Thank you Sportscare for significantly decreasing my back pain by correcting my pelvic alignment…read moreand increasing my hip strength. I've been suffering with back pain for over 3 years. Initially I went to PT at Brooks and had awful experiences (my copay was outrageous plus I was billed extra afterwards, 15 mins of my 1 hour appointment was spent unsupervised on a bicycle "warming up," I saw a student as frequently as I saw an actual PT, nothing was explained to me, I didnt have progress evaluations, and I never had hands on therapeutic massage or manipulation.) So needless to say I was skeptical to go to PT again when my new primary care doctor recommended going to Sportscare. I am beyond thrilled for her recommendation. I wish I knew about Sportscare years ago. Frank my PT was phenomenal- he always took his time to evaluate my problems and explain everything to me. I learned a ton of new exercises which I can expand upon and continue to progress, strengthen, and improve. The hands on therapeutic massage made such a difference when I came to PT in pain. In the 6 sessions I went I made incredible progress and this is the least painful I have been in years. Frank also helped me do a running assessment so I can improve my stride so I no longer reinjure myself when I run. The facility is clean, quiet, and always on time. Plenty of easy parking, and thankfully my copay was very reasonable. They have pretty reasonable hours too. If you need PT or weren't happy elsewhere give Sportscare a try!

Hi so I have Mrs tamela Swanson for my phsyc care in the orange park office 1 and she is so kind…read moreand caring she really makes the effort to be comforting and understanding she takes her time to get to know her patients and actually listen to their needs and wants for their mental health, she's never once made me feel like my mental health or feelings aren't valid , I've had some terrible phsyc care ( and some terrible therapists too) and I can honestly say Mrs tamela is the kindest and most genuine provider I've ever had! I 100% recommend her to anyone and everyone. If you see this Mrs tamela thank you for being the best phsyc provider I've ever had ! And for therapy I've been equally blessed with a therapist that goes above and beyond , I have Mrs Alisha albritton and she's so amazing she genuinely makes me feel so safe and cared for she's so supportive and always goes way above and beyond, she's taken time out of her schedule to email me extra resources when I need them and even extra ideas to help with my coping mechanisms, she genuinely listens and makes me feel so heard and important she's kind and genuine and I really appreciate her so much I highly recommend her so much everyone deserves a therapist as amazing as Mrs Alisha albritton in orange park office 2 ! These two providers have genuinely made such a difference in my life and it's genuinely so scary to think one day when I move away I'll have to start my mental health journey again without them, but they've both given me so many coping mechanisms and assurances that I'll be able to get through it and find helpful providers when I move away so I feel much better than I did originally , Thank you Mrs tamela and Mrs Alisha

Review for Nicklous Godley, PA -- Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute…read more this is my first review and I'm almost 70 years old I have been in chronic, excruciating hip pain since September 2024 and have been under JOI's care since November 2024. At my initial visit, I was diagnosed with bursitis and sent to Brooks Rehab for 11 sessions. After completing the rehab, I received no follow-up, no feedback, and no guidance on next steps. Months later, I found out my provider had quit -- but no one at JOI ever contacted me or continued my care. I was left in pain with nowhere to turn. Today, I had an appointment with Physician Assistant Nicklous Godley, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disheartening and unprofessional medical experiences I've ever had. From the moment he learned I wasn't ready to move forward with surgery, his demeanor completely changed. He became dismissive, cold, and disengaged. I explained that I've been waking up every night in pain and asked multiple times for him to complete an FMLA form so I wouldn't face consequences at work while trying to manage this condition. He refused, saying that I'm not a patient of his and that JOI would only consider FMLA after I scheduled surgery -- even though I've been with JOI for nearly a year. In the middle of the conversation, he did say, "I'm sorry this sounds so harsh," but by that point, the damage was done. His words and tone felt completely lacking in empathy. I came in desperate for relief and left feeling ignored and deeply disappointed. There is no continuity of care here, no accountability, and no real concern for what the patient is going through. I cannot recommend Nicklous Godley to anyone seeking compassion, understanding, or true medical support. I felt like he was a used car salesman if he wasn't gonna be able to close a deal by scheduling me with some sort of surgery! He brought up knee surgery back surgery and completely turn very rude and cold because I was not interested in surgery ! horrible experience today He asked and I quote "why are you here if you're not scheduling a surgery" Do your homework before you pick out this guy terrible experience Horrible bedside manner.

First off, the doctors and nurses here would get five stars easily. Every doctor and PA I've seen has been excellent, careful, willing to spend time explaining things. However...this facility has massive staffing issues. You literally cannot get anyone to answer the phone here. I showed up for a morning appointment recently, and the line to check in was 40 people deep, curling all the way around a pretty large room, with maybe three staffers actually working while the rest milled around. I had an afternoon appointment a couple months before that, and when I went to the lobby to check out and schedule a follow-up, there was literally one person working with ten patients waiting. I'm not sure what's going on, but they need to invest in hiring maybe twice as many folks to support the great doctors and nurses here. Otherwise this practice will grind to a halt.
