When we reviewed a few full galleries of weddings Tomas shot at our venue, we immediately fell in love with his elegant, timeless style. He has an incredible ability to blend traditional, editorial, photojournalistic, and moody styles in a way that captures all the key moments and emotions of the day. However, beyond beautiful photographs, having a genuine connection with our photographer was essential to us--and this is where Tomas truly stood out. From our first conversation, he was genuinely interested in getting to know us and gave us a clear sense of what it would be like to work with him. As a photography enthusiast, I had many technical and gear-related questions, which Tomas was happy to discuss. While the best equipment alone doesn't guarantee great results, knowing that Tomas was equipped with top-tier gear gave us extra peace of mind--especially since we planned on ordering large canvas prints, where ultra-high-resolution images are key. We were initially concerned that Tomas might be out of our budget based on his quote, but he went above and beyond, creating a custom package that included everything we wanted while staying within our budget. Our engagement shoot with Tomas was our first real test in front of the camera, and we were a bit nervous since posing isn't something we're used to. Tomas gave us just the right amount of guidance, helping us feel comfortable and confident. By the end, what started as an nerve-wracking experience became a genuinely fun and memorable one--we were actually a little sad when the session ended! Tomas even kept shooting until the very last moment, well after the location's security asked us to wrap up. When we received the photos, we were absolutely blown away by the results, and so were our friends and family--some even wondered if we'd secretly eloped! On our wedding day, Tomas and his second photographer, Brian, were amazing to work with. They made us feel like VIPs while capturing every important moment. Tomas's attention to detail was remarkable, whether it was waiting for the right light during family group shots or stepping in to guide other vendors. His assertive yet calm leadership made it feel like we had an extra coordinator helping us along the way. John Yao is the man! I've been following his work for almost 10 years (ew, did I just say that out…read moreloud?) and I knew I wanted to use him for my wedding photos even before I started dating my (now) husband. In fact, he was the first vendor we reached out right after we got engaged until we realized soon enough we should probably book the venue and date first ... We booked him for our engagement and wedding shoot and had a great experience! First of all, it's unhuman how he responds to emails within 5 minutes regardless of whether you email him at 2pm or 2am. It's true what everyone else says about him making you feel really comfortable at shoots. John's extremely professional which makes it extra funny when he'll drop in something super random like "give me a sexy pose" during a shoot. On our wedding day, he showed up early and led us and our bridal party through all photos - we didn't have to think about anything, just went with his flow. There was one hitch with the location I chose for our bridal party photos but John managed to find another great spot quickly on campus before we even had a chance to leave the first one. I also want to mention John had his first baby the week prior to our wedding. I figured he must at least be exhausted but he was on top of it throughout our whole wedding day (and not to mention even before, he was responding to our emails as he was getting ready to go to the hospital for the delivery of his first born??) Anyway, my point is John is committed and you can count on him! My husband and I are so happy with the way everything turned out (John delivered the photos early too!) and couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

Jeremy, by far, was the WORST part of my wedding experience. He is lazy, manipulative, rude, so so slow, and makes excuses for every little thing. He will also charge you extra left and right and will not deliver when he says he will. We recently JUST got the final pictures and videos, now almost a year after the wedding I know what he will do once he sees this review. He will make excuses just like he did every step of the way. But honestly, if I can stop one more bride from having a aggravating experience, I will be happy. Fast forward to the wedding day. I had texted him two days prior to the wedding to let him know that we would like him in our hotel room at 1:30pm so that he can take pictures of us getting ready. It was now almost 2pm, he was nowhere to be found, and I had my husband call him. He tells us that he's been sitting in the lobby and that we should've called him earlier. WHY would I need to call him when I told him two days prior to be there at 1:30pm with our hotel room number. I was busy getting ready, and I knew that was going to happen which is why I gave him instructions beforehand. He was obviously just late and instead of letting us know that he might be late or even apologize, he just brushed it off. He didn't even get any picture of my husband and the groomsmen getting ready. After the wedding it was time to take pictures with family and friends. Obviously we relied on him on where to stand for then pictures. Well it turns out ALL of those pictures have a bright circle from the sun. Most of the circles are on our faces. When we brought it up during the editing phase, he told us that it couldn't be removed and that that's just how it is. AND YOU COULDN'T TELL US US THIS WHILE WE WERE TAKING THE PICTURES?! He also chose a place that had guests and workers in the background of our photos. We thought he was editing them out, but he tells us after the fact that they can't be removed. Why didn't we take the pictures at a different location or angle? Mind you the entire time we were asking for the edits he was being defensive and telling us he disclosed all of this to us....well he didn't. We also didn't get any pictures with our wedding singer (even though we specifically hired him for the ceremony and reception) despite our request. It took us about 12 weeks to get the unedited pictures from the wedding.....which was a long time to wait. He shared like 5 pictures as "teasers" but it took him the full 12 weeks to upload the pictures into a file we can look at. NOT EVEN EDITED. So why did it take him that long just to upload? There were 4000+ pictures and he made it sound like we were getting ALL of the pictures as a favor. Well let me tell you that no one needs 4000+ pictures. Most of them were us with weird faces and some weird pictures that no one needed. Just an organized ~500 pictures would've been fine, but no. He uses the 4000+ pictures as an excuse that it took so long..... uploading 500 or 4000+ unedited pictures into a folder for us to view does not take that long. He then told us to pick our favorites to go into the Album, and those pictures would be edited. Well I don't even know what his idea of editing is because the final pictures still had graffiti and bird poop in the background. He told us those can't be edited out. OKAY SO WHY DID WE TAKE THE PICTURES THERE?! Also, every time he gave us a delivery date, it was not met. We always had to follow up and he would tell us "oh I sent it yesterday" .....well you didn't because neither of us got it. He always had something or someone to blame. When I pointed out his terrible customer service, he decided that he wasn't going to talk to me anymore. He sends a message to my husband saying he won't communicate with me anymore. EXCUSE ME I paid for the service. What kind of a business refuses to talk to his clients that paid him?! Because I was pointing out how frustrating it was to work with an arrogant, lying person? He is ridiculous. He was literally the worst part of the happiest day of our lives. If you are considering him, please for the life of me, don't. You will regret the choice. He told us that the wait is worth it for the pictures. Trust me, they are not. P.s. do you really want someone that says "I'm also happy to offer your husband a discount on his next wedding" to be your wedding photographer? Let's think about that one.
