Out of respect for their time, I showed them around quickly, and they got to work cleaning. I left the house with my dog for a bit, though they said we could stay to minimize interference. Within an hour to an hour and a half, they were done. The cost was $140. When I came back, everything looked okay at first glance. However, later, I found debris still in the corners. The water was dirty when I mopped my floor a week later. For context, I have a tiny dog whose paws get wiped on entry. I don't wear shoes in the home, and I work out of town and am out most of the day on the days I'm home, so there is not a lot of foot traffic in the home. I'm unsure if the home didn't get the attention needed because of their busy schedule or because it stressed her, but attention to detail is critical in the cleaning business. If proper attention can't be given to a home, it's better to reschedule than leave the job somewhat undone.

Today, I would give them minus stars if I could. This was how things ended. The text: "We will not be moving forward with Fiv5 Star Cleaning. This is the third offense. 1. You extended an offer for a referral discount. I referred someone, you got paid, and then backed out of the discount. That was the last referral I gave you. 2. In the middle of a prepaid contract, you attempted to raise my prices by $10 per month. I did not appreciate this dishonest practice. When confronted, you defended this position, but agreed to "wave" this increase... "This time." 3. We discussed our next six month contract, Where I agreed that a $10 increase was not unreasonable. Less than a month later, when I went to renew, you attempted to raise the price another five dollars. So let me ask you, would you do business with a company that does this? The services are a gift to my wife. Your standards have decreased. My wife has noticed. Things have been missed. Increasing prices, decreasing standards, and deceptive business practices. This not anger. This is disappointment. We will not be renewing. Respectfully, and regretfully, I will be updating all reviews to reflect current circumstances. Do better. Be better. Integrity Matters...ALWAYS!"
