    Went today to get a burger but they ignored us in the drive-thru speaker so we drove to the window and they ignored us there too so we had to come in. After ordering a drink they didn't even have any, almost all out of order.

    Whenever I review a fast food establishment I always explain this right from the get go, this is not getting the same 4 stars that a buffet gets, a 5 star steakhouse, or even a gourmet burger restaurant, it's being graded on the fast food scale which is the only fair way to grade it. I stopped at this Carl's Jr when passing through Baker with my east coast parents who have never been to a Carl's Jr (food options in Baker are a tad slim). This location was pretty busy when we arrived which gave my parents some time to maul over the menu before making a decision. I ended up ordering a 6 piece star nugget along with the California burger (which is basically just a double cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, whatever "classic sauce" is, and some buns. I was pretty excited to try the Carl's Jr chicken nuggets as I've actually never tried them, but guess what, they are just about as boring and unoriginal as Burger King's current nuggets and I definitely won't be eating them in the future. As for the California burger, it hit the spot and was a top notch classic Burger that tasted pretty darn good (although I do regret not getting the BBQ burger, that's the best). Overall, Carl's Jr is definitely one of the better fast food chains with the likes of McDonalds, Burger King, and Wendy's. My parents enjoyed the experience and even though I learned a lesson on not getting the chicken nuggets, I'll continue hitting up Carl's Jr in the future for some top notch fast food burgers.

    12/30/2022, Me and my friend driving back from Utah and Las Vegas to Los Angeles stopped along the way here to ordered something from a $25 gift card that I had purchased and given to my friend for Christmas. The manager named Alexander R. was apparently having credit card payment processing problems with a customer standing in front of us who was using his credit card. When our turn came next we ordered items that totaled $17.10 and handed Alexander our new unused $25 gift card. He slid the gift card on the cash register machine and the system said "processing payment " but didn't immediately register the payment; although, it didn't print out a receipt a minute later but Alexander kept hitting the red cancel button on the pay point machine and kept telling us that the payment didn't go through. We told stood for over 5 minutes with him constantly pushing on the red cancel button and on the green and yellow buttons. I don't know why he kept pushing on all those buttons, just acting dumb or maybe he was doing it deliberately so that he could eventually steal the money out of the register at the end of his shift for himself to keep. That's what I suspect he was doing to customers. Pocketing cash for himself at the end of each day he works. As Alexander totally ignored us and opened up another register to start to help the long line of other customers standing behind us another female employee who was working the drive thru window by herself came over to us to try to help us and she tried to look up the remaining balance on our gift card to see if the order went through but she came back over to us saying that the system wasn't allowing her to see the balance on the card. I think that maybe she is also in on the scam with Alexander R. and pocketing funds. So I flipped the card over and called the 866 number on the back of the card to get the balance which told me that the remaining balance was $7.90 therefore it did take the total order of $17.10 on the gift card. When we told Alexander R. that the payment did process on the gift card he then accused us of having previously used the card at another Carl's Jr. location and he refused to give us our order. The manager was rude to us right in front of other customers for accusing us of this act and refusing to give us our order or to refund us. I would have stood there and possibly called the police but my friend said that we needed to get back on the road to get back to Los Angeles before it gets dark. This manager Alexander R. was a complete jerk and very rude to us when he simply ignored us from the beginning and started helping other customers. He appeared to be a very hyper person and nervous type and was careless of the customer concerns, our concerns. Since he left the receipt on the counter in front of us and apparently he forgot to grab it himself, I grabbed the receipt and told him that I would complain to the corporate office about this. When I have called the Carl's Jr. Guest Services number at 1-877-799-7827 several times since this incident on 12/30/2022, the calls goes straight to a voice mail system to leave a message only. I left three or four messages at this number and even emailed Carl's Jr. on their website about this incident but they have not returned nor responded to any of my voicemails nor emails as of yet. Carl's Jr. is totally wrong in how they treat customers and their corporate customer service is basically non-existent since there are no guest services people answering calls. Alexander R. needs to be investigated by the corporate office for possible thief or embezzlement of funds, he also needs to be fired from the company. Carl's Jr. needs to refund me.

