SuperThrift is under Rescue Mission Alliance nonprofit. The store itself is HUGE for my shopping taste. It's a little overwhelming for me to find clothing items. I have been lucky finding some great deals on shoes-- Like new Danskos and Toms. I feel like retail businesses end up donating here, I do tend to see Toms shoes come through a lot. The clothing prices can range from average baseline prices similar (or lower) to Goodwill but some items may have unusually high prices. It's hard to gauge. I did see many clothing items that were stained or looked very worn and were still priced semi higher than expected. HOWEVER, what I want to focus on is the main nonprofit-- Rescue Mission Alliance. They run programs for women and men who are needing shelter due to domestic violence, trafficking, or difficult unhoused situations. People who commit to their programs are allowed to shop at this store for free, so donations do in effect go directly to the people in their shelter programs. So I want to commend the store and nonprofit for their directly giving back donations to their participants via vouchers. I also recommend that this is a great local nonprofit to give your donations to (more purposeful than dropping off at Goodwills) read more

This place used to be really one of my favorite thrift stores ever to go into something happen where they now have increased their pricing by I'd say 5 to 10 times as much as he used to be. As an example you cannot find a regular Tshirt for less than seven dollars unless it's got holes in it and stained. They used to be very affordable and a good selection. I don't know what's happened but maybe the economy has made them having to pay higher rent so therefore they're charging people tons more I will tell you 100%. I'm never coming back, which is sad because I used to come here a lot. read more

Today, on May 18, 2026, I was looking through the shoes and found a cockroach running around. Have to be very careful when shopping here; you can bring cockroaches home or even into your car, since clothes are transported from your car to your house. read more

This place is huge and it's organized for the most part but what is really frustrating is their prices are insanely overpriced. They were selling half burned candles for $4 and candles without wicks for $3. Then there were the cheap bath sets you can get at TJ Maxx and Marshall's for $13. The big one was the bikes priced at $300 and $400 for USED bikes. These aren't high end used road bikes, these are run of the mill bikes sold at places like Big 5 for the same price. The cherry on top for me was the 18 or 19 year old girl walking up to random strangers asking for a dollar so she could buy the item she was holding in her hand. Everyone knows she isn't panhandling to buy the thrifted item, she is going to run off to buy alcohol or drugs. Who comes to a thrift store without at least thinking "hey, I should probably have money before making a decision to shop"?! read more

I can't believe this was my first time here! Wow, if you're just here to look around, give yourself at least an hour. This large and in charge store is so fun to navigate - men's and women's are divided into two parts of the store, but the shoes are altogether and you'll need to go through all the aisles to potentially find what you need. I found some great items and the employees are so wonderful and friendly. I can't wait to be back. Prices are decent and they do put more valuable items behind the counter and hung up high around the store. read more

The guy who checked me out was extremely rude and wouldn't sell me a $6 hoodie because he said it was priced wrong (it wasn't even a good brand, lol) I've never had this experience here. Usually everyone's really sweet. I asked to talk to his manager and he refused. Avoid the guy with hearing aids he's a dick and will mock you. This is the saddest thrift store in Oxnard! The customer service is mediocre to be honest the cashiers are always chit chatting and really when I walked in today they just looked at me with an awful look so I put my headphones in but honestly that's not the biggest problem here it's the mess I know it's a day after Christmas but there is another thrift store a block down that is absolutely immaculate clean and organized I couldn't believe my eyes truthfully idk who manages this place but please get a grip it's absolutely ridiculous this isn't something new I shop this store at least once a week you will find this mess here any day of the week the amount of times I have tripped over hangers clothes is incredible ridiculous it's an absolute hazard in this place I really don't know why this place has become such a disaster it's really a shame because it has a lot of potential it's HUGE inside I'm disappointed because I live about 5 minutes but I can't stand it I find myself hanging stuff back up and picking stuff up off the floor more than I actually shop please do better and please if you are shopping here please be careful of the tripping hazards ( I also added this to google reviews but yelp lets me add all my photos ) read more

