He then claimed he was "trying to help" by calling his son, who quoted me 100% more than the original agreed price. This experience felt dishonest and very unprofessional. According to him, the explosion had nothing to do with the repairs performed just one day earlier. What makes this even more heartbreaking is where and how it happened. The vehicle erupted into flames in front of our home, inside our gated community, surrounded by neighbors. My 18-year-old sister had just parked the car, and she and my 10-year-old sister were only steps away from it--barely two minutes after turning the engine off. We are beyond grateful that they survived, because this could have easily become a tragedy that claimed two young lives. Instead of showing concern or accepting any responsibility, the manager refused to even reimburse my sister for the $220 she paid in labor. She wasn't demanding the value of the vehicle or the cost of the parts. She simply asked for the labor she had already paid for after losing the very first car she had worked so hard to buy. No amount of money can replace a human life. Businesses make mistakes, but how they respond when something catastrophic happens says everything about their character. In our experience, there was no accountability, no compassion, and no willingness to help after an incident that could have ended in unimaginable loss. If you value your vehicle and, more importantly, the safety of yourself and your loved ones, I strongly encourage you to think carefully before trusting this establishment with your car. Our family's experience has been devastating, and we would never want another family to endure the fear, financial loss, and emotional trauma that we have experienced.
