Wonderful getaway. Very romantic.. love the hot tub, pool and the sunsets. Very nice people.

I stayed at hidden shores this past weekend and was extremely disappointed with the resorts management. The facility was beautiful, like we had experienced in the past. However, a handful of "new rules" were put in place since we had last stayed. My wife, kids, and I were sitting in the sand watching the sunset and were asked by security to leave the beach because it now closes at 7pm. Sun was still up, many boats out enjoying the water and we were told to pack up or we would be locked out of the gate and given a fine. The sign at the entrance to beach literally says "beach is open until sunset" but management never updated the signs. Super bummed after all the money we paid to not be able to sit and relax for a sunset. Make sure you read the 5 pages of rules on their web site before coming to hidden shores. read more

My family went here and it was pretty fun. I played at the golf course and it was pretty fun.

We arrived early, as can happen when traveling, and were told it would be $51 to check in, even though the spot was empty. On check in we were told "sorry we have no fobs to access the pool you will need to have someone from the office/store let you in until 4 at which time you will need to go to the guard shack(which is a long way from the poll) The "heated pool" was cold and you could smell the chlorine which was very harsh on the skin and the hot tub was not clean. There were no activities as they cater to the owners and they are not there in the off season. The leash rule is not enforced and the majority do not clean up after their dogs. The owners come in and gather on the beach and urinate behind the diesel tank(females too) when you report it they ask if you know their space number, really? The best think about this place is the off season people who put together their own hiking and off road group. They are friendly and know all about the area!! The restaurant had good food but was only open a few days out of the week. I would not spend the big bucks to stay here again. read more

This is the perfect getaway! The water is always so nice, clean, and warm. Clean environment and perfect for boats, jet skis, and kayaks! Definitely recommend coming in an RV or getting a vacation home! read more

Deidra, the desk clerk was above and beyond the rudest person I think I have ever met. Our family was driving to stay the weekend in our trailer, upon our arrival we called to confirm our stay and ask if we could change our trailer location. This was all was good on the phone when asked if we could move our location to be closer to friends, this wasn't a problem till we met Deidra she flat out lied to us about what we just talked about on the phone 15 min prior, the new location was all of a sudden booked, well the whole weekend this booked spot stayed vacant . Just amazed how customer service is not what it used to be, and people can get away with. This experience will help me decide where I go spend my hard earned money next time.. read more

I've been going to this place for 30+ years. I'm done. I tried to make a reservation new management policy 3 days minimum. My wife and allot of other people only get 2 days each weekend which they will charge me 3 nights but Im only using 2 nights. This is a way to increase their profits. I will not stay somewhere and pay for a night I'm not using. Most people go back on Sunday anyway. read more

Honestly the camp ground is great and I'd recommend it but the restaurant there needs improvement. There breakfast is spot on, however there lunch and dinner isn't that great. It's food but I'd rather ramen noodles or a microwave burrito over there dinner. I had a burger from there just today thinking they'd improved since last time but the burger was bland and had no flavor same for there carne asada it just had less flavor than a piece of paper. If you want good breakfast go there (I recommend the chicken fried stake) but if you want good lunch/dinner go to fishers. read more

Went for the first time last weekend and had a blast. Make sure to get an ice cream cone after your day in the sun. We even woke up early and swung the clubs on the executive golf course while the others slept in before we left. read more

This place is amazing. It was the cleanest facility I have camped at yet, friendly staff and a descent store with more than average amount of items to buy compared to most camp stores. I really liked that they had gas, propane and a restaurant as well. I cannot wait to come back this summer. read more

We have been coming to Hidden Shores for the past 15 years. Always the week of June 21 and stay on the beach front. This year we arrived 45 minutes early before check in at 1:00 and were not allowed onto the premises unless we paid an additional $99.00 for an extra day. So we had to go park in the storage lot by the main road. Apparently this rule just went into effect a couple weeks ago and there was just a small sign posted at the check in booth regarding this. Now if this was a holiday weekend, I understand it probably gets to be a nightmare where people overstay their checkout time when others are trying to check in. But the week we go, there is probably 2 campers on the beach and no reason to have sent us away. Pleasant staff but this was definitely a piss off. read more

I arrived at hidden shores out of curiosity. I spoke with the women at the desk trying to ask questions. They were EXTREMELY rude and neither of them would put their phones down while was speaking to them. The shop was dirty, completely unorganized, the stock was irrelevant and most of it looked like it had been sitting out for millennia. The prices were absolutely outrageous. There were golf carts and old people driving in every direction in the parking lot with no regard for anyone around them. People were quit blatantly drinking alcohol and driving around putting their boats in the water etc. this is like a rednecks paradise. If you like overcrowded overpriced not well maintained RV camping with 25,000 friends. read more

