I do not recommend the installer , Carefree Homepros, that was sent to us by Jacuzzi bath. We were given the run around for 3 months due to a mold problem that had arisen from the poor application of the sealant in a new shower that had been installed 12 months prior to this situation. When trying to have someone come out to fix this problem we were told it would cost us 125.00 per hour. Do not go through them.Please check other installers as well as bathroom remodels. read more

These folks I installed a new full tub for me six years ago. The installation went well. I recall their installer went above and beyond. This was a rip-and-replace installation. Fast forward to today. The knob on the faucet spout became stripped and needed to be replaced. Having no idea on the hardware manufacturer, I called Carefree to inquire so I could get a replacement part. They informed me the installation has a lifetime warranty and offered to schedule a free onsite replacement. Of course I accepted their offer. The technician arrived on time and took care of the issue in short order. He was pleasant and professional when I asked him a few related questions. As he was leaving he told me "call us if you have any other issues, we'll come out and take care of them for you." Overall, a very pleasant experience. read more

Today, we had a corner shower stall replaced by Chris H. from Carefree Home Pros. We were told to expect our worker to arrive between 8:00-10:00 am. Chris arrived promptly at 8:00 am. From the moment he arrived until 3:30 pm Chris worked nonstop. Chris layed down drop clothes from the entry door, through dining room, up the stairs and to the bathroom. Chris asked our opinions as to where we wanted the grab handle and if we wanted the wall up to the ceiling. There is an issue however, with Carefree Home Pros. As you can see in my photos, there are not soap built ins on the walls. The photo in my contract has two soap build ins. I am reaching out to the company to rectify this. I had a new shower installed about 9 months ago. The installation went well and I was happy with the work. I took my first shower and it was absolutely the worst shower I have ever had. The water pressure was so low that it was almost unusable. When I contacted customer service, I was provided with You Tube links that involved my using a drill to modify the shower head. I don't even own a drill, nor do I have any desire to do this after I just paid over $15,000 for a new shower. When I replied back, my emails went unanswered. I ended up putting my old showerhead back on, and I am absolutely not happy with the waste of money spent, and more so by the lack of customer service Fast forward to about a month ago, I again tried to get in touch with customer service to have a plastic seal replaced. My first email was sent on 7/21. It is now the end of August. I have emailed numerous times, left many voice messages, all of which go unanswered. I am unable to get in contact with customer service. It has become apparent that they will never again take your call once the job has been completed. I hope that I have no major problems, as the warranty will mean nothing if they never respond .Buyer beware. read more

Disappointing experience from the very beginning! First of all the salesman measured incorrectly, not by inches but by feet. So the install day came and they had to take the product back and re order it. We ordered a specific kind of door which they told us that we had to pay extra for, but on the 2nd install date they were totally different doors that arrived. Looked very cheap and were the exact ones we already had and said that we did not want them as they keep falling off of the tracks. As it turns out they said they don't make the doors we ordered in our size, but no one communicated that to us and they took it upon them self to order these doors without asking. They also ordered and installed the wrong shower head and promised that they will put the correct one in. Lastly, no one communicated to us that the back side of the shower wall would have a 4 inch horizontal seam straight across the back of the shower. All in all I am completely dissatisfied with the way the shower came out. I would rather get my money back and have it done by a professional company! Questioning how they have stayed in business for 20+ years? I also asked for the manager and the salesperson to call me back. Never heard from the salesperson but the sales manager called 2 weeks later after I left another message. So the reason for the 1 star (which would be a 0 star but not an option) is poor communication, disappointing workmanship and very cheap looking product that in the end is not what we paid for! read more

I had a tremendous experience with Carefree Home Pros. My interaction with Alfred, my salesman was very pleasant and stress-free. There were no pressures tactics and he was straightforward and honest. Chris H. was the installer. He was neat, efficient, and worked very effectively. He explained things every step of the way and finished the shower installation in one day. What keeps this from being a 5-star rating was that my installation was not able to be completed because the handles to the glass shower door were not correct. They now have to be ordered and that will take several weeks. I am not happy about that. What could have been a great experience was tainted by this error. We had a shower stall replaced. The installers that did the job, Chris H and Rich were fabulous. They did an amazing job from start to finish. Unfortunately that was the only good part of our experience with Carefree Home Pros. We signed the contract on 10/26. We were told start date would be 11/27. When we didn't hear from them I called and was told they would start 12/13. The sales rep that took the measurements ordered the wrong size door and we had to wait till after the holidays to get the door installed. NOT HAPPY!! read more

