No issues here. It is a nice clean park. Good size Level sites. Easy in and out. No pot holes. Wish they had pickleball. Great staff and the Coolest putt-putt golf set up. We have been seasonal for the last three years. In the last year management changed, and if it wasn't for the wonderful people who stay here, we wouldn't recommend this park. The new manager has locked all the gates going to the big dog park, where they don't clean or weed, has also has a padlock. Most residents prefer to use it as it is sand. The new dog park is smaller and has a kitty litter base, which also doesn't get cleaned, but it irritates the paws. They expanded the storage area, the chain link has not been stretched to be tight, have added a screen, so it acts like a wind sock with rattles. I used to brag about this park and encourage friends to check it out. Now we have weeds everywhere and garbage blowing around, and the so called maintenance is nearly useless. Fingers crossed that all this changes. read more

I loved staying here winter 24-25! The weather is gorgeous, the people friendly, and the sites are all well-kept. The facilities are extremely well kept. There are park-wide events scheduled for anyone wishing to attend. Most are free, special events (dinners, etc) cost a nominal fee. I would definitely make the trip back here from the East Coast for another winter in this little bit a paradise! read more

"Frontage Road", isnt just the address. We needed "pull through", located in the front of the property. It felt and sounded like we were sleeping on the freeway. So loud. What do I say about this place? We stayed here twice as a young family with young children. The residents for the most part were amazing and kind. One even brought us chocolates for the kids because she said my kids did something to help her. The rv park is clean and quiet. Pristine almost. Which is great! The staff... well, we had some staff that was amazing!! We had one man and one woman who were frustrating and making up rules as the days went by. No rollerskates after the kids were told they could skate, no playing on the Rc track after the staff told them they could, no riding their bikes because they MIGHT ride too fast. Like I said... the majority of the staff were great, but it only takes one person to spoil an experience. We are coming back through Yuma, but we are choosing not to stay here this time. We are searching for a little bit more of a family friendly RV park. read more

This park is definitely a miss for RV travelers. The staff at check-in and the staff that took us to our site were wonderful friendly and helpful... But that's where it stops. The sites are so close together that when opening my outdoor kitchen I could hit the other trailer. They squeeze people in the pull thrus So when you go to open your slides you are virtually on top of each other. There is a small strip of concrete in between where you are supposed to put your chairs and enjoy the outside. Sitting there you were either looking at your trailer or the car and trailer beside you I could've rested my feet on my neighbors bumper. The traffic noise from the highway is constant all night and all day. We had to go and buy your plugs so that we could sleep. We were supposed to stay for a week and the next day we were there started looking around for somewhere else. We had to stay for three days and as soon as we had somewhere we left. It is not a place I would recommend if you want any kind of space between you and your neighbor or if you want to sit outside or if you don't like the sound of semi's going by all day. We had a nice time and the people that run the park are friendly and always willing to help out. We were there only one night but they treated us like we were full timers which typically our experience. They made special arrangements for us to fill up with propane before we left as we had just run out the morning we were leaving. Overall we would highly recommend this place. read more

Heads up People, If you give them your $100.00 deposit, and you end up with any kind of Issue ( I just found out I have to have knee replacement surgery and cannot make it there) They will not refund your deposit.. I was told they do not refund deposits, obviously not even for situations that are beyond your control.. You can roll it over, but like in my case I do not know the outcome and if I will be able to get to the resort at all, so that does me no good. I guess they need the money more then I do! read more

More expensive than any other place we've stayed and they charge for extra people including kids. Wtf? Why? They also charge your card before you arrive. First time for me. It is clean, convenient and the amenities are nice but if you're a young family with kids stay away! Everyone is elderly and GRUMPY! My kids and I couldn't do anything right. We walked in the wrong place, we walked our dog in the wrong place. The office staff was rude and unhelpful when we asked for a late checkout even though there wasn't anyone scheduled to come in our spot. We are a military family waiting on our house; it would have been nice to have a staff that understood our circumstance and could have been a bit more accommodating. read more

Love coming here every year for the past few years . Great wifi and sites. Staff always friendly and tons to do. Was a little disappointed after we stayed for a whole month and really watched our electric intake due to having to pay electricity. We were sad to receive a bill for $71.. ouch that hurt! Other than that this park is a good place to stay, but higher costs may tempt us to check out other places when we come back. read more

We're staying here currently, and we enjoy the park. The office staff and owners are super nice and will help you anyway they can. They have a laundry room, water vending on site (city water is pretty salty tasting), personal dump stations, dog park, golf greens scattered throughout the park, shuffleboard areas, rec hall, library, and free cable and wifi (though don't depend on it, it's a bit sketchy) They pick-up empty propane tanks 3 times a week, supply city water (no charge), have a nice pool and hot tub, and a fitness center. Overall, I do recommend. Their prices are better than most in the area too! No military discount though. The neighbors have been really welcoming. read more

We knew going in that it was "off-season" being summer in Yuma. We found the resort to be minimally occupied but clean and very welcoming. Our 40 foot rig fit our pull-through site (#250) just fine (I've included a pic) and we had room (plenty) for our slide and our awnings though that could be a little different story during the "peak" season depending on the neighbors rig sizes. Off course, that would only be if they let us in then since during the normal season there are rv age restrictions and we're a beautiful 15 years old... The free wifi worked flawlessly and fabulously while we were there which was a delight! I don't know how it would be during the busier times. The laundry room (included pics) was air conditioned, clean and in great working order. The pool was smaller than it looked on the resort's website but refreshing and was where we could be frequently found because it was sooo hot (106 to 108 degrees). The seven park residents we met during our stay were all extremely friendly and welcoming. If you aren't fond of the taste of Yuma's water (salty) there are "salt-free" water filling stations all over town and conveniently even two in the resort itself. We found the 25 cents per gallon cost to be worth it! There were putting greens found throughout the resort which would have been nice to use if it wasn't so hot. Being off-season a few things were actually closed during our stay--shuffle board courts, resort library, craft room, and the rec room. The office was open just 2 hours each day. There is an off leash dog/walk area that is really just a big sandy lot. Be careful if your dog runs off because it is open to the street across the lot. It's the only place to really take your dog in the morning or evening...the rest of the day is just too hot and the pavement scorching for the dog's feet. There is no grass. One other thing: our tap water was never cold! We showered without ever turning on the hot tap...I guess somehow the good old sun was keeping the water supply extremely warm. In conclusion we would absolutely have no problem staying at the Shangri-La again during off-season and felt it was a good value for our needs and our wallet. read more

No, no, no. If you're idea of an RV park is gravel, no trees, no table and cheek to cheek with your neighbor for $50 a night this is your kinda place. I would just park on a Walmart parking lot and save the $50. read more

By far, the best RV park/resort we've ever visited (and I've been RVing for 40 years)!Only here for one night, however check in was highly organized and easy. We were led to our site even though it was after hours and the office was closed. Everyone here is extremely friendly and helpful. Laundry, exercise room, lovely heated pool and hottub, putting green, showers/restrooms - everything clean and well kept. We will ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Wonderful place. read more

We enjoyed our stay here. Everyone was very friendly. Sites are gravel and dirt and very level. Utilities worked well. There are lots of activities going on here, always something to do. The one thing that struck us as being odd was that people with pets are in a separate section from ones without pets. We don't have pets, but we like to see people walking their dogs. We probably won't come back to this area but if we do, we'd stay in this park again. read more
