Prior I took it to two other shops closer to home and had two mobile mechanics come to my home and give me estimates. Their prices to replace the oil cooler only ranged from $2,500 to $4,000 dollars. Chris replaced the oil cooler deleted the EGR and did a couple of other things for under $2,000. He checked my truck for other issues and found none.He is definitely honest. He told me that I needed a radiator flush and coolant replacement. He said that he would teach me how to do it myself to save money. Chris is my trucks mechanic for its life. They found that some of what Firestone had said was not accurate and overpriced, but more importantly they found structural damage from a previous accident that the owner of the car wasn't even aware of. Firestone had the car up in the air, I asked them if the rebuilt title repairs were done correctly and they never mentioned ANY of the damage. Edcar Tire pointed it out right away and it was VERY evident just by looking at it. They are polite, knowledgeable, and fair. If I lived in the area I would for sure make this my go to mechanic.

There was nothing wrong with my transmission. I simply wanted it serviced since my truck has 79k miles. I went in for an estimate and the shop wanted to replaced other parts . I was told failure to replace the suggested parts would for sure cause my transmission to fail. I was given the price and I went into shock! I knew I needed a second opinion. I arrived at this shop explained what I wanted and what I was told at the other shop. The owner then told me that I did not need anything other than an oil change! He told me to come back when I reached another 30k miles to service it again. I was given a very reasonable quote and they performed the oil change. I saved many hundreds of dollars.
