The owner is very nice when you speak with him and I truly think he tried, but I honestly don't think he knows how to make a flower arrangement. I ordered a bright centerpiece which he called the next day and asked if I would like to continue because he doesn't think it's right for the occasion, I thank him for being considerate and went with something else. I asked him to switch to the dreams from the heart arrangement and he said yes. He did informed me that he does not have any white lilies in the picture but would sub it for something else. Here is the picture of what I saw and what I picked up. I asked him if he could try to fill it in more and he said "each flower will be an additional $5". This arrangement is already $110, so I didn't want to spend more money on what looks meh. So I said no thanks and went on my way. Again, I do think he tried but he clearly isn't a florist. I'm a bit confused how this place got such high ratings. Maybe it was recently sold to the current owner. Anyway, it's a one and done for me. Botany Bay Florists are the best! I always purchased my arrangements here for my wife because there is no other place that creates beautiful arrangements for a great price! Take it from the person that has no clue about flowers, but knows his wife loves them: You can choose from a wide selection on their site, but usually I come in (walk-in) and the staff there assists me in either choosing a bouquet or arrangement, or completely creates a beautiful and unique arrangement in a short amount of time. Today, I walked in looking for flowers for my wife and Sunny assisted me and created a beautiful arrangement for my wife. He definitely possesses a skill that I do not have. He was very knowledgeable in all types of flowers, how to care for them, and especially, how to arrange all different types to create a unique gift. Sunny asked the right questions about my wife's preferences to certain flowers and he worked his magic to create something truly special. My wife was so happy to see all the different types of flowers that worked so well together. Lorenzo is also super helpful as he has helped assist me in the past to find the perfect arrangement for my wife. Trust me when I say, it's completely different to get flowers at the local florist than to purchase the "cut and paste" arrangement from other places. I'm sure Sunny and team will arrange your flowers to look custom and unique, if you give them a call. I've put a lot of my friends onto Botany Bay because I told them, why pay the same amount of money (sometimes the price is even better at Botany Bay) for a "cut and paste" arrangement from Costco or somewhere online, when you can get a personalized and WAY BETTER looking arrangement AND that delivers to your door too! I asked my concierge to find someone to put together an arrangement of 31 ranunculus and died flowers as needed. I'm pretty sure they accidentally told this florist my limit, so it somehow came to almost exactly $500 ($484 with shipping). That was pretty fucking high considering I've gotten more for $80 and $150 before. Whatever, I expected them to be BEAUTIFUL. They came and looked so pathetic, the recipient still liked them but was sad that even after a week all of them did not bloom and they were dangling and dying... This florist refused to refund or replacement band began refusing calls from the concierge. I get that this is a small business, but ripping people off is unacceptable regardless of the times. You'll see a pattern of similar behavior highlighted in other reviews. Don't give them business, as their business does deserve to die, like the dead flowers they provide. read more

I called Botany on Sunday afternoon to deliver flowers to my 12 year old niece that was in Scottish Rite Hospital, Atlanta. I did not know what to send and left the arrangement up to the person I was talking to. Within a couple of hours I received a text with a pic of my niece holding a lovely bouquet. "The bouquet is beautiful and made her day", quote from her mom. Botany did an excellent job of helping me when I was not sure what to do. They were quick to respond and produced an excellent bouquet. I highly recommend this florist. Not going to post the pic as all security is a concern these days. read more

First, let me just say that I probably have the sweetest boyfriend on the face of the planet. If the 3 pictures I posted, aren't evidence to that, I don't really know what is. This being said, every arrangement he's had delivered to my office has been more beautiful than the last and this most recent time, Botany Bay Florist was kind enough to leave their business card along with the handwritten note from him. The arrangements have all been gorgeous bouquets of so many different kinds of roses and lilies and who knows what else, all artfully arranged and hand delivered to my door. Not to mention that they've all lasted much longer than the normal boquet - about a week or so for each one, even when I neglected to cut stems and change the water daily like the instructions card recommended. What more could a girl ask for, really? I don't care