Pretty awesome thrift store if you're looking for gently loved clothing. Well stocked and really well organized. They have a discount day on Thursday mornings. Huge parking lot right outside. In the back area on the outside, they have a donation spot. Ido wish they had more carts for you to use in store. Seriously, there are only like 2. If you find heavy things or glass ware is such a pain in the ass to carry them around the store. Still no changing rooms but there are mirrors. Bathrooms available but you have to ask for the keys up in the front with the cashier and leave your keys in place of the bathroom ones. Their bric-a-brac is pretty well priced. I usually get my floral arrangement vases here for about two bucks. Some of the cashiers can be short and are always in a rush. But they'll wrap your glassware and place them in a box if you ask them ;) Cons: they need more carts read more

Another thrift store that wants to selectively price up their low quality garbage mall brand inventory with random brands they think are more valuable. No I won't pay $20 for a pair of used Puma sweatpants, a stained shirt just because it says "Tommy Bahama" or an Amazon Chinese off-brand shirt just because it's new with tags. And by the way Columbia and North Face is not Gucci so why are you pricing it like it is? Across the board low quality inventory, organized like a junk drawer, slow slow slow checkout. Budget at least 30-45 minutes for waiting in line at the end in this disaster of a store. read more

You can find deals. You can find cool items. Carts are scarce and some items are over priced. But if you're shopping, and nears closing time (talking up to 20 minutes before closing) they state the store is closing in five minutes. (?!?) Closing time, and breaking down the register time should be two different and separate entities. Alfonso or Armondo - whatever his name is - the door man, runs around the store shouting RUDELY to customers: you NEED to get in line. Versus a more polite way of saying things. He literally does this weekly and being that is the case I believe he is being encouraged to speak to people this way. Tonight he told me that I couldn't grab one item because "you should have been shopping all this time instead of being on your phone". In what world is this type of verbal communication okay to spew onto a customer? What right does an employee have to say this? I told the girl at the register someone needed to tell him he needs to watch how he talks to people, she stood there like a statue. Didn't say a word to acknowledge what I said. Just because it's a thrift store does not mean that the level of professionalism should drop. At the end of the day, this is for charity right? Someone really needs to get a grip on some of these employees because they are running this store how THEY want to, and that is a reflection back onto the business itself. I think the store has changed hugely since the pandemic. The prices are now astronomical. If you want to come here for reselling you'll need to go through every rack to find a few things - it's huge, usually very crowded, and I find it hard to go through everything (women clothing). If you are going for yourself - just watch the prices as I can often find things online for same price (and it's new). For me I thrift for a variety of reasons - to resell, for my own closet, and for gifts. And to help the environment. However, since I'm taking a chance that the item won't fit I'm not willing to pay basically a discount (not a thrift) price for it. Here that is anything at all that is any sort of name brand. Especially shoes and athletic leggings. I find the service to be so so - some nice folks but oftentimes kind of indifferent and I have, unfortunately, had some very rude staff members. There are NEVER any carts so you end up with your hands full all the time. Not well resourced. I think, at some point, things are pretty organized and then people come and it's just an utter mess. Given all that - I occasionally stop in (maybe 3x per year) but often skip - and I shop at all the thrifts in Ventura County and down into LA County. I wish I could recommend this one - appreciate the mission. But as far as value and environment - there is so much better for you to enjoy thrifting at. read more

