returned until the first week of June. These issues are documented through communications with the clinic. The repeated errors, delays, and lack of follow-through significantly impacted my sister's post-stroke care during a critical recovery period. Based on these documented events, I am filing this complaint with the Better Business Bureau for review.

I scheduled online, uploaded my documents, and was able to track my place in line through ClockwiseMD. I received a text estimating my appointment time was 10:28AM, but the ClockwiseMD webpage kept updating and showed my appointment time would be at 10:52AM. I would suggest using the original text wait time because I received a text at 10:20AM that I was ready to be checked in. I arrived at 10:32AM and was seen at 11:20AM. I appreciated being able to see live updates through Clockwise MD instead of sitting there wondering when I'd be called back. It was really busy so I can see why my wait time was pushed back. Shalee was my medical assistant! She was very kind and professional. She took my vitals and explained everything to me clearly. I waited only a short time for Dr. Selena to come in and explain my results. She was friendly, thorough, and made me feel comfortable to ask any questions. The front desk staff (Armani, Chris, and a trainee) handled everything efficiently during what looked like a busy shift. While they weren't overly warm, they were polite and professional. Overall, I had a good experience at this CarNow and would return here again if needed! Note: This location is covered under my insurance, but I did still have to pay a $50 copay, which is standard with an urgent care center.