what anyone says, flowers will win my heart every time. Any girl who tells you different is just bitter and hasn't had a bouquet in too long. The gentleman who answered the phone was helpful, listened to my needs, and delivered arrangements that fit the bill. I love good customer service. It can make even the most unfortunate situations a lot better. I stopped in at Botany Bay one afternoon because I needed some flowers in very short order (like 3 hours). My request was pretty specific, but I was hoping for a miracle. Luckily, Botany Bay was up to the challenge. After talking with one employee and initially being told that they had just sold out of the particular flower that I was looking for, I walked out - preparing to resume my quest elsewhere. But before I could pull out of the parking lot, the owner(?) chased me down and offered to disassemble an existing an arrangement to help me with what I was looking for. I walked back inside with the gentleman and he took me to their cooler to look at what they had to see if it would work. After going over exactly what I wanted, choosing a vase, and asking how much I was looking to spend, he and one of the other employees said they would put together and arrangement and would have it ready for me by the time I came back after work. And that's exactly what they did. The arrangement that they helped me create was exactly what I was looking for. A joke. Ordered tropical flowers from Teleflora for Mothers Day...Botany sent something I could pick out of my Atlanta garden. Called florist - he blamed Teleflora and said never order from them and he could help me after Mothers Day. If that's the case then why do you proclaim to fulfill Teleflora order? Waste of money - sent arrangement back with delivery driver. Sent Teleflora a message to refund money. I understand not wanting a middle man, but in the hour of need, rather than sending something completely useless why not own that you can't deliver what was ordered and let another florist take it? Horribly flippant customer service. Don't need a marketing degree - just some courtesy/common sense. WOW! In less than 10 hours my GREAT REVIEW needed adjustment to a ONE STAR!!! After spending $60 on flowers and supplies for a FUNERAL arrangement, the morning I was heading out I noticed all of the hydrangeas had completely wilted. Although I was only calling to see whether the male owner John who serviced me day before would be gracious to offer any kind of complimentary items for the issue he IMMEDIATELY took DEFENSE and said "I told you to cut them and put them in water right away, I stand behind my product blah blah blah" talk about HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I have WORKED in flower shops before and FOLLOWED the care instructions to the T. When my mother heard she demanded we drive back to the store and then the female owner was going to charge us DOUBLE what we paid to get some replacement stems (until JOHN told her he charged me less for them, she Loudly huffed about that in front of us) and reiterated that "hydrangeas don't do well in oasis (foam setting) (thanks for letting me know THAT John...) and "if you just keep CUTTING them every thirty minutes and they'll POP right back UP!" (only ONE of FOUR stems BARELY "Popped back up" during the car ride... HELLO- I told you we were ON OUR WAY TO A Funeral, if we CUT them 4 times they wouldn't even FIT back into the arrangement and look right!!! ALL we needed was $10 worth of new flower stems to fix the arrangement, but I guess sometimes an old couple's PRIDE is worth more than a valuable customer. I ordered flowers from a local florist in Columbia, SC for my daughter in Atlanta. When she got the flowers, she sent me a picture to show me what they looked like. The flowers she received looked nothing like the photo on the website I chose. I called Botany Bay and spoke to Amy who was rude and uncaring. The arrangement I ordered was soft pink roses, white roses and white mums. Amy told me she didn't carry pink roses so she substituted for hot pink and other dissimilar flowers. Went to buy a wreath for my parents grave at Arlington Cemetery and they wanted $44.00 for a 24 inch wreath. I quickly called Pike's Nursery and they had the same thing for $12.50 each. I think with price gouging like their doing - they soon will only be a memory to Sandy Springs.... I've used Botany Bay 3 times to deliver flowers to my wife. I just used them today and had a good experience. Each time I've called to place an order, the same woman answers.. I cannot recall her name. She is always responsive and quick, and always able to get the flowers that I want at a reasonable price. I think they might be slightly on the pricey side, but if you're using them to deliver, it is well worth it. My mother was a florist and my sister is now a florist so I've grown up around flowers my whole life. I called Botany Bay and asked them if they could do a last minute arrangement for delivery for my mother. The man on the phone was extremely nice and helpful. The bouquet they put together was absolutely gorgeous and my mother received her flowers within a couple of hours. This florist did a lovely job creating a special bereavement wreath for a beloved friend. However, two other charges totaling $55 of extra charges were added to my $125 purchase. When I found The other charges on my credit card bill I called the owner. He was extremely polite and immediately removed The charges. However, he could offer me no explanation of what the charges were for or how they got added to my credit card account. So glad I take the time to justify my credit card statements. read more

