Diana gave the absolutely best deep tissue massage. I have mild congenital hip dysplasia and it sometimes really hurts. I also re-injured my shoulders again and have had limited movement due to the rotator cuff injury. I just showed Diana the places where I needed extra help to relieve the pain and she really focused on those areas and after the 60 minutes I was able to do my intense hot yoga sculpt and HIIT pain free. This was the worst "massage" experience my daughter and I had. We came in, it was slow. We wanted foot massage. The ladies were so soft I was wondering what was wrong. My daughter looked at me and then asked if they could do harder, but not much change. Then to make it worse, when I tried to pay the woman at desk said it was $75 when the sign behind her was very clear, $70. Not that $5 was huge, but it was the principle. She kept insisting and I insisted back. What a mess to have to deal with this. Then when I went to tip, she said I had to pay a certain amount. i was going to tip generously but this was insulting. She insisted, I just wanted to get out of there. So, much for feeling relaxed. It made it terrible. Very stressful and it is ILLEGAL to force someone to pay a tip at all. Stopped by for a much needed foot reflexology session during my time out in here MD and so glad that I did! I didn't have an appointment but they were able to take me in and see me right away. My poor aching feet needed the care and attention from the masseuse here. There's an option for body, foot, or combo massage spanning from 30-90 minutes - I personally opted for 60 minutes foot massage. The center is mostly relaxing although there are guests coming in and out and other minor distractions happening (but I expected it so I wasn't upset about it). If you've never had reflexology I would recommend you stop by if you're in the area; it's a bit painful, but a good pain if that makes any sense, lol. read more

I went to Care foot on Saturday and the first thing I noticed was how clean and how beautiful this business was. My therapist was Hanaa, and I told her where my areas of need were and what type of pressure I preferred. She did a variety of techniques at various pressures and throughout the treatment, I could tell that she listened to me when I explained to her what I needed. I was her last client, and I know what it is like on a job at the end of the shift, but she still took her time as if I was the first client of the day. This week, my lower back has been feeling better, and I have had a boost of energy. The entire staff was welcoming, and this added to the positive atmosphere and professional experience. Wonderful experience. My friend and I made an appointment and had a mini family emergency, so we ended up being 20 minutes late on a Saturday night. They were extremely understanding and still took us in for the appointment. The room, blankets, and ambience was very comfortable. And they have hands of magic! After traveling and moving items up and down three flights of stairs my legs and feet were in pain. I found this place and saw that their prices were extremely reasonable and they were open on Sunday. I didn't have an appointment but was able to get in without a wait. It's in a small store front so even though you are in a secluded room, you can still hear your surroundings. I have yet to experience the acupuncture or body massage so I can't speak on those. But for the leg and foot massage for 30 minutes, you sit in a recliner chair with the legs up. It was a deep pressure massage and worth more than I was charged. I've been in several locations around the area and I found this place by accident so I decided to try, the price was great, very clean and have private rooms. I found in my experience that techniques are usually combined and its up to you to tell the massage therapist how you want the massage, the amount of pressure and where you need more attention, I usually go there for injury prevention for the sport I practice and I am very happy with the service. Ok I can't believe what I just experienced. Now listen folks, take this from a person who really enjoys massages and have literally tired over 15 places in this area alone. Me and one other person both purchased groupons and since we were both in the area together thought why not call and see if they can see us together or relatively close to the same time. We called the lady told us 5pm so we killed an hour of time and headed over. We patiently waited until 5:20 to get started and made no fuss. We're very understanding people. They asked us to undress to our comfort level and it began. Both of our people seemed extremely inexperienced. What REALLY upset us about the massages was that the groupon we got said you could choose amoung the 3 different "styles"; acupressure, reflexology, and Swedish. They didn't ask us which one we wanted so when I realized that I got oil rubbed on my back and he didn't all they did was rub his back through a towel we were pissed. We asked the front lady why we received two completely different massages and she said I got Swedish and he got acupressure. That's just crap. Why didn't they ask us what we wanted?! Here was our LAST straw... When we went to tip out of COURTESY all I had was $16 in cash. So we gave each of them $8. When the front lady counted in front of us how much we have as tip she points to a sign they have talking about since they have such low prices they DEMAND a $10minimun as tip. Um excuse me? Tipping is not required. And for a massage we didn't even enjoy why in the world would I want to tip more? This place is filled with rude, and less than experienced people. They look down upon people who have groupons too. If you want a GOOD massage with experienced people look elsewhere. WORST massage ever! Came here using a Groupon otherwise I would have left. The room has a pony wall so you can hear everything. I heard the toilet flush 14 times (I counted them), The microwave I heard five times. I heard all the phone calls and the appointments being made. I heard every person come in and be greeted. I heard one of the employees who was on the leather couch moving around and coughing. The masseuse never paid attention to anything I said. I said I wanted upper back only. She started with my legs. I told her upper back only. Three Times she went for the gluteus and I had to repeat myself: "upper back only." 75% of the time she did the massage with the sheet over me. After the appointment I went to reception, refused her offer of water and as I was heading towards the door she is was pointing and tapping on the sign for TIPS (seriously?) I just shook my head and left. They need to rebuild their interior so that there is privacy and quiet. They are in the Kentlands for goodness sake. This is an upscale area where people expect upscale service. Take down the clock that belongs in a child's bedroom, turn up the air conditioning so the place is not 82°. Put speakers in each massage room so that the relaxing music is available somewhere other than the lobby. Understand that with pony walls, whispering to everyone does not make it better. I will take Massage Envy over this any day. Oh and I just visited their website. The pictures look nothing like the space. The clock in the massage room looked similar to the picture. It has no place in a spa. I get it. It's a foot. Don't force the imagery just because you can't find a foot clock that's appropriate. read more
