Yelp has Throwback Junction as Closed! It is not! As of June, 28, 2025 when I stopped by (2 days ago) it was still opened! My husband is into media, so we popped inside Throwback to check out their merchandise. The place is big, goes back, nicely decorated, clean, well stocked. It surely has character! Customer service was just OK, not the most welcoming, chatty guy, but decent. Unfortunately, their prices are high here, if you're looking for a deal, this place won't offer that. Their media was very pricey, pretty dirty (despite the store being clean, some of their media could have been dusted), with their shocking stickers on, alongside thrift store ones, with a way lower price. So they might flip things? Anyway, it might be too hipster-ish, too bad that trend is spreading to downtown Ventura as well! read more

We may have poked in here previously, but it hadn't made a huge impression on me. On New Year's Day we did a deeper dive and this time it stuck in my mind more. I'll be adding this to a venue-to-visit list when on lower Main Street near the Mission. While this is a thrift store with gently pre-owned goods, it's really more like a vintage boutique. The way it's laid out and merchandised goes very well with the rustic vibe of old brick walls in a historic building space. Many thrift stores can be on the junky side. Throwback Junction is not that at all. I scored a set of handmade woven Christmas tree placemats with matching apron. They were on half price sale. This store was excellent. We popped into for a little wandering around and it was more than nice. The items they carried were excellent. A bit of vintage, a bit of western and a while lot treasures. There were tons of cowboy hats and cowboy boots. The whole vibe was a pretty cool hipster swag. Jewelry, bags, accessories all were neat. Great selection of gifts. read more

I love this store. It is well-curated and has a relaxed vibe. All of the displays are gorgeous and the staff seem to care about the customer experience. Thrift shopping with the feel of a boutique retail shop. I found two really cool dresses and they were priced well. My fella bought some vinyl albums and a super cool dress shirt. And socks! AHHHH. This place is AMAZING. love the selection and I love the (local?) artisan goods they sell too. Love supporting small businesses, they sell soaps and stickers and cards as well as thrifted things. The selection is truly awesome and radical and the entire vibe of the store is amazing. TIP! bring your own bag. The median price for each item I bought was around ~ $13/$14. Little pricier than goodwill but A LOT MORE WORRH IT. Now that I've been coming here more and getting a feel for what they sell, I've been having better luck with selling some of my items here. I have also come across a few vintage handbags that I have accumulated with my trade, that I received selling. However, they are a little more picker then say your buffalo or crossroads but that's because they have sort of a "theme" at this place. They buy in and sell fashion from the 70s, 80s or 90s with a mixture of other eras in between. They also have great prices here, so coming to shop for second hand is priced in anyone's budget. read more

I have been here a few times and always find a lot of treasures! It's a funky, hip store with eclectic and current styles as well as vintage. Prices are great, it's like taking all the work out of the thrifting and putting the cool stuff in front of you. Store has a cool vibe! They buy items outright for store credit or cash, check buying hours and styles requested in advance of coming in. There's a reward program which is always a bonus for me! The vibe and decor of this place is really cool! My first time at this store I had a great experience. The woman working was super helpful and sweet. Her customer service and their items were the reason I wanted to come back. After my purchase she mentioned to me that they buy/trade clothes. During my second visit I was excited to see their new merch. I brought five items to trade/sell during this visit. A different woman was working this night and she explained to me that she'd go through my stuff to see what I had. Unfortunately what I had wasn't what they were looking for which I completely understood as they were looking for "spring" styles (even though the aesthetics of the my clothes fit their store/style and spring) What was upsetting was her response which was that they didn't like to carry F21 like other thrift stores as they were trying to be different. Yet ironically as I looked through their new arrivals rack there was a F21 pair of jeans, and the more I looked around the other racks there was F21 merchandise throughout their stores. As mentioned before my first experience here was great and would recommend finding cute finds here but I would definitely not recommend trying to sell/trade clothes. read more

First off, I normally don't review businesses on Yelp, but this one deserves a special shout out. My friend took me to this store that recently opened. Throwback Junction buys, sells, and trades new and recycled fashion - pretty cool! My wife and I were both able to easily find things we liked and bought them at a great price. I noticed a lot of name brands in the shop that were actually affordable and half the price of what I'm use to spending. I also loved the ambiance and vintage feel throughout the spacious store. Pictures are attached so you can see the vibe of the store. The owner (Randy) was very friendly as well and I enjoyed hearing him chat about his passion and future plans for Throwback Junction. I will definitely be back when I'm in San Fernando next. I rate it 5 stars based on affordability, ambiance, and friendliness of the owner/staff. read more

When they first open, they would make you come in thinking you be able to selll your items but instead they tell you they aren't buying due to low sales. Waste of mY gas. Not a fan I actually took clothes oppose to throwing it away I went at the time they said they accept clothes .....45 MIN LATER (LATE) waste of time this older lady says nothing looks at the clothes under 15 sec says no nothing clothes was in that style that they have and new with tags but it's clearly wasn't an expensive brand because that's all she looked at the brand if it was pricey so she can obviously offer me $3 -$5 bucks and sale it for a few bucks less then in store I get it you don't have to buy the everybody's clothes but be considerate and be on time, polite could of at least took it to another room pretended like you actually looked at it and brought it out and then say no nothing interesting thank you for your time. Loved the decor and the selection of curated clothes! Not your average thrift store with random clothes. Everything here was thought of for a hip or vintage vibe. A great place to look for Coachella outfits. That being said it is a bit pricey but ultimately your clothing and accessories are worth the money. :) The location is a great mix of traditional vs new business. Traditional as in if you need a quinceañera dress you can find it on this street but also you can find some bomb hipster shit. Throwback Junction is the hipster side. I yelped this place on a whim and was not disappointed! It is a bit on the higher end pricing. I didn't find any piece of clothing that was less than $8.99. However, the quality of the clothing and items they sell are fantastic. This is a great place to find unique and vintage items from buttons to shoes to jewelry to denim.
