I just got a Breakfast Burger and a Bacon, egg & cheese biscuit. The biscuit was OK, but the bottom was hard, suggesting it was reheated, with one slice of bacon, cut in half. The real surprise was the "Breakfast Burger". No Burger, no sesame-seed bun. Two slices of near-toasted sourdough, about the same amount of egg as the biscuit, and again ONE slice of bacon, cut in half. Not at ALL like the picture at the drive-thru. Not going there. We just moved offices and we are now just a few minutes from this Carl's Jr. I have been so excited to order their bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit until this morning. I ordered 4 BEC biscuits and 4 orders of hash browns for me and my coworkers. The reason I love their BEC biscuits is the fresh buttery biscuit supposedly baked fresh daily. The ones we got were not baked fresh and were at least a day old or more which really ruined it for me. The one saving grace was the hash browns were nice and crisp otherwise I'd gave them a 1 star review. Do better Carl's Jr!!! read more

Not to bad for a Denver location that is right off of I-70. Makes for a quick stop when you want something quick to grab. My food was fast, hot, and freshly prepared. The dining area was clean and the counter employee was somewhat friendly. The restroom doors are locked so you will need to be a paying customer to get a code. So havnt eaten here in years & now I remember why. In your best interest DO NOT order the fried zucchini unless you just like the breading. The actual zucchini is paper thin so you will only get primarily breading & the breading is icky as well so just do yourself a favor & get french fries. I ordered a Medium combo & received a small drink, altho I ordered the Blood Orange drink I am unsure if you get an actual medium sized drink if you order just a coke. Either way as is typical of all corporations they are out to screw us the consumer anyway they can by giving you tiny portions for a high dollar & you inevitably receive nothing for your dollar. We americans consistently get fecal matter for our money. I'd have been better off ordering the grocery items & making it myself. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, I ordered the single guacamole cheese burger that might as well have been a sloppy burger mess at best. There was a chunk of lettuce that fell out of the burger that somehow missed the knife during salad prep! The presentation alone would only be acceptable to the homeless on Broadway but I wouldnt even feel ok giving them the fecal matter I received. I can write the poor review bcuz i am a good cook & was taught the finer value of preparing food for others through restaurant work & my grandmother was a wiz in the kitchen. Therefore, I have the knowledge to know fecal matter food from good food. I will NEVER eat from Carl's Jr again. If you want expensive fecal matter by all means order from this DISGUSTING place. Man I'm so disappointed. I go to this Carl's jr 3 sometimes 4 times a week in the mornings and buy 2 breakfast burritos. Same every time.. this is the second time when I use my points, something is always wrong. I order a big country and a loaded. The loaded came with scrambled eggs and the pico digalo and nothing else...the big country had no sausage gravy at all. They've done that to me twice now. I tried to give benefit of doubt and said maybe just new employee.. but for the same thing to happen again, when I use points I think it's intentional. I've decided I'm just going to tell them to sell me something and throw it in the bag. I never get the correct order at this location so they might as well just give me whatever. It's always a surprise when I open my bag either way. For instance I just ordered a cheeseburger with bacon and classic sauce only. 4 stars for service, location, menu choices, food quality and customer service. Docked one star due to price and the soda being flat. Other than that it's Carls Jr. I definitely put it a step above other fast food restaurants in its category. Price is more than what you would pay at the Golden Arches but the quality surpasses it. Before this trip, I had never been to a Carl's Jr before in my whole life! The checkout process itself was painless and professional and I can't complain about the store's neatness or employee conduct at all. However, I was disappointed at the quality of the burgers they served for the high price I had to pay compared to other fast food joints. Thank you. Every once in a while I have a craving to try what will likely be bad fast food. Today such a inspiration came to me. I went to the Carl Jr's website and checked the menu. Oh, a 700 calorie "All-Natural" burger? (And the bun is 300 calories. Really.) Better check that out! I went through the drive-thru. Either my near screaming is unintelligible, their employee isn't really listening, or they need to repair/replace some equipment. I could barely understand her, and (spoiler alert) - my order was wrong. So it went both ways - she couldn't hear or understand me. I drive an econo-box where I'm at the same level as the drive-through speaker. Get to the window, get passed a drink where the lid isn't completely on so got to spill some soda on my jeans. Get a bag that is supposed to contain that one, special burger that will fill the hole inside of me for a few precious moments. As I'm driving away I realized I smell fries. I did not order fries. Go back, park. Check receipt - something low carb listed twice, fries, and the small diet coke I ordered. Waited a couple minutes, bag in hand, while the rest in line ordered. Manager was very helpful, took the bag of fast food I was given, chucked it! Hold on. Your team messed up. I should get that bag for free, then my original order. To quote Gob from Arrested Development - COME ON! :-) Overlooking that, he was apologetic and put my order in to the cook staff and figured out my refund. The place was clean. If you are going to eat Hardee's/Carl Jr's, I think this is probably not a bad place to do it. About that grass-fed burger Product... I got the 1/3lb, cooked to grey on some sort of conveyor system. Either not centered on the huge bun or not big enough in circumference, I had a 2x1 inch leftover bun once I opened the thing up to see what I was eating. Burger construction is very problematic. They half wrap it so you sort of have some handle, but ingredient distribution was poor (a whole slice of raw red onion in the semi center instead of chopped onion bits equally distributed) so I had to unwrap to correct. Iceberg, pickles and mayo in contact. Constructing a burger is like plate tectonics... I would say this Corporation needs to think a bit more about their burger construction. read more

