He was so responsive, friendly and very accommodating for so many things we were asking for. He was always easily to get in touch with by phone or email as well. He set up all the tables for us, had everything ready so we just had to walk in and setup or vendor booths. The room was absolutely spotless as well. AND.. Michael shot our wedding in September. We fell in love with his pictures and there is no doubt…read morethat he is a talented photographer. However, I cannot recommend him, in spite of his talent. A month after our wedding, Michael Blanchard emailed me (not even a phone call!!!!) to tell me that he had LOST ALL OF OUR WEDDING PHOTOS. His hard drive crashed and he never backed our pictures up. Further, we paid him extra to cover the wedding with traditional film, and he simply reneged on that part of the contract. Needless to say, we were absolutely heartbroken. He obviously felt bad and he paid us back in full, but that was beside the point. Our wedding photos were all gone. :-( On top of it all, he made a weird comment about my half-Asian husband's Asian family...it was definitely a racially insensitive remark -- ridiculous and offensive. I would never trust him to do any photography and I would recommend that if you consider using him, keep looking. I think he needs to rethink his career. I hope he never gets another photography job again. He doesn't value contracts and he clearly doesn't take his photography gigs seriously. If he did, we would have our wedding photos.