    Worst service ever. Stopped here on 12/29/2022 at 12:47pm for breakfast some women named RHEA took my order and I didn't have a problem, come back two days later ask for breakfast again and the manger yells at me saying they don't sell breakfasts after 10:30. I tell him I just got breakfast from here two days prior and he says I just checked the camera and it never happen. Then he asked me for a receipt and says ya I've worked here for ten years and have never sold breakfast after 10:30. So you guys tell me what this receipt says..... because this manager is a piece of shit. I've came here multiple times for breakfast well after 10:30 and all of a sudden he wants to yell At customer over food. Horrible service hope he gets fired. Corporate has been notified about his sad behavior, even more sad that's he's worked here for tens years

    Is it me? or is it that most Carl's Jr. locations are 5 Star worthy? Customer service 5 bright red/white shining stars all day...one of the workers even liked my watch. I had to add that in because it was part of this particular Carl's experience lol...nevertheless those beyond famous stars are BANGIN(aka Tastey )still pleasing vegans on the run,keep doing your thing Carl!!!

    on 1.21.2021 was my first time at this location. I haven't gone to this location yet until a couple days ago because I always see the sign for it but I never actually seen the restaurant. There is I believe a Burger king next to it so you don't actually see it from the street that well but if you go a little past the burger king you will see it there on the side. When we walked in we were greeted right away and helped. The man at the register was very polite and professional. Our card wasn't working the first few times trying to pay for our order but the cashier was patient and helpful until we finally got it to work. The food was ready right away. I got 4 chicken sandwiches, a famous star and a BLT chicken sandwich. The food was hot and fresh but the burger and the BLT chicken sandwich they seemed to be just thrown together. They were put together very sloppy. The fries were kind of soggy but over all it wasn't bad and ill definitely be back in the future.

    The large American Flag outside the restaurant needs to be replaced. I told cashier about it, she said OK. I'm sure this young lady has no idea what this flag means to veterans. It appears as flag ripped they tied the ends together??? On return trip if flag is not replaced I will go to other restaurants in Baker. Update: I did call Carl's corporate office I think I convinced phone center in India that American Flag should not be flying in this conditions. If anyone is in Baker please let me know if Flag has been replaced.

    If you're gonna be lit up off the side of a major highway and google says your open until 12 am.... change something. Turn the signs off instead of making people exit and circle around only to find you closed.

    We always make it a point to stop at The Mad Greek Cafe in Baker when we're driving to Vegas. It's…read morebecome a family tradition at this point! We grabbed two burgers with the zucchini fries, and they did not disappoint. I'm obsessed with their gyro burger -- so flavorful and perfectly seasoned. My husband loves the pastrami one and says it's one of the best he's had on the road. The zucchini fries are a great twist and we always end up fighting over the last few. The lady working the register was super friendly and great with us. The place wasn't packed at all during the weekday, so the ambience felt relaxed and comfortable. Bonus highlight: they have the cutest pet cats that my daughters absolutely love watching through the window. It's the easiest (and most entertaining) distraction to keep the kids happy while we wait for our food! If you're driving through Baker, do yourself a favor and stop here. Solid food, friendly service, and a fun little vibe. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!

This morning, we were on the road earlier than usual, so I called at 7:46 AM hoping to place an order for pickup at 8:00 AM when they opened. The employee who answered sounded annoyed and immediately told me I had to call back at 8:00 AM to place the order. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I understand policies and operating procedures. However, if staff are already in the building answering the phone, taking an order a few minutes early for pickup after opening seems like a simple way to provide good customer service and retain loyal customers. Instead, the interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming. In today's economy, customer service and repeat business matter. Because of the experience, I chose not to stop, didn't charge my Tesla there as planned, and took my business elsewhere. It's unfortunate because this was a place I regularly visited and recommended during my trips.
