We went in without expectations--and we found a solid cherry dining room table with six matching chairs. The table was in mint condition and had two leaves. For $150, we had a new table--and we still have it and love it as much as when we bought it. That was eight years ago, and since then, we've found beautiful (and some times antique) furniture that was super affordable. I have since joined their website so I get email alerts to let me know when they've got a sale. Besides finding amazing furniture and other home goods as well as designer clothing, the way that they curate the merchandise makes sorting not only easy, but it is organized and respectful of the person/people who owned it previously, who I surmised have passed away. I've been to other estate sales in Madison, and items are thrown higgledy-piggledy, but the Amys and their team treat everything and everyone with respect.

For example, I talked with the owner before signing a lease - they said my plan to move out early and leave the place to my roommate was fine so long as my roommate stayed/paid the remainder of the lease. I moved out. I have observed my roommates experience and they have often said "where is your roommate" and "he needed to sign" -- but while I was in town and able to do all of this, I was never asked to do any of this. When they knew my plans all along! They need to designate one account manager to a # of residents so that one line of communication can guide the relationships, otherwise they just have many different people all knowing nothing about the people who are paying them and no way to meet their commitments or expectations.

If you have to clear a horder type house Tami is your gal as she will haul away alot of stuff without even trying to sell it. Also, estate sales are supposed to be held on the weekends so more people can attend. Not on a Tuesday and Thursday during the daytime when most people are at work. My folks only made about $1,800 for a very full 3 bedroom two bath house. Sure it was cleaned out at the end but it still causes us much pain to even talk about it today. If you have true treasures and want the actual price that they are worth don't go with this company. If you are ok with getting a dollar or two for something that should be sold for 50 or more than go with Tami. If you want items individually priced Don't go with Tami. If you want a sale on the weekend Don't go with Tami. If you Don't want your heart broken even a year later don't go with Tami. If you have a horder house type of situation yes go ahead with Tami as that is what she really does a glorified garage sale who will not even bother to put the teacups with their matching plates together for the sale.
