Came to this caribou on an early Saturday morning. It wasn't busy when I got there, but there was a decent line by the time I left. Drinks were good - we ordered a caramel high rise and a vanilla matcha with oat milk. From an ambiance standpoint, it was very loud in the location due to the coffee machines and many people waiting in line and to receive their drinks. It was very slow. Went in for my bday Caribou today and was told that since the account my family uses is under my husbands name- he gets the birthday reward, not me. Now I did have an account years ago and did used to receive the reward so we tried my info and nothing pulled up, and was told it was due to inactivity and to sign up again and when I did that I was told that I couldn't use it until next year. I come to this location or another about 2 times a week so super disappointing that we can't have 2 people on an account for the family. So no birthday Caribou for me and lets Just say, I won't be frequenting as much anymore. I know it's a small letdown but it's the little perks in life that make your day and Cariboy definitely made my birthday this year a memorable one in not the right way. read more

I've had coffee here the last two mornings. First morning, I think the girl working at the cashier was new. She was very nice and I can forgive that she's new. However, I ordered a half decaf half regular coffee with heavy cream. They had to brew the decaf (no problem). But, they forgot about my order and I had to remind them. Then, they couldn't find the heavy cream, eventually telling me that they were out. This was not the case. How do I know? Well, my wife had, 7 minutes earlier, ordered a drink with heavy cream and there was a big bottle of it. Remember, I was sitting there for a long time as my order had been forgotten and no one after me ordered heavy cream. Anyway, none of this experience would have warranted 2 stars. I'm a gracious and forgiving reviewer. The next morning, our cashier was about as friendly as bobcat with a case of gonorrhea. That was inexcusable. Though, the impact of her rudeness was blunted by the staff's ability to successfully locate the previously missing heavy cream. I'll will be giving this place another shot in the morning, only because it's the only coffee near my hotel. My fingers are crossed that I get the friendly, and now more experienced, cashier AND they can locate the heavy cream. read more

Rude employee. A lady gave me attitude when I simply asked if they were opened. They did not open on time.

We don't often go to this location, solely because it's not convenient to much that we do. I remembered that they'd still be open when I was fueling up at Costco, so my son and I decided that we'd indulge in our Ho-Ho-Mint Mocha addiction and I ordered through the app. Per usual, the barista was friendly and our drinks were as delicious as expected. Was out in Minneapolis area a couple wks ago - went to various Caribou Coffee locales - enjoyed the beverages, service and stores themselves

In town for work and decided to walk over to this Caribou because I love their coffee. As always, the coffee was perfect but the service was less than. I luckily didn't have to wait in line and the girl nicely gave me time to decide since no one was behind me. However, once I ordered I waited quite a while to get my receipt because she was running around although she never had anything in her hands. Once I was able to ask she practically threw it at me. I walked over to wait for my burrito and they realized they never got my drip coffee. Then it seemed like the guy working was so focused on impressing a guy behind me, that he seemed annoyed that I didn't get my coffee and blamed it on the girl. Came here few times over the last few years: mainly to n Saturday's. Was crowded, a little bit slow, but I did not find it different from other Caribou. It is connected ed to the Bruegers next door. As I am writing these words, I am watching the greetings and smiling of staff to new comers, within normal Caribou standards. read more

I came here twice for my morning coffee. The first time I ordered a medium blend but they didn't have any. So I went with the dark roast. I was not happy. Today, they had the medium blend and was a happy camper. Overall, the service was good expect not having the type of coffee that morning. read more

