My daughter went to the Leon Valley location. She has chronic allergies and has recently developed a feeling of tightness in the chest, inability to take full breaths, fatigue. It's not life threatening but she feels awful and can barely make it through work every day. Her PCP appt two days ago was cancelled, and reset for 3 weeks from now. Too long. I told her to go to an Urgent Care, she sounds just like her father when he got bronchitis. They did no tests, just looked at her and said there is no problem, just wait and see your PCP. The staff was completely unprofessional with my wife went in with a sore throat and body aches and fever. Then the doctor or whatever the guy is called barley checked her ears and throat when that was her main complaint and then says nothing looked wrong she was even tested for Covid, strep, and the fluid but was given no paper and was told she came back all negative. They told her she was running a fever and gave her NOTHING to cut fever We obviously weren't happy with the visit so we went to the ER at Santa Rosa hospital by sea world where we later found out she positive for strep and she was also having a early ear infection and we be picking up medication but needless to say they just ran insurance money and didn't do a proper evaluation on her. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I visited CareNow Urgent Care on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, for cough, fever, and fatigue. I was tested for both Covid-19 and the flu both came back negative. However, the doctor told me I had all the symptoms of Covid-19 and should retest in 24 hours. This morning, I retested and it came back positive. As soon as I saw the result, I called at 9 a.m. to request Paxlovid or any Covid treatment. Instead of helping, I was given the runaround. After my third call, I was finally told I "wasn't a good candidate" for Paxlovid even though I have a history of asthma and was told to just let it "run its course." This experience was unacceptable. If you are sick or need real medical care, I strongly recommend avoiding CareNow. This was my first and last visit. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. On Saturday, the doctor gave me a prescription that no one has in stock and refused to give me an antibiotic for my sinus infection. CVS does not have the prescription in stock and neither does Walgreens. So I called CareNow to see if they could prescribe something else or move the prescription somewhere where it is in stock. The doctor was supposed to call me back and never did. I call again today (Monday) and a lady doctor called me back and was so rude. I paid $30 copay to get a worthless prescription that I cannot get filled anywhere. THEY DO NOT CARE. My family and I are done with CareNow. read more

The tech was so nice, but the NP did not listen to my concerns and made her own assumptions to what I had. I get frequent sinus infections that come with no cough or chest phlegm and she diagnosed me with a virus?? She didn't even give me a prescription to treat my sinus infection, but instead gave me a cough syrup. It's a little frustrating when you're not listened to when you feel ill. The worst. Came here at 8 am, checked in, no other patients were here. Sat here and no one even mentioned that i had to fill out paperwork after tell them i had finished checking in online. Waited over an hour and a half still no one can tell me when I will be seen. Girl at the front desk is hopeless, so unprofessional, sitting there doing her make up. That's the stuff you are suppose to do at home not at the front desk of an office. Such incompetence and and so unprofessional. Kudos to the person who hired such professionals. Horrible experience! I'm a working mother of two. I just worked a 12 hr shift and both of my boys are sick. I came here and rushed right after work. It was about 7:48pm when I got here. They were trying to turn me away because they were "closed" I told Bailey the MA who was trying to turn me away, "you're not closed yet" "can you please see my kids?" With attitude he said "yes". He denied it afterwards but like I told him, "why would I have told you it's not even 8 yet, you're not closed!" Initially he was trying to turn me away, him and the little girl in the front desk were telling me of other urgent cares to go to. There was even another patient there that turned around and said "right?" When I told them "you're not even closed yet" I definitely felt uncomfortable but just shut my mouth because my kids needed to be seen. After that some minutes later he calls us back and rushed my kids so much that he charted my oldest sons vitals on my youngest sons chart. He was def unprofessional and rushing the visit. He didn't even give them a good swab. They were more worried about rushing out because it was almost closing time. After my kids visit I gave them an ear full that they all deserved. I told them how unprofessional they were and how as healthcare workers they had zero compassion and that if they don't have any compassion then they don't belong in the health care field. The girl at the front desk was hand gesturing to them with her arms and hands up in the air because I was telling them this like she was bothered by my comments, little did she know my husband was watching. They are all quacks. I will def not go there anymore and will go somewhere else where I get real treatment by real professionals. I have been coming to the clinic for almost a year now. I love my $15 copay, but this is truly a first choice urgent care clinic to visit! There isn't always a long wait, but I have noticed Fridays/Saturdays (average lately seems to be an hour) are busier. I started coming here because I was seeking a civilian opinion of a sinus/allergy issue that had been plaguing me for 5 months. The VA continued to mistreat my issue, until all of my sinuses were occluded, even after numerous rounds of antibiotics, and finally the confirming CT. I was desperate to finally have relief, and I was very lucky/fortunate to see Dr. Alla Chapman. I shared with her all that had gone on for almost half a year. She listened, and did not rush me. She took a different approach, and I literally felt relief the next day!!! Methodist is lucky to have Dr. Chapman working for them; she is a godsend. Now I choose to come to CareNow clinic (and hope to get her each time!), instead of trying to get through my VA nurse to see my PCP. I even bring my toddler, when its after hours and we cannot see the pediatrician. I am actually sitting at CareNow now, finally writing this review! read more

