This is our third year at Carefree Resort, we usually stay a month, but I'm never ready to leave when a month is up! We just booked a three month stay for next year!! Of all the resorts we visit, this exceeds in every aspect! The staff and guests are so welcoming and friendly. The pools and clubhouse have a very "resort" vibe. They have a golf putting area, bowling alley, food at the back pool, theater room, tons of activities. The sites are the biggest we have ever found! I'm amazed it's so affordable with all it has to offer. Best of the best! read more

we were lied to when we put down a deposit. we were told no barking dogs allowed. there have been two all winter. one on each side. there is a security gate that is open and a sewer problem. it stinks. there is a housing development being built next door. dirt and noise starting early. the front desk has done nothing about the dogs. they decided our stay didn't matter. the electric bill is insane as well. the water in the pool and spa will give you rashes. the showers have no hot water at the pools. no one showers. there Is also no landscape. It's rocks and dirt. Not a flower around. read more

We have stayed the winter season of 2023-2024 and absolutely love this resort. I just started playing Pickleball and learned how to play here. They have organized play for all levels and coaching! I am completely hooked! They also are cooking meals for lunch and dinner on scheduled days for purchase....excellent! Two pools you can bring your own drinks and grills are available also. I just visited Carefree Village Resort for the first time in a couple years. It was very impressive how clean and friendly. I felt like I was part of the community by my welcome.The New homes that are being built and sold make this a Top notch 5 star Resort. The Pickleball courts are really nice and well maintained. There is Bowling Alley tournaments . This Resort is really first class for a winter visitor. I toured Yuma and this Place won me over . It sure is growing into a Happy Place to visit or live in. I am really impressed in the Growth of this community in just a couple of years time. Look forward to visiting again. read more

Great people and clean. If you are considering buying a house in this part be fore warned you may have repairs that will not get done. Waiting for 2 years to get the cracks fixed in the sheetrock. We were told to wait until the house settled which took us past the warranty. Don't seem to be any interest in getting it fixed. read more

If you like a place that has construction noise all day long sometimes starting at 5 AM and a lot of noisy dogs this is the place for you.

We've been coming here since it opened. The first year we stayed a month. The next year a few days on the way to and from San Diego the third year to and from San Diego again but on the way back through I got stopped by the "PROPERTY MANAGER" when walking my dogs Who told me three dogs are not allowed. HMMMMM... nothing changed from the previous times I was here and told them we are a three dog family EXCEPT they are now "full" and don't need new business during their busy season (Jan feb mar). I was actually told if I wanted to come next year there's no opening left in Jan... they are full. I so hate when a place becomes known and busy and they forget what got them there!!! Chalk this OVER REGULATED place off our list for each year we come back this way now. One star cause the place is clean and sites are big. No picnic tables and new rules with growth. read more

Nice place if you like a gravel parking lot for a campground. Not a tree or a blade of grass to be found. Front desk staff is rude and can't be bothered when an issue arises. Told us over several days that "we are busy, nothing we can do about your issue" but it is their park and their "amenities" . Also charges top dollar ! Their are prettier friendlier parks nearby. Dont recommend at all. Won't be back... read more

Carefree Village is a large park - 400 ish sites with more planned. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. This was our first visit, and we were treated like old friends. The park consists of huge gravel areas with RV sites one after another. There is no privacy between sites except all the gravel. There is no vegetation or trees. The sites are very wide with a spot for rv and room for a car, sometimes two. There are tons of amenities. Two swimming pools, two hot tubs, pool tables, a ping pong table, a small 9 hole miniature golf, a putting green, several pickle ball courts, several shuffleboard courts, a couple bocce courts, and card rooms with tables. Also, there are some planned activities. Directv worked fine. They have cable but we didn't use it. Verizon was 4g and 3 bars. The WII FI is very unreliable (which is shocking for such a nice resort) so we relied on our hotspots most of the time. It's busy during the day - you can hear traffic, airplanes, helicopters, and trains. There are only 4 trash bins for the whole park, and they were overflowing most days. They either need more trash bins or more frequent pick up. There are lots of minerals in the water so it leaves stains. Overall, it's a decent park, and we would stay again if in the area. read more

Used to be a nice place to stay. Not anymore. Management stinks, but they reflect ownership arrogance. 90% of this year's work campers have quit, and are not returning next near. The activities director doesn't have a clue what she's doing. Has the same old entertainment year after year. She has no personality, she continually lies about workers and will not enforce any rules within the complex. The cleaning crew used only hot water to wash and clean the bathrooms and showers. Which resulted in black mold on the shower walls and on the floors. She was shown the mold and did nothing about it. Out of her own mouth she was heard to say...." I must be the most hated person in this park.."...and that is true!! read more

We are going on our 2nd week here. Staying another two more weeks. Such a great place. Huge lots so plenty of room for your slide outs. Lots of activities to get involved with. Mini golf, bowling, yes there is a three lane bowling alley. Two swimming pools, game room, rec room, laundry facilities. Pickle ball & tennis courts. Several pet areas & a lot of walking places!! This is a fairly new, I think this is its 2nd or 3rd year being open, place. Over 400 sites & they have area to grow. Close to a huge Walmart, Frys, restaurants & drug stores. We are loving our time here & plan on coming back next winter!! Check them out!! read more

Great new community, about 2 years old. Has a bowling alley , pickle ball courts, activities all the time. Something for everyone. Lots odd Sat. Night dances,shuffle board, and the lady goes on. For a few days or a few months to get away from the snow check or this rv resort in Yuma Az. We love it here, love it so much we bought a resort gone here. read more
