This review is not about punishment. It's about low standards, and extremely poor customer service. I was pleased with Fiv5 Star Cleaning for several years. I initially gave them 5 stars. Today, I would give them minus stars if I could. This was how things ended. The text: "We will not be moving forward with Fiv5 Star Cleaning. This is the third offense. 1. You extended an offer for a referral discount. I referred someone, you got paid, and then backed out of the discount. That was the last referral I gave you. 2. In the middle of a prepaid contract, you attempted to raise my prices by $10 per month. I did not appreciate this dishonest practice. When confronted, you defended this position, but agreed to "wave" this increase... "This time." 3. We discussed our next six month contract, Where I agreed that a $10 increase was not unreasonable. Less than a month later, when I went to renew, you attempted to raise the price another five dollars. So let me ask you, would you do business with a company that does this? The services are a gift to my wife. Your standards have decreased. My wife has noticed. Things have been missed. Increasing prices, decreasing standards, and deceptive business practices. This not anger. This is disappointment. We will not be renewing. Respectfully, and regretfully, I will be updating all reviews to reflect current circumstances. Do better. Be better. Integrity Matters...ALWAYS!" They agreed to meet me at my home, to resolve the matter, but an hour before the meeting, 2 girls that spoke no English, showed up at my door, unannounced, without an appointment or a contract. I tried calling them, the manager I spoke with was rude and disrespectful, and suggested I find another cleaning company. This is one thing we agreed on. I do not trust these people. In the five years since we moved in to our 125-year-old home, we've had this great group to clean our house every 4 - 6 weeks. We had not used them in the past year due to 3 deaths in the family and all that comes with it. Yesterday we brought them in for their "deep clean" service - a top to bottom clean deeper than typically spring cleaning. Stephanie and Becky were here for seven hours and from baseboard to inside of the refrigerator to under the sofa cushions, the place looks as good as when we first moved in. It's a real pick me up after a tough year and I can't recommend them enough. read more

I am very disappointed with the service from Five Star Cleaning. I wanted to surprise my mother, who is in her 70s, by having her home cleaned for the holidays. There are many areas she shouldn't have to worry about cleaning, so I was hoping for a smooth and professional experience. Unfortunately, this company failed to show up twice for the estimate. The first appointment was never even written down in their book. They apologized and rescheduled for the next day between 10-11 a.m. When the employee called my mom to say she had arrived, my mom opened the door--and no one was there. It turns out the employee went to the wrong address. Instead of correcting the mistake, she told my mother she had another home to clean and would not be able to come until 2 p.m. My mother, a nurse, took time off work for these appointments, and both days ended up being completely wasted. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I'm not sure how this company has the ratings it does, as they did not offer an apology beyond the initial mistake and did not offer even a small discount for the inconvenience. It is for these reasons, I do not recommend this company and will be looking for a more reliable cleaning service. read more

I've been using this service going on five years now. They were recommend by family who gave them a positive recommendation. I have a monthly cleaning done and can say that I'm quite pleased. The beginning of the relationship was a little rocky. I would receive a text to schedule a visit and then it would change a day or two before the appointment. Finally, I communicated to them I wanted the third Tuesday of every month. Once, I did this, service was more predictable. There have been times when we agreed on a scheduled arrival time and then crew would show up 30 minutes to an hour past the scheduled time. Sometimes they would send 2 people, sometimes 3 and sometimes 1. Of course the number of cleaners would determine how long it would take to complete the cleaning. Finally, I had a real time conversation with the Manager and after that we got on the same page and everything has been great. They have always done a quality job and I've been satisfied with their work. They are very competitive in price and you get good value for the money. Many times they will send team members that speak no English. That's not a problem for me as I do speak some Spanish. Usually there may be one person on the team who speaks some English. All of their billing and payment processing is done via text with their App and it's been easy to navigate and never an issue. read more

I used this company for a move in clean (deep clean). It was not done to my satisfaction. I chose not to continue any services with them. There were areas that were easily accessible and left unclean that I had discussed in detail with them. In addition, they were very late to the appointment, which delayed me for another engagement. They are very polite. Jamily did adjust the price once I sent her many pictures of the unclean areas. I would have preferred a clean home though. Recommendations--Contact references yourself, and do not accept written statements. Verify certificate of insurance, especially if the copy you're shown is clearly expired. read more

