I was on vacation in KC and developed a high fever and severe abdominal pain. Searching YELP, I selected this Care Now and showed up. I am glad I did. The care I received was of the highest quality. Dr. Gary Bernhardt attended and spent quality time listening before drawing conclusions. His years of experience informed his examination. My wife was with me, and he allowed her to add her perspective; he took her opinion seriously. They have x-ray services on site which was also a help in my case. All this led to a proper diagnosis which actually explained some issues I had been having for years. This is the 2nd time we've been to this location and have always had a great experience. The last time we went, it was for my 4 year old son who had an ear infection. The receptionist was very sweet and so kind. The nurse came out and introduced herself which I really liked because you don't usually get that. My son did not mind waiting because they were playing one of his favorite movie. We were out and about that day and were not going to be home anytime soon so we had asked to have my son's meds sent across the street. Once we found out that one of the meds were not covered, I went back to the office to see if we could have different medication sent over. I could've called but and we were without a phone at the present time. The receptionist was willing to go back and speak to the Dr, medication got switched and we were good to go. I will be returning to his location for any urgent care issues. This location is a little ways out of where I live but am willing to make the drive for the great service I got. read more

I had a simple laceration on my forehead very close to my hairline. I went to this Care Now d/t location and the fact that my employer requests we use these facilities for a non-emergent issue. No one was in the waiting room when we arrived, there were no cars in the parking lot outside the center. There was no receptionist behind the desk so I completed the paperwork lying on the counter and waited for assistance, there was no bell to signal my arrival or I would have used it. My husband finally went to the door leading to the exam rooms and asked if anyone was there. An employee came out, said "Oh there's no one here? She should be around and back soon." She then walked away, never asked if she could help us. Eventually the receptionist returned, asked if I had used Care Now before, I told her we were visiting from Texas and had used their facilities there. She was unable to find me in her database so had to register me again. When we were done she told me to have a seat and someone would be out shortly. Finally someone in scrubs called my name, when I got to the door leading to the exam rooms she asked if I had a forehead laceration (in spite of the fact that I had a bloody towel on my forehead." I said yes and she said "we don't do forehead lacerations you will have to go the ER." I told her I was an ER RN, it was a simple laceration and just needed a few stitches. She repeated that they "did not do forehead lacerations." I asked to speak with the doctor, she replied "There is no sense seeing the doctor you will just have to go to the ER." This employee refused to let me see the doctor and denied me care. I contacted the Care Now Corporate offices in Coppell, Texas leaving two voice mails for someone named Cassandra, no response. I sent an email via their website, no response. It appears that not only do the employees of the Care Now on Antioch Road not care about patient care and satisfaction but neither does the corporate office. read more

Amazingly patient and kind staff. When I was in the waiting room, the front desk attendant was juggling phone calls, three people's information and an incredibly rude patient who was constantly badgering her and so rude. She was attentive, patient and kind to every single person in the waiting room, including the loud and rude patient who was constantly badgering her and in her face. I was so impressed with her ability to effectively juggle everything and still be so kind. The care staff was also excellent and timely. The facility so clean and welcoming. All the documentation I needed and a doctors note for work was all ready for me without even having to ask. Thank you to you and your staff for making having the flu this season as easy as it could be. read more

I wouldn't suggest anyone go to this location. I went in paid my self pay was seen and was told nothing was wrong with me. The following day I called to be seen again because it was getting worse, the girl who answered the phone didn't ask my name didn't ask what i was being seen for she told me since it's a diff doctor working and the doctor didn't know what the other doctor told me previously that i would have to pay another 140$ to be seen! (This is legit the following morning i was seen at 6 pm the evening before and called at like 10am the following morning) I mean isn't what patient charts are for? So they can read up on what the doctor had said? I asked for the manager to call me which no one ever did. Horrible service horrible staff. I went to another urgent care and they told me that i in fact had a throat infection, which i got antibiotics and it's cleared up within a couple of days... read more

Amazing. My insurance provider helped me locate this urgent care and boy am I glad they did. Besides being only 10 minutes from my house the facility and people were awesome. The urgentcare itself is extremely clean, well maintained, and nice inside. Both times I went I spent less than 5 minutes in the waiting room and once in a room is was less than 5 minutes for the doctor to come in. The nurse Tannessa ( I think) was super helpful, great with my baby, and extremely nice and FAST. The doctors and nurse practioners were also very nice and fast. We were in and out of there. Both myself and baby are now feeling so much better. This will be our new go to place :) read more

I came in during my lunch hour when I wasn't feeling so great. I was in and out of here in no time. The staff was extremely friendly. Working in the healthcare field myself, I was impressed how thorough they were. I even received a follow up call regarding my labs when they were received back. The staff was very friendly but I felt I did wait a long time considering there weren't very many people there. I went for a COVID test and when I got home I realized the name on my paperwork was wrong. Knowing I needed an account to view my results, I was worried they wouldn't show up on my existing account with my correct name. I called the next day and was told even though I have an account with my correct name that I needed to make an account with the incorrect name to view my results. I am unable to verify this account, obviously because this is not my name. My results should be in tomorrow or the next day but I am not sure if I'll be able to view them without verifying my account, which I am unable to do because this account is not "me." This is very frustrating because after filling out paperwork the receptionist even verified my name and its spelling with me before I went back to get my test. read more

My whole family is fed up with this place. Horrible service, rude doctors, & unhelpful. I've been there several times & will NEVER be back.