Took an elderly man on medication for a ride once they saw he was in a compromised position. 80% of the work had been completed before my dad signed the contract that stated the new crew would rip down everything and start from scratch. Well the "crew" was one guy who they took off another job, used all the sheet rock and other materials that was supposed to be taken down. My fault for not looking out for my father, but you'd think when small businesses are dying for work they'd try to put their best foot forward. Something that should've cost x cost 3x. read more

Actually zero stars. Did not hire them. My phone # was a lead from "Angie" and they have not stopped calling, four-five times per day, for two months. Might have spoken briefly once with a rep but never scheduled anything. Perhaps they install some things properly for some people and maybe they even have some fair prices. I don't know. But as a general rule I would say that high pressure sales tactics and constant phoning are red flags. Seems like they are out to sell you a loan in the guise of a shower. read more

No stars whatsoever they deserve but had to put on to write this review this is the worst company they are the poorest of quality and professionalism they installed the shower and cracked my tile floor I had to call every day to get them to get a new floor installed but they wanted to do the cheapest floor possible finally I got them to install the floor that was the same as I had they used their own floor installers and they left the job the first hour because they didn't want to move the washing machine so they had a plumber come which took another week finally floor was installed and the grouting was horrible I called carefree they told I have to deal with the floor people this is now going on over 6 mos all I can say is don't hire this company or you will be regretting it also the floor installers put a hole in my bathroom door read more

We had 2 bathrooms done over. One bathroom had tub taken out and replaced with just shower. Also sink fixtures and toilet replaced. 2'nd bathroom had new shower installed along with new sink fixtures and new toilet installed. Also, grab bars installed in both bathrooms. All of this work was done in one day! Shane Rascati and Chris Howell along with other workers did the transformation. They were amazing! They were professional and knew what had to be done and did it, They were very polite and respectful. Everything was cleaned up and finished by late afternoon. Alex Mann was the consultant that came out to our home initially to formulate what was going to be used for products as well as what was going to be done. He too was knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. Karli Anglis was customer representative that reviewed and coordinated everything to be done so that work would go smoothly including that the right products and amounts were ready on installation day. She also worked with us on scheduling the day and time of installation. She was extremely helpful, professional and respectful. Everything went as planned without a hitch! To conclude everything was great including the cost which never varied once agreed to. We could not be happier with the whole process. The bathrooms look great, everything works properly and is totally functional for our needs. Bravo to the people of Carefree Home Pros.Thanks for a job well done! Eric Lion sold me a Jacuzzi tub which featured jets for my back. They installed a tub with no back jets as I was told. I already owned a jacuzzi tub and only wanted to upgrade due to the added back jets however they, Carolyn Stancliffe told me there is nothing Carefree can do. I was lied to and taken advantage of. Non of my fixtures match, it says chrome on my contract and non of them have the same finish. I was burned by the hot water and was told the hot water could not be adjusted however my last tub was just fine. I have run out of options and get little to no response from them and have taken to social media. I am 74 years old and feel like I was taken for over $10,000 for a tub. The man who came in answered all our questions, he was comfortable to talk to, and very attentive to our needs during the work. If you're getting multiple quotes, schedule these guys last. I had them in first, and was given a "good for one year" quote of $40k, a 30-day quote $36k, and an act today quote of $30k. Seemed very high-pressure. I then had 3 other contractors quote the job, and all of them came in lower, while also quoting more of the project. In their $30-$40k quote they weren't going to prep the walls for paint, and wouldn't do the odd-sized vanity. They were also going to complete the two bathroom job in 5 days, where the other quotes all said it would take 10 days, most likely due to only doing in stock standard sizes. They were also the only contractor that wouldn't give me an "in writing" quote. Maybe they do great work if you pick them, but get some other quotes before you do. read more

