Fun update to this saga - despite speaking with Rachel, who I am told runs several CareNow centers in the Denver area, and being told that the amount I still owed would be cleared due to the negligence of the doctor, I received a letter this week that my account had been sent to collections. After spending about 30 minutes on hold with the CareNow billing department, I was told that, sure enough, there was a note on my account recommending that the balance be cleared. No explanation for the incompetence that landed my account in collections. Not so much as an apology from anyone in the billing department. Instead, I got a vague assurance that it would be reviewed and "likely" cleared in 3-5 business days. Not to mention that the letter I received from CareNow after I filed the complaint apologized for "the care your son received". I don't have a son. The appointment was for me. I'm a woman. Incompetence and a lack of care and thoroughness all around from this fine establishment. So now, for the first time in my life, I have an account in collections. Talk about adding insult to injury. Maybe now, with the tremendous grand total of $75 that they are trying to pry from me, they'll be able to attract a better doctor. read more

This is my third time here and I never had such a bad experience like I'm having today. The receptionist was very rude and unprofessional not to mention the long wait time it took to be seen I thought this was urgent care. Not a very welcoming environment today. read more

I took my husband to this urgent care clinic because he has a pus pocket in his right tonsil, sore throat & headache without fever. He had been exposed to someone with strep about 1 week ago. I left feeling frustrated. A respiratory tech substituted as the Med Assistant,; getting his history and throat swabbing. Then the PA came in to repeat history and said she couldn't see the pus pocket despite me seeing it (I'm a nurse practitioner). She failed to use a tongue blade to better see the right tonsil. My husband was told that his throat culture came back negative, yet the After Visit Summary noted diagnosis to be "strep pharyngitis" which if culture was negative, should have made diagnosis of "pharyngitis" or "suspected viral pharyngitis", not strep pharyngitis if culture was negative. I brought the misdiagnosis up to them but decided not to wait for the change of diagnosis but would rather wait for the agar test result to come back in 3 days. Also, beware about billing as they wouldn't tell me what the UCC flat rate cost would be since "it depends on your insurance". Not having a flat rate listed should be illegal; the problems with high health care costs. We will never use this clinic again. read more

CareNow is fantastic. The facility is very nice, clean, organized and has all the equipment needed to properly make accurate diagnosis (i.e. onsite X-Ray machine and technician) The staff are attentive and efficient. I saw Dr. Shantell TwoBears on two separate occasions and she diagnosed my ailments quickly, sent orders to the Pharmacy right away and I was quickly moving toward feeling better. My mom and I visited this clinic a couple days ago. She is in from out of town and needed and INR draw. We were thinking that it would be a simple blood test with the results readable on site, however we learned that it would have to be a blood draw that was sent out with results not available for perhaps a day or two. When we explained to the staff and the doctor that her results needed to be available the next day, they were extremely accommodating and said they would overnight the sample. The next day my mom received a call directly from the physician giving her the results. On top of this, every person we interacted with at the clinic could not have been more personable and customer service driven. This was above and beyond patient care. We will definitely be using this clinic for all of our urgent care needs and highly recommend it to our friends and family! read more

Best place you can go to where you actually feel cared for. I went in there this morning for stomach issues. I couldn't stop vomiting and I hadn't eaten in 4 days due to no appetite. The gave me a shot of zofran and I started to feel better. I could tell they were genuinely concerned about my well being. Everyone was so nice! I highly recommend this place. read more

I've been to this location three times in the past three months and everyone from the front desk to the medical assistants and physicians have been awesome. Web check in makes the visit fast and easy. Efficient, kind, caring and professional staff. Saw Dr. Twobears today and she was so good with my three year old. I highly recommend this place for weekend and urgent care needs or if you have a doc that's super hard to get an apt with (like mine) for things that just can't wait. read more

We took our 9 month old son to CareNow for a cough and runny nose as well as a persistent fever. Our pediatricians office was closed due to the weekend so we had no other option and his fever had gone on for 4 days so we wanted to have him evaluated and get some guidance and peace of mind. Well that's the last thing we got...The Dr we saw spent less than 3 mins with us. She listened to his lungs and because she didn't hear anything she said just go home and do steam and wait it out. She didn't check anything else, his ears, his throat, or even really look at him beyond listening to his lungs. He wasn't actively coughing when we went in, but while we were waiting I had taken video of his cough. She listened to it once and said he had croup, but because he wasn't really coughing a lot she wasn't going to do a breathing treatment or offer a steroid of any kind. Cut to the next evening, our son is barely breathing, turning blue and shaking. We ended up in the ER telling them he had croup when he had Bronciolitis and an ear infection. If the Dr at this facility had spent any time with us she would have at least known he had the ear infection. Due to her lack of attention we experienced a preventable event. Offering a steroid obviously wouldn't have done anything as it wasn't croup, but part of the issue that took us to the ER was his fever which was brought on by the ear infection that she failed to see. My recommendation would be to go elsewhere if you have small children. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because the nurse was very kind and the front desk staff was cheerful and friendly. read more