Quick response, easy to schedule. I had them come and clean my house once, everything was great so I decided to have them come a second time. Me and my husband just moved so I needed some help with organizing clothing. An extra $100 but totally worth it in my mind. The clothes were folded extremely messy, and not put away correctly. I could have done a better job myself and saved the extra money. The dishes that I cleaned were not put away, and there was a lot of inconsistencies. I reached out to the manager and she was very apologetic and asked if they could come fix it but my husband didn't want to deal with it anymore. read more

This company was hired a detailed cleaning service with no reorganizing needed. Some of the cleaning had to be redone by the manager on the day after services were rendered. Ie baseboards. vents, interior of my frig, top of my ceiling fan, the ceiling Corners where dust or webs were noticed. To add on to the repeat of cleaning, which I appreciate being done since my services were not completely done I noticed my food being eaten and some of my things missing ie my kids juice boxes(12pk), snacks opened and hidden as if it was never opened, chips and salsa eaten, and my stepping stool now missing (which I saw the maids with when I stopped by prior to my son's game to pick up the team snack I had laid out. Please be aware as I do not know if there is any additional items missing from my home. Pictures were taken and provided to the account manager who sent the manager out to rectify the issue of items that were not cleaned and to hear about my missing or use of personal items. I never received a formal apology from the person I had been in contact throughout my service setup after the incident was reported. read more

She was organized, providing me with references, insurance documentation, pricing and frequency. This was a deep cleaning but let me tell you (having used other services in the past), this far exceeded our expectations! We decided on a bi-weekly schedule and after the second service, I now know that they are the REAL DEAL! Immaculate, once again!! I recently moved into a new home and hired Fiv5 Star Cleaning for a deep clean. To start the process of booking was incredibly easy. The owner was incredibly reponsive and gave me a very reasonable quote. Then the morning of my cleaning was finally here. Dolores and Luz arrived on time. We started with a walk through of my home to discuss my biggest concerns, which I loved because it made me feel like they were committed to doing an excellent job. Then they started the cleaning. The attention to detail and cleaning could not have been more spot on. They cleaned very corner of my home. They wiped down the baseboards, washed the inside and outside of every window, removed everything from the fridge and washed all of the shelves by hand, just to name a few things. This is the cleanest my home will ever be. I am grateful for how excellent of a job they did, they made me feel confident of moving my family into the home and it being completely clean. I cannot begin to explain the thoroughness and professionalism this company displayed on our first cleaning. We were not able to be at home and left them a key. We come home after a Monday work day and walked into pure bliss. My wife says all the time that a clean house is the best feeling to come home to. While I agree, I think coming home to a clean house that we didn't have to clean, is the best! Anyway, we are now on a monthly schedule with them and count down the days I think they return. I started using this service back in Feb. 2021 everything started off with no problems. Then in April they accused me of not paying for a service that I didn't have. They canceled a service due to staff being ill but didn't check before saying I didn't pay. Then in May, their staff didn't fully clean the floors in the kitchen, living room and dining area. Then in June, their staff took something from my house. I noticed it missing about 8 hours after they left. When I informed them it was missing, they said the staff person accidentally took it and they would get it back to me. The following day, I had to contact them twice to get my item. Each time, I contacted them, they responded as if I was bothering them. They said "if this happens again, we will return it right away." The staff person returned the item almost a full 24 hours later. When I answered the door, she just handed me the item and walked away. Not "I'm sorry" or anything. Their response to a staff person taking something was wrong. This shouldn't happen in the first place. Then to make excuses as to why it wasn't returned ASAP was wrong too. I'm no longer using their services. I've used other housekeeping services in the past and have never experienced something being taken from my home. read more

This company was hired to clean after a Christmas party. Their booking was confirmed several times as well as an additional phone call that was made after they were 20 minutes late. (no answer to that call, left a message) They finally arrived an hour after they were due with no cleaning supplies (apparently) available. By that time, our volunteers were almost finished doing the cleaning themselves so the services of Fiv5 Star were unnecessary.
