My birthday was March 17th. Someone named Tanisha left a voicemail message on my cell at 2:52pm, indicating that Carithers Flowers left a bouquet for me on the front porch at 1:17pm. I opened the door and found the bouquet on the ground with no card attached. I was clueless of who sent it and wondered why Tanisha left my flowers outside for almost 2 hours before calling me about the delivery. After sending a photo of the flowers to several family members and friends, my daughter responded in a text that the bouquet was sent from her and mentioned that she also purchased a card and balloon that was missing. She contacted Carithers Flowers to inquire and someone at the flower shop told her that a card was stuck between the flowers and I should take a closer look. I sent her a video as I searched through the flowers but there was definitely no card. So I went outside to look around and would you believe there was a DEFLATED "Happy Birthday" balloon lying on the concrete in a corner attached to a paper card with a sweet message from my daughter. She was very excited and trusted Carithers Flowers to brighten my day. Instead........her gift was ruined. Flowers brighten the day but performance matters overall. A jacked up delivery like this doesn't constitute a flower shop as being voted "BEST" of anything. Kudos to the customers with a good experience from Carithers Flowers. But my overall review is 2 stars and a thumbs down as a result from mine. read more

So happy. That describes my overall relationship and my feelings about the flowers I ordered to celebrate my anniversary. I've been a Carithers customer for more than 10 years, although I'll readily admit that it hasn't been a constant thing. I guess that's one of the reasons why I appreciate them. Back when I used to manage apartment communities, I was able to open a house account in my name to make purchases as needed for residents. Over the last few years I've called to send flowers a few times and I was surprised to learn I still had an open account with them. I don't think they do those anymore, so please don't call and say "I want an account like David K." because a) they're probably not going to open one for you and b) you might make them close mine. Now that we've decided that you're going to pay cash for all orders (or buy a Yelp Deal, like I did for one of them), feel free to order whatever you want. I usually have better luck when I request bright colors and reference sizes that are easily relatable. For example, last year for my anniversary i wanted something with sunflowers, reds, and so large it would be difficult for Edward L. to put in his car when leaving work. Success! It was beyond my expectations and cost less than $75. PS: This is my 1,100th review! I couldn't think of a better company or experience to share for this Yelp milestone. read more

There are no words to describe the stunningly beautiful flowers that Carithers arranged for my stepdaughter's wedding day ! Nikki Parker did a great job interviewing the bride to determine her favorite flowers and desires for the arrangements... and then the staff totally wowed us with the results on her wedding day. My son ordered a bouquet of flowers online the day of my knee replacement. They arrived on a Wednesday. My son arrived Saturday and when he saw the arrangement he was greatly surprised at the small 12" tall arrangement that really was almost the equivalent of a nosegay or small bridesmaid bouquet. He didn't say anything at that time nor did he tell me the price until 5 days later when he asked how long should flowers last as about 30-40% of the stems were dying or dead. He didn't know I had already removed a few stems. He spent $120+. I was shocked and besides feeling badly he spent an outrageous amount on a mediocre bouquet I was extremely disappointed they only lasted about 5 days even with daily changing of water etc. I would never order flowers from this florist! read more

I sent my friend a bouquet of flowers for her birthday and I am absolutely disappointed by the size and quality of the flowers for the amount I had paid for it. The flowers were delivered Saturday and when I saw my friend with her bouquet the next day, Sunday evening the flowers were all wilted and the size was so small being the I had paid extra for the Deluxe Sangria bouquet. For spending $92 including tax+shipping I felt I got extremely ripped off by this service. I love to send flowers to friends and family but will never use this company again. read more

My husband has sent me flowers from Carithers twice, and I am so impressed with them. The arrangements are unique, beautiful and of the highest quality. Just as great, though, is their customer service. My most recent arrangement had a piece broken off the top of the bowl, which I didn't notice until I went to water them two days after receiving them. I emailed Carithers to see if there was anything that could be done and they responded immediately with an apology and offer to deliver a replacement the same day. It just arrived and is as gorgeous as the first one. They also included a little note and emailed my husband to let him know what had happened and that they were replacing the arrangement immediately. I would have recommended Carithers before this because their flowers are so beautiful. Now, though, I'm an even bigger fan. Great customer service is hard to find. I hope my husband continues to order from them for a long time (hint hint, honey?). ;-) read more

I never write reviews, but the service here was so bad, it's almost unbelievable. I ordered flowers on Monday to be delivered on Tuesday for my mom's b-day. I paid extra for next day delivery. I got a confirmation email and even received a phone call on Tuesday telling me that the flowers I ordered weren't available, but some comparable flowers would be sent. I agreed to that and was told that the flowers would be delivered that day. I called my mom later in the day to wish her a happy b-day. When I asked about the flowers, she said no flowers were delivered. I called Carithers, but they were already closed, so I left a detailed voicemail. The next day (Wednesday), I never received a return call, so I had to call again. The man I spoke to apologized and told me that it was too late to send the flowers out today, but he would make sure they were delivered the next day (Thursday). On Thursday, as you probably already guessed, still no flowers. I had to call again and leave another voicemail, which also was never returned. I saw on my credit card statement that they had billed me for the full amount, next day delivery and all, so on the voicemail, I asked that the order be cancelled. The next day (Friday), I had to call them again since they don't return messages, and was told that my order was being delivered. I told the representative that I asked for the order to be canceled, and I want a full refund. She told me that she had to find out if the flowers were delivered and would call me back, but she would issue a refund either way. Well, I still haven't heard from her, but I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. My mom did get the flowers on Friday (3 days late) and she told me they did not look good. I saw a picture she sent me and definitely not worth the almost $90 I paid. She even told me that the local flower delivery person told her that Carithers never returned their calls either about how to proceed with order. Very poorly run business with embarrassing customer service. Go elsewhere. read more

Do not use this company. On 4/11/17, I ordered flowers for delivery on Administative Assistant's "Day," 4/26/17. It's almost 2:00 and my poor administrative assistant still doesn't have her flowers. I paid over $100 and placed the order two weeks ago and all that they can tell me is that they will be there by 4???? I guess I better not let my admin leave early or she will miss her flowers. So many companies like this develop a huge stake in the market due to name recognition. I have learned my lesson. Please use a small company or a large company that actually cares about its customers. read more

I went to place an order today through carithers flowers. I spoke to 3 different people due to me not having all the information I needed to place the order. I told all 3 people that the order I was placing was for delivery tomorrow and needed to be there by noon. first 2 people I spoke to said that was no problem and they'd be sure to get it over there by then. However the 3rd person I spoke to said that they would have to charge another 10.00 for delivery for a total delivery cost of 24.99!!! that is outrageous! I was informed that it was considered express delivery and they charge extra for that. When I mentioned that I was not told about this by the other 2 employees she said she was sorry but that was the cost and it would have to be paid or they would not complete the order. Unfortunately I didn't have a choice but to pay for the extra due to a last minute order on my part. I however did ask if I would have placed the order a week in advance if the delivery would still be as high and was told yes. They guarantee their delivery by 1pm but anything prior is an extra charge. read more