Decide for yourself if this place is worth staying at - I left without complaining about anything to them and then they sent me the note posted below my reply. September 1, 2014 Dear Hidden Shores Staff & Management As you can see I received your - let's call it a canned notice which you must really be proud of for you attached it to a blank e-mail and didn't even have the courtesy to sign it or include contact information. I have always been under the impression that staying in a RV park should be a pleasant experience and not like you're in a concentration camp. Upon reading your attachment I didn't know if I should laugh or feel sorry for you. I have owned a camper or RV for close to forty years and have stayed in parks/resorts from California to Maine to Florida to Washington and not one - I repeat - not one has charged a fee of $80 per night. For $80 per night I was under the impression I was going to be staying in a Robin Leach type of resort for rich and famous instead I was greeted with speed bumps that can remove fillings from ones teeth not to mention what it does to the RV. Next greeted by a guard at the gate house who asks far too many redundant and unassociated questions and then sends you onto the office where you are asked several more. The staff then proceeds to make certain you signed and initialed many pages of human & pet regulations plus takes another check list out to inspect ones RV to make certain it meets your standards - all this even after you required me send a picture of my rig prior to "granting" me a reservation! All this checking and you have rigs in the village far older than mine and definitely not as good looking. Once all your check lists were addressed I finally received my camp site number and directions to get there - no map of the village was offered. More speed bumps and there was my site - an un-level gravel pit with debris and cigarette butts all around. As for the rest of the "Village" cell service is almost non-existent, no wifi, no pet area nor bags to pick up the poop nor a container to put it in (I wonder what the health department will say about this) - the playground - horse shoe pits - volleyball & picnic areas haven't been groomed in months plus the area had 1 over flowing trash container with fly's and mosquito's all around. A prestigious "Village" like you seem to think you're offering and yet you only have two trash containers in the entire place? You even have the nerve to suggest people take their trash home with them - when was the last time you rode in a vehicle in triple digit temperatures with a weeks' worth of garbage next to you? Before I stay in your "Village" again I will expect an apology from you for your lack of respect to your customers. Plus you will have to guarantee better amenities i.e. camp sites, trash service and a minimum fifty percent reduction in your daily rate. I also want you to know I am not ashamed of my reply and that I will be posting it on various camping web sites to let other campers know how Hidden Village treats their guests. The price you charge you should have notified all your guests of and on coming storm on Thursday 8/21 or at least had your staff go around to assist or put up lose items at unoccupied camp sites. _________________________________________________________________ To Site Holder: Jim K When you departed your site D174 RV View Beach, you left a large amount of trash behind. As per rule #18 "you are responsible for your trash removal, either take it home with you, or put in the trash compactor behind the restaurant. We were down there for 4th of July weekend, which I hear is one of THE busiest times to go. Not to mention super. freakin'. hot. I don't believe you can rent boats or jet skis, but if you have your own, take them! There are a couple boat launches and slips you can rent, or else lot of boats were tied to the "beach". Our friends have a fishing boat so we took it out on the river and back into a couple lakes that weren't heavily trafficked by the jet skiers or wakeboarders scaring off all the fish. Caught a few fish, only one being big enough to keep and eat (a delicious bass!) There's a store that seems to have plenty of supplies of you've forgotten anything. The pool is an ok size. There's a game room with ping pong tables and maybe something else but I can't remember. I'm not sure of it was still hidden shores property, but there are lots of trails out in the desert for ATV action. The restaurant was understaffed for such a busy weekend and usually only open fri-sun. Saturday night was all you can eat taco bar for 6.95 and nothing spectacular, but worth 7 bucks. Monday morning was all you can eat pancakes for 3 bucks, also nothing spectacular but worth the 3 bucks for the 2 pancakes I could actually finish. read more

Great first trip out to the river with our boat and RV. The staff was very helpful in getting us reserved and checked in (know that your RV or Trailer may need prior approval if it's your first time). I really appreciated so many things about this park. Very clean, good roads, parking, lake access (gas pump on the water), big, level spots which fit our RV, boat and suv. Camped right next to the beach which was also clean and free of toolies which is no easy task. Perfect slack water area for leaving your boat in the water all week. The store is pretty well stocked with the things you'd expect/need, however I don't believe they had any type of restaurant options. Internet and phone service was pretty poor (Verizon) but it's vacation so I was ok with it however two options are simply drive to the front of the park or near by on the river with your boat (full service on either). My wife and daughters(11,12) really enjoyed there time there too. I've heard its a nice "family park", the few campers we spoke to on Sunday when we arrive were all friendly and helpful but during the week there were only two other campers on the whole beach. Plenty of good fishing a clean water right at camp too. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a restaurant but we just boated upriver to Fisher's landing for a great burger (store, restaurant, bar, gas, bait, boat supply all at Fisher's). Enjoyed it so much we are hoping to make another trip before the season is through. read more