The person left the antitheft tag on my leggings. I am leaving for my home this morning at 3 AM I live 4 hrs away. How am I supposed to get the tag off without ruining the leggings? I absolutely love coming here! The best selection of shoes and purses and for a reseller ...it's the best place to come to! I always end up finding items to keep for myself as well. I did notice that purse prices have seemed to increase quite a bit...I've always been able to clean up in purses at 1.99 - 3.99 a pop (on lower end bags) this time it seemed to start at about 5.99-6.99. Super Thrift is a great store if you're looking to buy something cheap, cute and gently used. Everything is organized clearly with bright neon signs for women, stuff and hombres lol On a Saturday afternoon, the store was bustling and busy. I found a summer dress, a nice top and 2 pairs of spring shoes for about $14 total. There was a long ass line just to pay but it does go by quick since 3 registers were open. Only reason I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is because my dad bought a camera from here once and it was completely broken camera which he believed would have been a working camera when he added in the batteries. Super thrift wouldn't do any returns or store credit for it at all which sucks because why would we want to buy something that doesn't work? Oh well, they do send in coupons in the fat Valupak envelope in the mail so I saved $3 on my $15+ purchase (which made my summer dress free lol). And, they do accept credit cards with no credit card fee :) read more

I like coming to Super Thrift when I'm looking for cheap dresses or women's shoes or cool stuff for photography props. Good selection of kids toys, bedding, towels, small kitchen appliances, old personal electronics, frames/art, women's clothing, and home stuff. They have a bathroom!! Not for trying on clothes, but not all thrift stores have a place you can pee - I love that this one does! On the other hand, this one does NOT have a fitting room so if you want to try on clothes you have to do it over the clothes you're wearing (plan/dress accordingly) and they do have a mirror in the women's clothing section, at the end of the tall dress rack. Staff is courteous and professional. Store is clean enough. Prices are cheap and there's often an ice cream vendor stationed out front (yum!) read more

If you got a lot of time to kill and some energy to sift through a huge selection of used glamor get ups and trinkets then this is the place for you to go to. If you aren't already at Super Thrift droppin dem dollaz (HOLLA) then here's something else to entice you- The proceeds towards the Ventura County rescue mission which helps facilitate food banks, recovery programs and additional resources to help those in need get back on their feet. As far as offerings, this place has literally everything: all sorts of apparel ( mens, women, children), shoes, furniture, videotapes, records, some small office furniture, toys, housewares, bric a brac, seasonal decorations, sporting equipment, electronics, books and more. My favorite part of this store was the housewares section. In addition to this selection being MASSIVE, it was amazingly organized ( just like pretty much every other section in the store) and for the most part, the items were really well priced. I found pricing in the store to be excellent. Being that I am a VHS enthusiast, the best deals that I found where in the VHS section ( four for a dollar. What is up bargains!). The clothing is priced accordingly and it's uncommon to see items marked down. While there did not seem to be any consistency to the pricing it was all very low in all the sections. If you are looking for even lower prices than what's already being offered I would suggest digging through the garbage or simply heading to Super Thrift's nearby bargain center ( which is excellent) As far as the customer service... Meh. Everyone who worked here seemed pretty irritated to be working there are dealing with the customers. Don't go in a rush either. The line was long the entire time I was there and it seemed to be pretty slow moving. I really love this thrift store and have been a loyal customer for years. All the other reviewers are correct, you will find GREAT deals and hidden treasure at this thrift store. However, the customer service today was horrific and the girls at the register were extremely rude. I get it... I know this is not a fancy department store and you can't expect stellar service. But is basic courtesy and politeness too much to ask? These girls look like they hate their jobs. They roll their eyes and respond with attitude when customers ask basic questions. They turn and start a conversation with their co-workers while they ring up a customer standing right in front of them. I don't think this girl even made eye contact with me. She literally pretended I wasn't there. I'm sure working at a thrift store was not your first choice. I know the place is packed with people and it has to be stressful day in and day out. But it wouldn't kill you to be polite to the people who are the reason you have a job. read more

Best to bring your own shopping cart on wheels! They provide bags, and it can get heavy. Items are organized well. They have a good selection of scrubs too. I have found high end clothes here as well as nice household items. They have a bathroom here, but no dressing rooms and only one mirror. They are not open on Sundays. read more
