I was an exterminator for this Dentist Company charging them next to nothing for service for years…read more I decided to use their services one time and was looking for ONLY a consultation. I was very clear at the time of appointment. Nonetheless they put me in a chair took 2 X-rays and offered to put a couple drops of cement to adhere a bridge, I was there about 35 minutes and Debbie ambushed me with an almost $300 bill. I asked if I could see her the the next day so I could get my bearings on what just happened and at 9:01 the next day she contacted me and left a lengthy voice mail demanding payment. She was nasty and mean and I felt like she was a mob collector, terribly unprofessional. I see another review here stating the same. Doctor Rob however was very nice and friendly. Probably not a good idea to have Debbie at the front desk. Then she proceeded to call my boss and requested that I be removed for another exterminator. Real nasty lady as others have noted here.

I started treatment with Oakwood Dental on September 11 and was referred by them for a root canal, which I had completed on December 2. After the root canal, I was told to return to Oakwood to have a crown placed about a month later. My crown appointment was scheduled for January 3, but the office canceled it and told me they were still waiting for insurance authorization. I was rescheduled again for February 5 and that appointment was also canceled for the same reason. After waiting months believing my authorization was still pending, I later spoke directly with my insurance company and was told my crown had actually been approved on February 13. When my appointment was rescheduled again for March, Oakwood informed me they no longer accept my insurance and that I would have to pay full cash price to complete the crown. This left me in a very difficult position after months of delays and multiple canceled appointments. I am now forced to find a new dentist and restart the authorization process for a crown after already completing the root canal. I hope the office improves communication and insurance coordination so other patients do not experience the same situation.

Since I refused, I had to sign a waiver and make them take a camera shot of my mouth. I felt so uncomfortable. Finally, the hygienist came in and spent 7 mins. on my cleaning. The moment you walk in you are greeted by Rose who is there to make appointments, and help with anything you might need. To Tina the hygenist who does a fantastic job cleaning your teeth, to Dr. Corbett and Susan his assistant making you feel relaxed and in such confident hands. He is gentle and explains everything he is going to do. I can't say enough good things about them. The office is very welcoming and friendly. They offer sunglasses to protect their eyes from the lights, they have themed-rooms, TVs to keep their focus while getting cleaned. At the end of the cleaning, kids receive a balloon, toothbrush, toothpaste, and stickers. We've been going to Dr. Rod since we started going to this office. Dr. Rod is really the best. He's very patient with my kids, he helps them feel comfortable, remembers when my kids don't like a certain flavor of toothpaste, and explains to them the importance of good dental hygiene. My kids actually enjoy going here and seeing him. My kids and I highly recommend going with Dr. Rod and this office!