Follow up from office needs improvement. I have been waiting 48 hours for a medication to be filled. Excuses given as to why its not done: another staff was here yesterday, provider needs to approve (carenow's doctor is the provider when asked for clarification). I've been here twice recently and both times received wonderful care from Dr. Greenwood. They got me in and out very quickly. Sari at the front desk has been helpful and kind, and nurse Mary was awesome too. Highly recommend if you don't have a primary care doc like me, (oops, on my to do list), and need to get checked out in a hurry. read more

I like the fact that the Clinic is close and that they do have web check-in to minimize wait time but here's what happened to me this week. I had x-rays taken if my left ribs and right big toe. The PA who treated me read them and told me my toe was just bruised but I had cracked a rib. Shortly after I got home I got a call saying the radiologist had seen a small distal toe fracture but the PA still didn't see it. Late Monday I was notified there was new information in my portal, only there wasn't anything new. By Tuesday I had to agree with the PA about my toe as it had stopped hurting. And I was puzzled about how little pain I had from the cracked rib. Well today the radiology report on the rib X-rays finally appeared in the portal and what does it say? "No fracture" which is exactly what I was starting to suspect. But did anyone contact me to tell me that?? No, and I find that inexcusable. read more

Went twice prior to my third time today. Great experiences first two times. Unfortunately I ran into Dr. TBs on my third time. Would not write a script for my BP meds I have taken for 15 years. Cold, rude and unprofessional. Anyone that knows Denver knows you can't just dial up a primary physician and get an appointment within 2 weeks. This "doctor" would rather I have a stroke apparently. She would not do her job. Stay away. read more

I was extremely happy with the care I received at this facility. I was visiting from Florida and ended up quite sick with acute bronchitis. This faculty was close to my sons house and I was seen within minutes of arriving. The staff was excellent. They were kind and caring and I would recommend this place highly. read more

Poor poor poor. Waited over an hour with 3 patients being seen before me, even though I had arrived before them. To told it would as least 45 mins before I could be seen!! No customer service. Lacks the capacity to see more than a few patients at once. Use only if you a lot of time to waste!! read more

UPDATE: Sandy from CareNow and I spoke several times after I wrote my original review. She was very responsive and concerned about my billing issue, looked into the problem and reached out to the billing company to resolve the issue. My husband's claim was resubmitted correctly, and from what I can tell it looks like the new claim has been processed and will be paid for by my insurance in full. Phew! Thanks, Sandy! read more

Wow. This place saved me. I had gone into the ER the night before for a severe cough. They sent me home without even listening to my lungs. I went here the next day and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I was treated with such hospitality. All the staff were so amazing and made me as comfortable as possible. The doctor explained every thing and really made the whole visit a wonderful experience. I will be going here from now on and would absolutely recommend everyone to go there. THANK YOU CARENOW! read more

I made an appointment based on a recommendation from my PCP after a phone call in which I explained I was experiencing extreme shortness of breath and body pains. I was called by Care Now and told to be there in 20 minutes which I did. I waited several minutes before anyone even noticed I was there waiting. After someone finally noticed me I was given paperwork to fill out. After I returned the paperwork I waited 35 minutes to be brought back despite being the only patient in the waiting room. I then waited another 45 minutes before the doctor came into the room. I was told by the medical assistant, nurse and doctor that I waited because my situation wasn't an emergency. The assistant told me there were other people there that had "medical issues". I'm unsure what this means as I was also having a medical issue. I was extremely sick, could barely breath or stand up. I had indicated when I was checked in that my primary care physician had asked that I get a chest X-ray for potential pneumonia. I finally got this after waiting for 1.5 hours. The doctor returned after the x ray to tell me that I didn't have pneumonia but would be treated for it. This was clearly perplexing to me but nothing more was explained. I was given prescriptions which I asked to be called in to the pharmacy which I was told no. So I had to drive to the pharmacy to drop them off and wait 1.5 hours there. I don't feel I received either good customer service or medical care. I left having no idea what was wrong with me or how to feel better. I would not recommend this place for your medical needs. read more

Deceptive. They don't run your insurance card to confirm coverage. They claim to accept Anthem but most Anthem plans do not cover CareNow. Reception chooses to ignore the claim rejection and admit you at full rates. Be sure you get all details before signing. read more
