From the very first consultation, Jim showed me he cared and more than that understood the severity of my situation. It was long hard fought process, and him and his team were there with me the whole way! Very professional yet relatable at the same time. I would recommend him to anyone in the Siouxland area. He literally changed our lives and I don't see any other way possible that I could've had a better outcome than with Carlin Law office! Very easy to get ahold of and very responsive as well! Great experience! He also got me over 200X what the insurance company was initially offering! 300X including his cut ;) Well worth it! read more

My experience with Carlin Law Office was very favorable. They were not only concerned with my case but also cared about the pain I was experiencing. Mr. Carlin suggested another provider, to try, in order to get some relief. I went to physical therapy, at that office, and had an excellent experience. There is no permanent fix for the pain but at least I now know how to get temporary relief. That is above and beyond what I expected from a law office. I would highly recommend them. read more

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University. He has been a trial lawyer in the state of Iowa for over 20 years and is an active member of the Iowa Association for Justice and the American Association of Justice. He serves as a founding board member for "The Giving Exchange" which is a non-profit corporation providing assistance to orphanages and vocational training in impoverished areas of the world. Jim has volunteered in an inner-city outreach to children in low-income neighborhoods, nursing home visitation, school board membership, football coaching and helped to found a men's group promoting marriage and fatherhood.

If the benefit is supposed to provide a 30-minute consultation, requiring a $5,000 retainer before providing that consultation is extremely disappointing and misleading. This place is getting referrals through CLC for a service that isn't actually being provided. Don't waste your time.

"The Iowa Civil Rights Commission" has gotten involved since speaking to him or shall I say being "YELLED AT" by Attorney Deck. Value?
