Managers customer service can be lackluster, half the time, I think a person working with customers should be pleasant/professional and her EVERY emotion shows on her face. Which is not great for face to face service. If she's having a bad day the whole store feels it. Throws the energy off. This was a great little shop. They have a lot of used dog items that looked in good condition like dog beds, collars and leashes. It's a small store but they seem to have quite a bit of inventory. Their prices were on point and affordable. They didn't have what I was looking for but the store was pretty full with items for sale. The ladies that were working were friendly. read more

This is a small thrift store, but that makes it easier to navigate and does not feel as overwhelming to search through. Their prices are on the lower side of thrift stores (Goodwill being baseline pricing) and they do have decent selection of items. The store has new manager and has been re-organized to be easier to search through items. It's also good to know that profits do go directly to help shelter dogs, and not for overhead or CEO salary of large organizations. Every 1st Sat. they have 50% sale on almost all items. UPDATED 3/8/2026 These ladies are working hard! The store is so much more organized. I love it! They did raise the clothing prices a bit, but they're still decent. Some prices do confuse me, like a Target brand item might be on a black hanger whereas a higher end clothing item will be on clear. But, yes, they still have the weird hanger pricing system. I don't understand why. It's inconvenient while shopping, taking up a lot of room in my basket. Plus they insist on removing the hangers themselves which only makes checkout take that much longer, which is frustrating on First Saturdays and the line is already long. I'm a much more organized shopper than most. In stores without this hanger policy, I take the hangers off the clothes and take them to the counter. Then I organize my haul by price so it's easier/faster to ring up. read more

Came here on a whim because I passed by and was intrigued by their large book selection. They have plenty of other items here but I spent practically all my time looking at the books. This is my favorite thrift store in Ventura. I found a pair of grey Ralph Lauren sweats for my male friend who was with me, and other high quality golf shirts for him. I also found some facial cleanser in the beauty section for a wonderful price, all totaling around $20. I love how the proceeds go to the dogs. read more

Great store. Prices are very reasonable. Even better? The money goes to caring for dogs at the C.A.R.L dog rescue in Santa Paula (just outside of Ventura). They really do a great job at C.A.R.L. so we try to support them when we can. You can donate here as well during business hours. Clothes, pet items, dishes, jewelry and more. To our surprise, there are quite a few thrift stores on main street alone. So before we came here, we already visited others. Even though I don't have much to say, I felt compelled to write a review on this one simply because I was impressed by its organization. Each section was stocked just right- womens, mens, books, pets, bags. It was well stocked but not over stocked. Besides the usual stuff, I liked their little beauty productions section(new). Somehow, the store didn't carry that same thrift odor. All of these points really set this place apart. I can't comment on service, because we didn't interact with anyone during our visit. I really do not like to give bad reviews of places, but felt it very necessary to in this case. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The guy that works or volunteers there seems to be very angry and is very rude to customers. I was shocked actually. He's the young guy with dark hair and a pony tail. He was especially rude to this one lady who couldn't see a sticker price on a plate she wanted. He told her that the price is on the plate, and that if she couldn't see it she shouldn't be driving! I helped her out, put my reading glasses on, and told her what the price was. The young guy was just plain rude and rather than helping her and telling her the price he kept telling her it is right there on the plate. She didn't buy the plate and left and I do not blame her. I would have left too. She was probably embarrassed. If you asked this guy a question about a price he would cop an attitude. I will NEVER return to this thrift shop and my husband and I thrift often, but I refuse to deal with jerks like this guy. If I were his manager he would be apologizing to the customers he was rude to! He has absolutely no customer service skills and shouldn't be in this position volunteering or not! If you want people to shop and buy a lot in a store then you need to greet customers, be friendly, and make them feel welcome so they want to purchase items. If you're miserable and just plain nasty to people they are not going to return there! Also, buddy, people shop at thrift stores to find deals! If you do not like people to ask questions about prices or if you don't like that people are trying to look for discounts and become angry because of it, you are in the wrong business! I think you have the worst attitude on the planet and because we want to avoid any interaction with you we will not be returning to the store you're at! Go get an education in compassion! read more

Great thrift store with so many amazing finds! I've found great bargains and the employees are all super helpful, often helping to locate something you may not initially see. So many clothes and purse choices, some seem brand new! The store is well managed and organized and they receive good quality donations. The absolute plus of this store is all funds go to the rescue they work with. Win-Win! read more