DO NOT USE ONLINE CHECK IN SERVICE. I didn't even get to see anyone here, this review is to inform everyone of the terrible online "check in" process. I checked in for a sick visit using their "online check in." It told me it would let me know when it was time to come in for my visit. I did all paperwork, uploaded my information, and then waited at home 3 hours for the text message saying it was time to come in. Upon arriving I was told it would be an additional two hour wait! I didn't think the point of checking in online would be to wait 3 hours at home only to be told it's an additional 2 hour wait upon coming in. Why tell me it's time to come in if it's going to be 2 more hours. Front desk representative had no clue about the online check in either. He told me it was simply to fill out forms and didn't put me on any type of waitlist. Terrible customer service. read more

I have been to this facility multiple times over the past year and I have had only excellent exceptional care provided by all of the physicians and staff. They are timely, kind and the doctors are thorough. The doctors are patients and sit down with you and listen and it doesn't feel rushed at all. The only time the wait to be seen took a long time it was between 12 and 2pm during shift change and it was super packed and the staff made sure to make me aware of the wait time as soon as I arrived. I 10/10 recommend this clinic, I've referred family and friends and they all are impressed with the care provided. I've been to other clinics around town and this one by far beats all of them. read more

This place was awesome today. My throat started hurting two days ago so I went to sick call on lackland, and got swabbed for strep. The nurse told me they would call me in 3-5 hours with the results. (Note, never saw a doctor) results came back negative fours later. Skip 8 hrs and I was in bed at 3am coughing up and vomiting mucus. Next day I decided to come here on the advice of a friend. Couldn't have been more happy. They swabbed me again and within in 5 minutes confirmed it was strep throat. I was in an out in less than 45 minutes, meds called in properly. Dr. Chapman was professional and concise. Amy the center manager is killing it, I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

First I had to give a star so that I could post this review, but this location doesn't deserve that star .The worst experience ever. The staff were complaining about other patients and then they were talking about their own staff. I guess they forgot about HIPPA violations. And talking about their co- workers makes them miserable witches that are not anywhere near being professional and that makes them classless. I can imagine all the back stabbing that's done there . It's no wonder why they can care less about their patients.This location is currently close and that in it self is a miracle for people that don't have to go there and waste their money and time and get treated like crap . Dr. Yan was great as well, did the requisite throat swabs, both came back negative, sent a swab to the lab for a culture, came back with a different strain of strep than the office-swab showed. Good thing we were already on antibiotics, turned out to be the right one, back on our feet now! What a strong and professional business! I went in for an issue that I was having and was quickly greeted by the individual at the front desk. She quickly processed my forms and insurance. The process was smooth except some of the forms are redundant and I could have just put my information once. Within 10 minutes of completing my paper work, I was called to the exam room. The nurse was so friendly and professional. It was impressive. Shortly after, the doctor came to the exam room and listened to all my symptoms. We discussed options and my treatment happened quickly. Again, everything was done with such care and support. My paperwork was processed quickly and I was discharged. Overall, it was a great experience. My only pieces of critical feedback would be that the wait time the first day I tried to go was two hours. I had to come back the next day where the wait was 15 minutes. I believe an online system where you can check in would be helpful. The front desk said it's a walk in type business. Also, as I shared above, the paperwork is a bit redundant and can be streamlined where you only have to put certain pieces of information once. They even made a phone call the next day to check on me to make sure I was feeling better and that I was able to pick up my prescriptions. Staff and facilities were great. However the lack of transparency in their pricing is another example of shady billing practices from a medical facility. The location was unable to provide cost (not even estimated costs) for the crutches and boot that the doctor recommend for a sprained ankle. My insurance does not cover such items. However because I do have insurance, they could not quote me a cash price? I wanted to pay cash on the spot, but they couldn't tell me an amount. I was told to call an office, that was closed until Monday, or wait for a bill. Thus, we were asked to sign a waiver for refusing doctors orders since we wouldn't take home the crutches etc. Although we did not want to go against the Doctors orders, I do not have the luxury of giving a blank check to anyone. I was embarrassed for myself and the staff when we had to remove and give back the items at the check out counter. They might have been reasonably priced products, but maybe not. Or maybe they just charge different prices at different times to different people, who knows? I encourage anyone in a similar situations to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission by visiting ftc.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP and contact your congressman to advocate support for H.R. At first we didn't think that she could take my insurance but she was patient with me and turns out she could! Ryan was very nice of getting me in a room and not letting me sit out there.
