I've encountered and worked with many doctors and he advocates for those who are vulnerable and treats everyone with dignity. Front desk staff and management need better training with customer service and active listening skills, such as waiting for someone calling in to finish their sentence and not be cut off multiple times. Lack of common courtesy with a dismissive and disrespectful tone. Management was quick to side with other co-workers without having witnessed the conversation. This poor customer service is becoming more common place with front desk staff in clinics everywhere- more so for underserved and low-income populations. In fairness to the manager however, she admitted to her shortcomings and a sincere apology was offered. Don't be afraid to push back if you feel disrespected as a patient or family member. Compassion and professionalism should be standard in healthcare- even in non-licensed personnel.

I have been to this location a couple of times now, and what I have learned is that they often don't know what's wrong with you. Today, for example, they could not figure out whether I'm having an allergic reaction to a mosquito bite or something else. The recommendation was to make an appointment to see my dermatologist. Lesson learned... Next time I'll start there and save myself the co-pay. The staff were all very nice and they are trying to be helpful.

My information has already been gathered online, so there was no lengthy check in process, and I waited less than 10min before being taken back for triage with a med tech. When I was seen by the PA, she was very kind and appeared to listen to my issues. She ordered a chest X-ray (exactly what I hoped for and expected) and I was taken back for that with little wait. I was given the results almost immediately, and I was prescribed reasonable and helpful medications. Overall, it was a very reasonable and efficient visit compared to many urgent care experiences I've had.

The online booking, check in, and registration was so smooth and took less than 3 mins!! I got in so quickly which I was grateful for given I was in so much pain. I was in queue prior to arriving, knew my place, and the time I would be seen. You can even provide your location and the system calls to let you know it's now time to leave. AND they even followed up with a phone call to let me know it was time to leave, if I hadn't. The woman who checked took my co-pay was great and had everything ready before I even walked in the door. The tech who did triage and took my blood pressure etc. was also skilled, experienced, and was so attentive & reassuring. She was also patient when I had to call my sister (also a DR.) about a few history type items. I got the most amazing thorough care from my NP, Chioma Okechukwu. She was direct, knowledgeable, and was able to provide a correct diagnosis from what I thought coming in. It was late at night so she rushed in a script so I was able to collect it before CVS closed and so I could get the first restful night sleep without pain that I have had in a very long time. I am so grateful for CareNow Urgent Care. This was a better experience than I have ever had at the ER and much much much LESS $!! Better healthcare at a lower cost, didn't think that was possible anymore. The follow up care instructions were very clear and even highlighted by the NP in the key parts. They sent a text to follow up the next day and forwarded all the details of my visit to my primary care. SO SMOOTH!!!!

I don't have an answer for staffing but the wait took a long time as person after person came it and was bumped ahead of me due to their injuries. I am NOT saying it was wrong for folks hurt more than me to be looked at first, but having a wait time of under 10 min go nearly to 2 hours was a bit much. The person who checked me out, Jason, was extremely professional. He wanted to make sure he understood what was wrong and worked to fix it. There was no rush to get me healed/fixed and move on (probably part of the reason for the wait). Maybe if they could clone Jason.... Celina was very kind and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable, and went above and beyond to recommend me the proper allergy relief on top of my prescribed medications.
