Easy in easy out. Very attentive to your needs. So much better than going to the hospital.

Dr Frank was great. Discussed potential complications and reason to follow up at the emergency room If no improvement.

We received a refund from an overpayment and the next time we went we were told we had a balance due with no explanation. I emailed their billing department numerous times asking for itemized statements including payments made so I can compare with my EOB's and did not receive them. When I called their billing company the owner was extremely rude and told me she would not send me the itemized statements so I told her by law she had to. At that point she told me I was "threatening" her business and hung up on me. Prior to that my BCBS advocate emailed her and called her several times with no response. Three days after I was hung up on, I was sent a letter by Rachel saying she would no longer see me because I violated the patient standards agreement. Honestly, if they are going to terminate you as a patient because you question their billing policies, it shows you where their first concern is!! I have been going there for over three years and never had a problem until this new management/billing company took over. Even their staff complains about them!!!!! Welp, I believe everything happens for a reason! I wasn't planning on going back anyway until my billing situation was resolved.

Writing this review as a patient visitor. My dad recently had surgery here. GSMC is a big hospital…read morethat offers lots of heathcare services like an emergency room, a Cardio unit, and more! They also have a cafeteria. It is located off of Highway 17 and is easy to get to. As far as parking goes, they do have a big lot, and also a vallet if needed. I visited twice, and entered via the south entrance. Here they also checked us in, asked for Id, took our photo and was given a vistors pass. Both times i visited (one on 7/30/26 and another on 8/02/2026) The security person at check in was very nice. I was also with someone and knew where to go, but the security person also provides directions. Only quam is that it is chilly in hospitals, and highly recommend to bring a Jacket or something. Also, i'm surprised that there is no map of the hospital around- if i was by myself, and perhaps bad at directions, I feel that I would get lost in there! Anyways, found my dad's room in the cardio unit okay. Another thing is that there is only 2 chairs in the room, and if people want to stay long there should be another chair of some sort. At the visit of 7/30, someone needed to stand because we were 3 people. Oh, and met the surgeon and the nurse and everyone was nice. The nurse was also nice because it was time to remove some tubes that were in my dad, and she was explaining what she was doing and had a calming demeanor. Glad to see- although sort of wish I didn't have to see that because my dad said ow when the tube was out. Some people don't like seeing their family members in pain like that. Anyways. Oh and used the restroom on the south strand side, and it was a single stall! Clean but of course there was a line to the womens room for the single stall. Wasn't on the main entrance side, but hope the main entrance has more restroom stalls! This is my review as a visitor, and it was easy visiting this place.

They told me that they couldn't see me because they were at capacity. I look around and there is a mother and her son sitting in the waiting room. I let the lady know that I will wait until 7 and if the doctor can see me then great but if not then fine but I'm willing to wait. She wouldn't allow me to do this. She told me that if they couldn't let people in otherwise they would be here all night. I asked her why the sign said open until 7 if they are turning away patients at 6. She told me that she isn't turning me away that I can come back tmrw. Really? No thank you and I don't ever plan on going back. They didn't code the visit as a wellness visit and coded as a meet and greet with a new doctor. This was despite me not requesting a change of primary care provider. The change was only necessary because the provider left McLeod. After I got bills from McLeod , I contacted them and they eventually corrected their own bill but they are refusing to contact labcorp with updated coding so that labcorp can correct their bill. I have spent too many hours of my time on the phone with blue cross and with labcorp and they both tell my it has to be the provider who initially ordered the blood draws that has to contact them in order for this to be corrected.

I saw a review describing this place as an "assembly line," and after being here twice, I…read morecompletely agree. This was my second time seeing Dr. Blair, and the experience was just as bad as the first. Patients are told to arrive early, even established patients who already completed everything online, only to sit in the waiting room 45 minutes past their appointment time before even being called back. Then another 20+ minute wait just to see the doctor for about 30 seconds, only to be told he would be back. After that, another 25-minute wait before he finally returned for an injection (he's gotta sneak in those extra 2 or 3 appointments). Dr. Blair has zero bedside manner, came across arrogant, dismissive, and immediately pushed surgery on a 46-year-old patient while claiming there were "no other options." I've never met a doctor so dismissive. What makes that even more concerning is that I sought a second opinion and was, in fact, given another treatment option. At no point did I feel like my pain or concerns were taken seriously. Isn't a doctor's job supposed to include treating pain and helping patients explore options instead of brushing them aside? The entire interaction felt rushed, cold, and transactional. OrthoSC feels like a run-of-the-mill greed factory where volume and money matter more than patient care. The lack of communication, respect for patients' time, and overall professionalism was incredibly disappointing. I gave them two chances, and they failed both times. I would never allow anyone from this practice to operate on me. If you are dealing with shoulder issues, I highly recommend Dr. William Greer. He was compassionate, patient, answered every question without acting annoyed, and actually spent time with me -- about 15 minutes, which felt like a completely different experience compared to OrthoSC.