If there was an option for no stars, I would click on that. Caribou, or my second "bou" is what I use to call it because I loved it so much and pretty much frequent the bous on the daily for years! Oh how my tune has changed in the past few months. This is probably my first real harsh cold truth review because I have had bad experiences at Caribous. Here's the scoop: Thumbs up: -there aren't as many of them around anymore Thumbs down: -coffee is not up to par like it use to be (tried several locations around twin cities more then once) -inconsistent taste, brewing, temperature, pricing, I get the same 2 drinks every Caribou I go and get different prices -they hiked up their prices, but don't match it with anything (c.s. and product) -rude c.s. at several locations, most recent experience was at this one where they played their own music way louder then the store music (some inappropriate for coffee shop too), rolled their eyes when asked to turn it down, and shouted announced to customers that they would be closing in ONE HOUR!) Say what? ? -employee's don't wash their hands after touching garbage then make drinks (2× at same location, not this one) -not as friendly as their competitors, not attentive and I've experienced many mistakes from them Need I say anymore....There are way too many good independent coffee shops and an awesome big chain shop, Starbucks that are way better in almost every aspect (c.s., flavor, variety, consistency, community oriented, price, etc) then to be giving any more shots to the Bou. I find it bizarre than no one else has mentioned this already. But this place in-store experience is STILL not open. Every other place around it is open inside except for this one. Since moving to MN from Nevada I'm abusing my new found love for Caribou! This spot is a pretty busy coffee house especially with the adjoining bagel joint. I normally take a caramel high rise or a turtle mocha and they are always delivered fast and treating great. My only disappointment is that sometimes my drink isn't quite filled to the top, annoying when you pay the extra to get a larger serving. read more

First off, with all these negative reviews, don't you agree it would be appropriate if management actually read some of these, and addressed and commented on them? Or even "claimed" this yelp page? Nope. That is your first clue they could care less about customer service. You'll find that the service is horrible, the people there make it obvious they don't want to be there. And the coffee is way below average. I go to the starbucks off of 55 and Winnetka now. It's fabulous, coffee is perfect, and they actually like people there. read more

I've been here several times for meetings and have been disappointed almost every single time. Yesterday was the time I'd be going back hopefully. They had their regular music on at first but then the barista decided she wanted to listen to her own music and put on something else over the other music so where we were sitting in the middle, you can loudly hear two pieces of loud obnoxious pieces of music playing at once. Trying to talk over loud music in a busy restaurant, I can understand. But in a coffee shop where there are only a few people? Ugh. The peach green tea wasn't as fizzy and was somewhat flag but I expected that after they told me their soda machine was broken. There was a decaf vanilla drink I got there that was also horrible; tasted like warm milk. Here's to hoping we can find another place to meet. read more

I ask for a "Cafe Au Lait". She has no clue what I am talking about. Trying to explain: "It is a coffee with steam milk". She goes: "Let me talk to the manager". Two heads better than one-they finally figure out how to charge me for my "exotic" drink. I ask to use the light roast coffee for my "au lait". She is trying to pour some in my cup-out comes water......Hmmm, they are "out of it". Giving my experience today only one star. I did not have to wait in line which made me happy but I stood there for 2 minutes while the two girls working were laughing at their phones and not paying attention. I had asked for a splash of almond milk in my cold press which i did not receive until I kindly asked and she tossed a full un opened almond milk at me to open and poor myself, seriously? The straws were also not stocked and when I asked for one she was clearly annoyed by me. Not very pleased and maybe that's why your yelp reviews are so poor. read more

Overrated and expensive, perpetually loud and crowded with too many "promotions" for a "good-cause" (so long as it comes from your pocket). Staff doesn't seem to be listening to customers so my "for here" orders almost always become "to go", wrong drinks are served, etc. In short, the only reason this place has any business is because there are no other coffee shops around. read more

Ehhh. Are you in the mood for watery espresso? Having chocolate syrup added to your latte? Don't have any taste buds? You should probably go here. I ordered a latte, and as it was Caribou I wasn't expecting much to begin with, but I had no idea they could mess up my drink as much as they did. First off, they asked me if I wanted any whipped cream or caramel added, (which I didn't because I actually enjoy the taste of coffee unlike a good portion of the people that frequent this place do) and when I actually got my drink, it was a cappuccino. No big deal, except that about a third of the drink was just foam and the microfoam was more of jumbofoam with huge bubbles in it. I mean, the employees are using automatic machines... The only two things they actually have to do is push a button and then froth the milk; they still managed to make a terrible drink. Minneapolis has too many great local coffee shops to stoop to Caribou's level. With that being said, this is kind of a dead zone for coffee shops so if you're in the area go to Forever Yogurt, because at least they can make an espresso drink, and they're not even a coffee shop. read more
