Have dealt with the service department of this company for Pentair product issues in a new pool build since 7/5/22. Hailey was ALWAYS available, responsive, and engaged scheduling and updating 4 light repairs, 1 cracked locking filter ring, 2 salt chlorine generator issues. Carribean did not build our pool BUT services Pentair products under a warranty agreement. COMPANY IS AWESOME. I would rate their service department a 5+ if allowed. Dustin, Earl and Mitch completed need warranty work. Clean, organized vehicles. Clean company shirts. Completely professional. Had all the ACUMEN and KNOWLEDGE to effectively and timely complete repairs. This team and company KNOW SWIMMING POOLS. One stop shopping if you have any pool issue. Semper Fi! read more

after waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, the technician didn't show up when expected and after calling to find out when they would be out they said they could only come during a specific hour when we couldn't be available. They said the homeowner didn't need to be in attendance during the visit. This was not acceptable to us since it was a warranty issue and if the warranty didn't cover the problem there was $150 trip charge. They also wouldnt come out without a credit card on file!!! Then tried to get another appointment and they said it wouldn't be until 3 weeks later. Guess Caribbean doesn't need the business! read more

FYI If you are considering or currently using Caribbean Pools for your pool equipment maintenance, beware. We had brand new equipment when we moved in 4 years ago. Only Caribbean has serviced the equipment since they are a Pentair authorized service company. We called them recently as our pool was heating but not our spa. We were not home when they serviced the equipment. I received an email with a quote for almost $5000.00 to buy a new heater. They had already replaced the heat exchanger a year ago. We called to find out what was wrong with the current heater and was unable to get any detailed information. We called back saying now our pool would not heat. They said that the heater was condemned. Claimed it was an exhaust leak. We wanted to get a second opinion since we couldn't get details. Thanks to our neighbor who recommended Islander Pools and Patio which is also Pentair authorized. They came out the next day, told us the gas had been shut off, turned it back on and pushed a couple buttons and the heater worked. (Caribbean never told us they shut off the gas) It worked for a day or so, and then started short cycling again. We called Islander back and they came right out. They identified that the bolts holding the igniter down had been stripped. There were no longer any nuts, holding it down so the igniter would vibrate causing a leak and turning off the heater. They said it was definitely previous service techs that stripped them. Only Caribbean Pools had worked on it prior to this. We called Caribbean just asking for the last two service fees back since they hadn't repaired it which was $150 each. They refused and said they came out so not their issue. We bought a new die set and re-threaded the bolts with the help of another friend. It has been working fine for one month now. Although Caribbean pools cost us about $500 total it could've been much worse if we would've just paid the $5000 for a new heater. I now wonder about many of the other service calls where we've replaced equipment prior to this with Caribbean . Maybe it wasn't needed? We highly recommend Islander Pools and patio for your Pentair service, but do not recommend Caribbean. read more

Poor workmanship + Rude Customer Service + No Response Contacted Caribbean Pool & Spa, local Authorized Pentair Dealer for follow up on service call to repair pool equipment, they replaced a part under factory warranty. The Pentair Equipment failed to operate. Properly. I called Caribbean Pools to follow up on the warranty work. They charged us for an additional service call to come back out and sent us an invoice. I asked them why they charged for warranty work and why they did not guarantee their work. They credited us for the service charge and sent us an invoice showing a zero balance owed. The Pentair Pool equipment still is not operating properly. I called them and they refused to send out a service person. Instead, the customer service manager claimed I had an outstanding balance due for the above mentioned warranty work. This is false. We have an invoice showing a zero balance. The customer service manager was extremely rude and stated the owner starred our account because of non-payment and refused any further business with us I sent them a copy of our statement showing zero balance and left several messages to return our calls. The installer of our new pool equipment could not figure out how to get the heater going. Chris from Caibbean came out and had the problem resolved within 15 minutes.
