I first contacted Roxas Law to see about my special case in my divorce, since I had family involved…read morewith property and my ex-spouse. Ms. Roxas was knowledgeable and kind. She assessed the situation and said that I could do this divorce on my own since it was relatively simple. Unfortunately, my ex wanted lawyers involved, so I retained Roxas Law. They worked so hard to help me with my case. I would highly recommend them.

I highly recommend Sandy Roxas to anyone looking for an experienced family law attorney. She helped…read moreme through an extremely difficult, high-conflict case, and from day one she was honest and realistic about the possible outcomes. She never made false promises or told me what I wanted to hear--she gave me straightforward advice and guided me through every step of the process. If you're looking for the cheapest attorney, Sandy probably isn't the one. But if you're looking for someone who is fair with her pricing and delivers exceptional representation, she's absolutely worth it. You truly get what you pay for. What impressed me most is that Sandy genuinely tries to resolve conflict whenever possible. She works hard to negotiate solutions and avoid putting her clients through the stress and expense of trial. But if your case does end up in the courtroom, that's where you really see her skill and experience. She is prepared, confident, and an outstanding advocate. I'm incredibly grateful for everything Sandy did for me and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone going through a difficult family law case.

This is an amazing law office - professional and reliable in every way. I hired Phyllicia Marquez…read morein December of 2020 for what became a very lengthy and highly contested divorce. Phyllicia took the time to listen to my concerns and investigated and understood the specific details of my case. She made her self available to me to answer urgent questions, take quick action, and plan for a successful settlement. She took the time to calm my nerves when I needed it and was never hesitant to tell me hard truth when I needed to hear it. She was always honest, forthcoming, and realistic. Her staff is professional. Communication was easy, and our paperwork was always completed on time. They were always available to answer my questions, and explain paperwork to me. Even after the case was settled, they still helped me to get copies of what I needed to complete my obligations in the settlement. Divorce is complicated and emotional. It's important to have someone supportive and knowledgeable in your corner. I would recommend Phyllicia to anyone who is looking for an honest, focused and reliable family law attorney.

Bruce even offered to help me with any questions I may have in the future even though my divorce was finalized! Great group of people. Nia is lovely!

With an upcoming civil ceremony planned only a month beforehand, I started looking for an attorney…read morewho would be willing and able to prepare the prenup while my partner's attorney would review it. I found Bruce via a search on Yelp and when I called to ask, he was extremely straightforward, clear, and helpful during the free consult call. I really appreciated the candidness with which he answered my questions and very glad when I got the prices from him. It would be $2,500 for reviewing a prenup and $3,500 to draft it (including reviews and edits). Bruce was also kind enough to recommend some attorneys for my partner, and once I was satisfied and was ready, I reached back out to Bruce's office to sign a contract and pay the retainer. His upfront pricing and transparency really stood out to me against all the other attorney I talked with. I'll acknowledge that Bruce did mention that it usually takes a lot longer duration to draft up and have a prenup ready to sign, but my partner and I had already discussed amongst ourselves on what we did and did not want, so it did make our process simpler as we already had settled on spousal support, separate versus community property, and related aspects. Overall, the communication & coordination was lacking; given the tight four-week turnaround I had to have the final version in our hands, I was expecting Bruce's office to keep me updated from when the contract was signed and retainer paid about timelines, required information, and any issues. Instead, I found myself having to email and/or call the office multiple times to request both verbal and then written updates. Yulissa was the individual I spoke with to get an update on my case and she was able to give me the updates as well as send a written response, but I do expect the attorney's office to provide that instead of me having to follow-up every few days. I also wish I had known that we'd need to get the prenup notarised; I only found that out once we were ready to sign - because I asked if there was anything else required -, leaving us to scramble to find a notary with whom we could meet 2 nights before our civil ceremony. Thankfully, it was all done and ready, so it didn't end up being wasted money all around, but that was frustrating and stemmed from a lack of communication again. That said, the prenup was put together with all the clauses I wanted, my partner's attorney had reviewed it and had no comments (as it covered everything we wanted), and we ended up having it for at least 7 days (as required in California). Bruce himself was responsive and attentive to my questions when I would get to talk to him and/or hear back from him. This was nice and to the point; apart from a few minor edits I had provided when I reviewed the first draft, the first draft experience was good and thorough. Whether you have a tight timeline or need an honest assessment on your situation, I do recommend Bruce. My only suggestion would be to request for a timeline as a client and prepared to follow-up I'd you're not getting timely updates/communication. I do that for a living, so I was fine with constantly following up, but it's not ideal.