I had to visit the clinic last week. I have never attended before. After a very short period of filling out paperwork I was called to the patient room. They took my vitals asked some questions and then said a dr would be in shortly. Within 2 minutes the doctor was there. Extremely friendly, informative and helpful. I was in and out of the clinic in less than a half hour. Had a diagnosis and a note for work suggestion on treatment etc. I have never had a positive experience like that ever at a doctors office or clinic. I highly recommend them. read more

Dr Devers is a very skilled doctor, the wait times are minimal, and the facility is very clean. Dr. Devers is very caring and understanding, while keeping a very professional demeanor. Pretty standard walk-in care nothing that really puts it over the top. The facility is nice and up to date and the medical professionals were all courteous and patient, did have a bit of a wait (roughly 40 mins during a 9am weekday visit) but nothing so outrageous to be completely unacceptable. Where this facility loses a lot of credibility for me (and I don't know if this would be true at the other ones around town) is how they bill insurance, that or they just didn't know what to do with my particular plan. Normally my health insurance costs are paid out of a separate medical account funded by my insurer so that any of my medical costs have money available to cover them so long as I don't exceed the balance available. When I went in and they scanned my insurance, they said they my insurance was valid but were unable to charge the separate medical account and I would have to either pay by cash or card. Rather than hold up the process I did pay by credit card...only to discover through my insurer that they successfully charged the medical account by the same amount I had to pay by credit card, in effect charging me twice. I had initiated a chargeback dispute on my credit card, fortunately I was sent a check for the excess charge roughly 3 weeks later thus cancelling the need for the chargeback. I know now for the future not to return here with my present insurance because clearly they didn't know what they were doing. read more

I had a very frustrating experience with this clinic. I brought my 10 month old in for some breathing issues. He was seen, given the diagnosis of croup, and we were sent on our way and told that our prescription would be sent to the pharmacy. I get to the pharmacy, across the street, and they are closed. I call another pharmacy to see if they could fill the prescription, but because the other pharmacy where the prescription was sent was closed, it was never entered into the system. My frustration is that they DID NOT due their due diligence in checking to make sure that the pharmacy was open so we could get the prescription we needed. By the time I realized the pharmacy was closed, I called the clinic back, and they were also closed. Leaving me with no other options but to take my son to the emergency room so we could get the necessary treatment. It was a very upsetting experience, and I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

It was easy enough to walk in get an appointment and be seen. The person at the front was nice and the environment was clean and welcoming, but beyond that I was incredibly disappointed with the clinical staff. Their listening skills were non-existent. Luckily I just went in with a sore throat and nothing life-threatening. The intake person asked me the same questions over & over and then would repeat back incorrect information and then I would correct him. The doctor came in and he did the same thing...which all of that information should have already been documented in my file from the intake person (and mind you I told them it hurt to talk, so with every question I answered my pain level was increasing). I told them my throat was "on fire" irritated & raw and that it was really painful to talk, breath or swallow. I had tried pain meds, hot liquids, cough lozenges and nothing was helping. In my visit overview printout they sent home with me, it said I DESCRIBED having "scratchy throat," pain severity "moderate," and that the problem "was made better with hot/cold food/liquids and with medication." In this circumstance, I don't know that their inability to listen made a difference in my diagnosis, but I assure you I will not be going back to these clinicians. The doctor I saw there talked down to me like i was some kind of idiot that didnt know how to use ibuprofen. I suspect they were treating me like I was drug seeking because my chief complaint was a headache that i couldnt get to go away. he actually asked "whats the reason for this headache?" ... umm do i look like the dr here? I explained there were alot of incidences in our family of major things going wrong in the brain and i was concerned for my well being , I expected him to do a general look over , like maybe check my eyes, look in my ears or just even listen to me breathe. Instead he went on about how he couldnt diagnose something like that there because he would need an MRI (wirh an incredibly rude tone) ok I know that they dont do MRI's but i think you can tell alot with just doing your job and examing the patient. If he felt I needed an MRI he could have suggested I seek the appropriate resource for that, He offered me a Torodol injection and called the nurse in there because he "needed a witness" I explained again i didnt want any pain medication and then i just got frustrated and left. I will not be going back there ever and I would highly recommend chossing another urgent care if you dont want to be treated like a moron. read more
