I had use some topical anabiotic and had an allergic reaction and a suture site was not healing up super great and needed a different type of antibiotic. The PA, Gladys Huertas, would not even look at it before declining to treat me. This is absolutely horrible medical care, especially given how minor this is. I just didn't want to let it go to Monday from Friday evening and did not feel that I needed to go to an emergency room and sit for six hours give or take. It was oozing a little bit and just felt that antibiotics would probably be in order. My surgeon is out of the city and wanted to get something sooner. I would not recommend going to this clinic for anything other than putting a Band-Aid on a small cut to make somebody feel better because they obviously cannot give any level of care above that! I love this Urgent Care center location. The staff is very nice, patient, and calm. The first time I came here was because I was having symptoms of weakness, chills, and extreme fatigue. It was terrible and I struggled to walk or get into places because of that fatigue. I came with my boyfriend who assisted me to the clinic. I gotten into their registration via paperwork and online they wanted both. I sat back down and was told to come into a room. The tech came to get vitals then a APN came. She was nice and not rushing me. She did a test on me which concluded into diagnosing me with COVID and the flu. So no wonder I felt like horse dung. That was back in November. Then, I came here again to be diagnosed with the flu for children. Again, I was treated with quality of care which the front staff and NP were extremely nice as well as patient. The consistency matters and with St. David's Medical group you get that. Both times I was prescribed medications which aided in my wellness. The waiting room is clean and they have television playing movies. Each time I'm sick in Austin, I'm coming here without a doubt. read more

Wrong diagnosis and they didn't charge me correctly. They charged my card $206 but I do have a $25 copay for them. Horrible! Do not go!

On March 4, 2024, my husband began to feel unwell. We subsequently visited CareNow Urgent Care at Arboretum-Gateway in Austin, expecting to see a doctor for immediate care. Instead, after providing extensive personal information, a PA informed us that there was no doctor available, they could not do anything, and recommended we go to an ER. We left CareNow feeling disappointed and frustrated after spending crucial time there without receiving any medical attention. Despite this, we were charged $180 before leaving the facility. To our surprise, CareNow later sent us a bill totaling $634 for "Medical Services." We requested clarification regarding these "Medical Services," but CareNow Physicians Management Team was unable to provide an explanation and insisted on the $634 charge. To be clear, during our visit to the facility on March 4, 2024, no services were provided due to the unavailability of a doctor and insufficient facility resources. While we understand the PA's decision to advise us to seek care at an ER given the circumstances, we do not understand the rationale behind the $634 charge for services that were not rendered. read more

So, it's Saturday afternoon and the pain in my finger has become ridiculous. (Yeah, I know it sounds wimpy as heck.) I remembered this clinic was nearby and took my insurance, so I decided to look at them online. I found out I could check in online and then get a text when they could see me. So, I did the online check-in and relaxed in my recliner, fully expecting a significant wait. Needless to say, I was surprised to get a text less than 10 minutes later telling me to come in. The front desk check-in was easy enough, although some of the forms turned out to be the same ones I'd already filled out online. In less than five minutes, I was back in an exam room. And less than five minutes after that, Chiona, the nurse practitioner, came in to see me. She was friendly, understanding, and took the time to listen. If Chiona was in private practice, I'd consider her for my primary care provider. While urgent care isn't as cheap as an office visit, the ability to come in basically unscheduled and get an issue resolved in one visit is well worth the money. If I have an issue that can't wait for a scheduled office visit with my primary care doctor, I'll be coming right back to CareNow. read more

CareNow team at Arboretum- Gateway have superheroes! A professional, efficient and upbeat team. My visit to this CareNow site was superior compared to others. Provider -Jessie Hackett PA- reviewed my symptoms and with her spot on diagnosis and treatment plan I already feel better. MA/Nurse-Heaven Bryson MA took a through history, explained how to take a treatment that was helpful within minutes. Patient Rep- Joi McBrayer greeted me at the door, check me in quickly and even offered me water to feel comfortable. The fact that this corporation uses words like "honesty" and "integrity" on their website is shameful. I went in for a dog bite almost a year ago in June of 2022. I was told after my first visit that I should come in for a free follow-up visit three days later. So I came into the office even though it seemed like the bite was healing just fine. For months, I continually received bills for $270 total ($138.51 for the initial visit and $131.49 for the follow-up). I had to call an 800 number about a dozen times about the bill to make sure this incompetence would not harm my credit score. Finally, in December, I received a bill for the only the initial visit for $138 which I paid. And then, months later they sent me another bill for $131. So I took multiple trips to this office in Austin where I was treated. Finally, I received a bogus letter from corporate in the mail telling me that everything was billed correctly (even though I was told the visit would be free in the office AND I was never told that it was billed correctly in all the times I called their number AND almost a year has passed due to their incompetence). While there certainly are some good people in the office, it is abundantly clear that this corporation does not care about its patients. If you can, you should avoid dealing with them. read more

Care Now UCC in Manor, Texas I was so disappointed with the service my daughter received. My daughter was sick and could not get in with her PCP. We went to this facility because it was very close to her home on Shadow Glen Blvd. We dropped her off at 11am. We went back to check on her at 1 pm in the afternoon, and she was still just in the waiting room. They finally took her back to wait on the provider around 2pm. She waited another hour to see the provider who never showed up. Finally she decided to leave and walked home because she was tired, cold, and hungry. I called them back to complain, and the person who answered the phone said that the provider was just running "a little behind." She did not even offer an apology. Apparently customer service is not important to this business. Needless to say, we will never be returning to this sad excuse of a clinic and we will never recommend them to any of our friends or family. What a waste of time! read more

I reluctantly came here when I realized I was not getting better. I had an extremely bad headache, fever on-and-off, bad cough and major fatigue with a negative covid test at home. I was barely able to get out of bed and was starting to feel scared as I realized I was getting worse and not better. I arrived to the clinic in bad shape and in tears because of how awful I felt. The doctor came in and I explained to her that I had been feeling very bad for 7 days now and was not improving. She asked a series of questions and then did a very quick exam, looking in my nose and saying it was very congested even though I had told her I had zero congestion and could breathe just fine. She said my throat looked fine which was surprising given how hard I'd been coughing. No one ever took my temperature, and there was no testing done (not even a flu swab). The doctor said it was probably an upper respiratory virus and gave me prescriptions for a rescue inhaler (in spite of saying she heard no wheezing or issues with my lungs) and a cough suppressant, even though I told her my coughs were productive. It was just very surprising that a doctor would see a 50 year old woman crying on her table from misery, telling her that I had these symptoms for seven days that were getting worse, and then tell me I have a virus with no legitimate treatment plan. The good: I liked being able to sign in online and wait at home instead of in the clinic. The staff were also nice. The bad: feeling it was a waste of time and not getting proper care for one of the worst illnesses I've experienced. read more

The front desk lady (larger Mexican lady with purple dye in her hair) has 0 knowledge or empathy for anything going on in the clinic. She's has a very off putting and rude demeanor. Every question I asked , how does billing work , do you have payment plans, she had to go ask someone else. She also responded to every question with a glare of disgust and ridicule as if I'm the stupid one for not knowing how they handle things here. Best urgent care in Austin. They take care of me so quickly. Got me in 5 minutes before closing. Dr Osibodu is amazing and knows me by name from 2 visits. You can tell she just truly cares about her patients. Love the office and the women in here. 10/10. read more