Promises aplenty. There was a lot of pressure to sign the contract. The fine print was particularly treacherous. Once they start the work most likely they will ask for more money for "newly discovered" deficiencies in the original structure. Once they get the payment you will never see the agent again. Over the phone kept promising to address my complaints. Finally gave an appointment, but nobody showed up. Brushed nickel promised, delivered mainly chrome. Promised warranty for two lifetimes. I honestly have to admit to date, now almost a week after the install, literally we took the step to take a shower in our new shower...why because he said 24-48 hrs but if you want to be generous, give the caulk some extra time to cure if you can....so we did....BUT lets just say from my initial phone call to our visit from the sales rep to the install.....Top notch and not at all did I expect it to go off without a hiccup but what I found interesting and amazing is that a small hiccup for them was a full possible unsettling feeling that they were not at all comfortable to continue unless i was comfortable and they were aware i was fine. With so much said, It can garble in many way minor little details. Even big ones can get screwed up, let alone minor small ones , but when I asked the installer my question, he mentioned it to his boss and his boss to the sales man and sales man called me as he needed to be sure I was ok...that my friends is Customer Service "CS"few companies still practice such levels of CS and for that I am grateful and extremely pleased. Currently im awaiting to save up to get the second tub done, but definitely done correctly and have it look perfect the way it should. Can I mention my faucets,? lets just say, i have NEVER Felt such smoothness in mechanics of a faucet like I do in mine, truly proof its not a faucet you can just get at the local home improvement, yet made with a different level of QC and materials of possibly better levels which will more than likely be the faucet i will stay with until im gone from this earth because thats how steady and solid and good it all feels.........Im pleased, im satisfied and after my next install when i cross that bridge, i will share my final thoughts...but as of now...If anything anyone knows about me is that i have no filter, I have no problem saying what i feel and putting on blast whaT is wrong, but on the same note, It is imperative that when you get service and workmanship at the levels I feel I received from this company, that also must be said.....Ill say this.........when it comes to pricing...if you notice, I didn't put pricing level or my opinion of such... I am not a plumber a contractor or whoever else is needed to finish such a job, but It was just around what i expected it to be as you must be somewhat realistic in understanding all factors, not telling anyone how to charge, or how to do things, or what YOU think it shoudl be...and ultimately me saying whether i thought it was expensive or cheap I firmly believe if I would be shopping by price alone which is a GRAVE mistakeI would of missed out on the levels of quality attention to all details and the CS I received and continue to receive if I have to because I have no doubts in such CS quality...SO, in short, if your considering them and your budget can afford to get the product you need from them, then I would comfortably say, your in Good hands and I have no doubts you'll also have peace of mind. That my friends for me and most of us in life, is priceless...peace of mind, knowing that what i paid for and planned is gonna be done as talked about not played with.....oh yeah one more thing...i didnt feel any trying to make me feel pressured or anything of that nature, they gave me the price and told me exactly no wishy washy playing on emotions, or pressure. this is what it is and these are the costs for such planning if you purchase immediately vs. waiting. Some may call a gimmick I call that incentive to push you along because some of us are procrastinators.....That I can appreciate also because I don't haggle If i cant afford what your offering I just don't get it, because I go back about putting a price on something I did not study or spend money getting education to justify my opinion of what a person is or should b e paid for what they do. Its disrespectful and when someone does it to me, i don't like it so why would I do it to anyone. IF anyone in a business transaction is not happy then its a bad transaction period. Happy providers of services and products when compensated what they feel they are worth and if you are able to compensate accordingly then with the same satisfaction they will make sure your job is done with the same level of satisfaction. Unfortunately, I did not even get as far as a quote proposal from this company. They sent a sales representative to my house who took measurements and images of my bathroom. He then claimed that he did not have a working phone (very odd and unprofessional for a traveling salesperson) and used my cell phone to call his office. He held the phone up to my ear and then walked out of my house without discussing a quote or finishes with me. The person on the phone explained that they would need to reschedule as my fiancé was not present. I had explained to the person on the phone SEVERAL times that I am the sole home owner and decision maker of the home but he insisted that I could not make a decision without a man present. I became very upset with this misogynistic, arrogant attitude and continued to explain to him that I do not need my fiancé at the home to make a decision and I asked to speak to a manager. At this point, he asked what he could do to make things better. Seriously?? I told him that I would like a quote and he assured me he would be back in touch by the next day. I never received another phone call or follow up. I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect and condescension. I am incredibly uncomfortable that this random sales person walked through my entire home and took pictures and he had no intention of doing business with me. I have talked to several companies since last week who have been pleased to assist me and they have not questioned my relationship status. I had many companies come out and the only one that listened to my needs and took the time with me was CareFree Energy Solutions. The rep provided me information that actually solved MY problems and showed me window options. I was welcomed with such great customer service and a project coordinator that walked me through the entire process and kept me updated at all times. The installation crew was outstanding. The crew was funny, helpful, and so clean and neat. I was worried because my project was rather large and I thought I would have a huge mess as a result. Not so, the guys cleaned up after themselves and even helped me put my furniture back in its place. They did a thorough walk around with me to make sure I was 100% satisfied and showed me how to care for my new windows. I set my thermostat down while they installed my windows and totally forgot to raise it back to normal when they finished. As I was leaving for a few days on Thanksgiving, I decided to program my thermostat while I was gone. To my amazement the thermostat was still programmed 10 degrees lower than I always run it yet my house is warmer than its ever been. From start to finish everyone at CareFree was wonderful to work with and they made window shopping hassle free and worry free.