I would not recommend this florist to anyone. I spoke with Sonny on today 10/27/16 concerning a listing Botany Florist had on Craiglist. I believed Sonny to have racially profiled my voice tones and by doing this in a subtle ways tried discourage the selling of the listed items. I explained to Sonny that I was interested in his listing and requested that he give me a total figure for the entire forty vases that he had for sale. If the asking price were to both our satisfaction I would pick the item up on Saturday. He danced around the question and then requested that I pay the amount in cash. I know as florists open to the public people do have the option of cash or credit card. He stated he preferred I bring him cash. He then stated for me not to waste his time. I politely explained to him I would not have inquired if I were not serious about the purchase. Then he went on to insult me by asking if I had someone who would climb six feet up in the store to remove the items for sale. I explained we did not mind climbing up your ladder however if someone fell he would be liable. He continued to dance around the purchasing of the item by stating when would you pick them up. Once again his repetitive remarks in conversation caused me to believe he did not want to sale me the items he had listed. The conversation escalated due to him dancing around with the sale of the items. I told him I found him to be rude. His remarks well I'm just not going to sell you the item. I texted him and stated I will be posting this conversation as a review. I will also be following up with the federal trade commissioner because I feel I have been racially profiled and discriminated against by this florist. read more

I am a long time customer of Botany Bay Florist and up until today I have had nothing but exceptional service from your company. I finding it extremely appalling the level of customer no-service that I received from Michael. I recently married and my wife started a new position with the CDC and today was her first day in the office. I arranged for flowers to be delivered to her desk at her new office. I knew that there could be some confusion so I arranged with a co-worker to use her number as a contact. The co-worker called the visitor center where the flowers are to be dropped off and left messaged about the flowers going to be delivered. To my dismay I get a text from the co-worker that the flowers were returned because the driver was told that my wife no longer worked there because they called her old boss from her previous position. When I called the florist shop Micheal answered the call and when I tried to explain the problem his reply was I don't know what you are talking about my driver is not even back yet. Again I tried to explain and his response was well I don't know what you want me to do. "I gave him all the information you gave me so I don't see what the problem is" I responded so you are not taking any owner ship is this issues? No, we did what you asked, I pointed out that the flowers were not delivered his reply well I don't know what you want me to do, I haven't even see the driver yet. Again I tried to explain that this was my wife's first day in a new position and somehow the driver called her old office (which I did not give them the number to the old office) Michael became frustrated and defensive. I asked him listen as I was trying to explain again. He continued to interrupt, I ask if he would just let me finish a sentence and he said no and the phone went dead. I could not believe that he hung up on me. I get in my vehicle and go to the florist and ask for the owner and was told by Michael that he was the owner. I told him that I have never received such poor customer service from any business. He continued to say that he couldn't understand what the problem was that he had done everything that I'd asked of him. I responded did that include hanging up on me? He said he did not hang up on me he only laced me on hold to talk to his driver and besides I was yelling at him. I explained that that was a matter of impossibility as I have a bad sinus infection and the congestion won't allow me to speak much above a whisper. I ask that Michael refund my money and remove my account information from their system, he responded already done except for the cost of delivery. Delivery charge for flowers that were not delivered? I work for a local business that is a national headquarters and our company uses Botany bay often. I give you my word that I will make a concerted effort to convince them to never use Botany bay again. read more
