We hired Muscle Movers for a local in-town move. The move itself was fine. The crew handled the job…read moreaccurately. They got everything from point A to point B without major problems. I paid by Zelle through our bank and received confirmation texts from the bank that the transfer had been sent. Within three minutes of completing the transaction I received a phone call from someone at the moving company. From the first moment the tone was aggressive and accusatory. He insisted the payment had not come through and said I would need to provide a debit card instead. I explained that the money had already left our account and sent the bank confirmation texts, including the initial authorization prompt. He then told me that the bank does not send texts. He continued in the same manner. I provided a reference number. He still continued. Only after I sent a screenshot from the bank app showing the funds had been withdrawn and the payment was processing did he calm down. I understand a small business needs to confirm that payment has cleared. The immediate assumption of bad faith and the persistently rude manner, even after multiple forms of proof were provided, were unnecessary and unprofessional. The moving work was acceptable. The handling of this follow-up call was not.

If so where is the top of my table, did you leave it in the lot? Does not matter I am still missing things. We found containers opened that we had taped shut, and small boxes missing.

I had the absolute worst experience with Thomas Moving. I'd like to preface this by saying we've…read moremoved A LOT. We are very familiar with using movers and how things should go when done right. I called on 08/04 to schedule my move for 08/15. It was a two minute phone call as I explained we were moving a 3bd 2bth house two hours away. The only questions asked by him were if I knew the price ($120/hr) and if I wanted more than two people. He had me text him the two addresses, and that was it. In my text, I specifically asked if they wanted to see what needed to be loaded (most companies do) and if there was anything else to note before the day of my move. They said "ok". No further questions. The day of, they were an hour late due to "trouble with the truck". Come to find out, the truck was just a uhaul they were renting. Then, the guys that were moving us (who were fantastic by the way! Shoutout to Milo and Preston!) did not bring enough straps because "the crew was split, and they had the rest of the straps". When the other two boys arrived it was determined that they would not be able to fit all of our belongings in the uhaul. This included a motorcycle I inherited from my father who passed- a very sentimental item to me. There were other odds and ends such as tvs that we realized wouldn't fit either. Mind you, I asked if they wanted to see what needed to be loaded before they came. One of the boys comes out to our porch and without introducing himself just says "are ya busy?" and proceeds to say they won't be able to take everything. My husband and I protested that it wasn't our fault, and they needed to figure it out. The boy became very hateful saying "well then you need to pay for another crew/truck, they aren't going to move your stuff for free" and I continued explaining that was NOT our fault and they were unprepared, not us. He continues to have an attitude and says "it's not gonna happen" and mumbles other stuff under his breath and then just leaves the house entirely. Not appreciating that interaction, we call the main phone number and my husband explains that this person was really rude to me and that they needed to figure out how to get our stuff moved without charging us extra because this was on them. The guy on the phone keeps insisting to my husband that they won't be doing anything unless we pay extra and when I get on the phone, I realize the guy is the one who was just at my house being hateful. I asked to speak to his boss- come to find out, he's the owner! So this guy comes to my house, is rude to us and does not accept any fault for the situation with a "sucks to be you" attitude, does not even introduce himself as the owner, and then leaves his crew to deal with us while we're upset?? What kind of person does that??? The two guys loading our stuff even offered to take some of our belongings in their personal vehicle to help us out (something the owner should have done). They did end up getting the bike on but it was a tight fit- but we had to go back for the rest of our stuff (an suv and truck bed full of stuff). I've also asked three times for a receipt for the payment I made to them ($1600+) and have received not one response. This boy is playing a very risky game dealing with peoples items and money like this and being a total jerk about it. DO NOT do business with this person. All he is doing is renting out labor, and they are NOT a moving company! Bite the bullet and pay extra for two men and a truck- I wish we had!!!

HIRE THIS COMPANY!!…read more  I used Yelp to get a bid on a local moving job for the Knoxville area. We wanted it done ASAP. It went out to about five moving companies (this was on Saturday)  Within 10 minutes Ky from Bellhop at the Chattanooga office called me. Bellhop was the first to respond. Ky was so nice and extremely courteous. He helped us figure out what we needed. The price he quoted was a good fair price. Because of Ky we immediately felt confident and agreed to hire Bellhop. We received a confirmation for the job on the same day. Next day (Sunday) we got a notification with the pictures of our movers who were Alec and Austin. Alec also texted us to confirm the time etc. Alec and Austin arrived on Monday at our storage unit ON TIME and ready to work. They loaded the truck and we drove to our apartment. Let me tell you Alec and Austin were incredible. They worked their butts off NON STOP. We are on the third floor with TWO SETS OF STAIRS. They brought everything up with a smile and always asked us where we wanted things placed. We saw Alec carrying two very heavy large boxes at a time (like they were empty!) Me and my husband were shocked and impressed with the strength and stamina Alec and Austin had. And they did it in such an upbeat courteous friendly manner. They were fast too.  Nothing was damaged either no walls touched, no floors scratched. PERFECT! They were able to get heavy items up the stairs we thought we were going to have to leave behind and they were so nice about doing it! They made an incredibly stressful move stressless for us!  We are 100% happy with Bellhop and will definitely use them again. Ask for the team Alec and Austin.