I stopped in here quickly, just to use the bathroom. I have never eaten at a Carl's Jr, but knew it was basically like a Hardees. So, I went in, and since the location is on Colorado Boulevard, right next to I-70, I expected the bathrooms to be absolutely disgusting. I was soooo pleasantly surprised to see how amazingly CLEAN this bathroom was! Next time you are in the area, if you want to eat here, I am sure it is a clean place to eat as well. read more

I stopped here after coming from the airport and what the hell was I thinking?! I was the 1st one in the building at 11:00am, thinking everything will be super fresh! So wrong! I ordered a cheeseburger that was dry as dirt! Even my two packets of Ranch dressing couldn't save this; the lettuce was rusted on the edges and wilted. The tomatoes were slimy and I'm thinking this was leftover from the day before! Fresh my ass......The French Fries were soggy, limp and inedible. I ordered a BOGO hot honey chicken sandwich from drive-thru. The first bag I got was a single sandwich. I told the employee it was wrong. The second bag I got was a burger. Again it was wrong. The drive-thru girl all but threw the third bag at me. I opened up the burger boxes on the third bag and they were chicken sandwiches. When I got home I noticed one of the sandwiches had no cheese and the other had a very small chicken portion. I've had a good burger and good service at that location before but this time was a disaster. And when I get a craving, I sometimes go to Carl's Jr. I just can't pass up their bacon western burger and criss-cut fries. I really like their burgers. They're honestly not that bad. Just like any good drug, I can't stay away from Carl's Jr too long. So even though I'd sworn to take my business elsewhere after my last (admittedly a bit mean-spirited) review, I found that I still love Carl (or is it Jr) despite his faults. It's one of the tastier burgers you can get in a drive thru, but you definitely pay a premium. Even with coupons, it's still a costly meal. They still have issues with the whole concept of fast food, though. I don't know if they're perpetually understaffed or what, but I don't think I've ever been through in under 10 minutes. Posted hours are posted hours folks. If your posted hours says you close at 10, you do not close the doors at 9:45/9:50. You close them at 10. I walked up to the doors and they were locked and found myself with three others looking in on the restaurant in confusion. To the Management of this place, I implore you to please read this post and regulate. Workers being lazy is poor customer service and frustrating. By the way, I decided to go through the drive thru after being locked out of the restaurant, where I had to wait 15 minutes with only two cars in front of me. Something's up at this place. read more

For a chain? I. Love. Carls. Jr. For 3 reasons primarily: a) Their burgers taste grilled and just a little on the fatty side, but not tons. b) They have a WIDE selection of choices on their menu; and not just for burgers (of which their websites lists 21 choices), but also a loaded breakfast menu, chicken sammies and salads, different choices for fries (straight, cross-cut, chili smothered, onion rings, fried zucchini), real ice cream shakes, Coke Zero (nice, guys), and more -- and it tastes better than at any other burger chain I can think of, and c) They aren't afraid to use sex/titillation in their commercials and are cool enough to deal with any public outcry. From bikini carwashes to Padma Lakshmi to Kate Upton to "I Like Flat Buns" (you can find em all on YouTube), these corporate guys aren't afraid to get a little PG-13 up in yo grill to get your attention. And it works. Even if the attention is, from some sectors, negative (awwww, too bad Puritans), it sticks in the mind. Nothing from McD's, BK or Wendy's will ever do that. And for having the guts to do that, they've got my admiration. (I am amused that after a week of the Kate Upton commercial that bared a full-on cleavage shot, they apparently backed down off that 1-2 second segment...don't let them beat you down, corporate!) Did I mention they have tasty burgers?? (I'd kill to get one within 5 miles of where I live.) They have a slightly convoluted parking lot to get into and out of, not very well-designed, so you may want to angle for that traffic light to the south, because it's the only (legal) way to get in. read more

Heading North on Colorado Blvd we stopped to grab a burger. Carl's is usually pretty good but it was not so last Friday at 2pm. The meat was dry and course, no taste and the bun was the same way. This place is one of the slowest carls jrs I've ever been too. Have come here a few times since moving across the street from it and every time, no matter how busy or slow this place is, this place is so incredibly slow. The food can be decent on occasion, but apparently you need to come around a certain time, or when a certain crew is on. I have yet to figure when that is. But just discovered their shakes, not bad. After watching an episode of Modern Marvels on "food tech", I suddenly was overcome with insatiable hunger for fast food. Carl's Jr seemed to have a great menu for guys who can put some food away. Fast food is few and far between for me so when I cheat I make it count. I doubled the meat on the guacamole burger and opted for the sweet fries. Also took down an order of the chicken strips. VERDICT: JACKPOT. The burger was meticulously made and delicious. Also the place was clean and quiet. Food is hot and fresh pretty much everytime I've been here. There is a huge language barrier with the workers here so just make sure you check your food before you leave if your getting take away. The friend can be nice or rude, just depends on who waits on you. read more
