Every time there's a hurricane coming I go to this particular store to get all my hurricane supplies! The staff is very helpful, they're knowledgeable and eager to help! They have really good customer service! The guys take you to the aisle of the supplies that you need and help you make the best choice! They don't only have hardware supplies, they also sell spices, candy, thermoses, water bottles, etc. and other Knick knacks, they carry very cute supplies for women as well! This night I went for a caulking gun! I appreciate this store because it's close by and they're very helpful!

My pool has never looked better. Im actually saving money and time. The best part is I never have to worry Leonard my pool guy comes like clockwork every week. He takes care of everything. Last yearI bought an in pool vacuum system.The unit was staying in the deep end. Leonard noticed and took the unit to be repaired under warranty without me even having to ask! These guys are great. This is probably the only store on main street South Miami's Sunset Drive that is actually open-aired besides the mammoth commercialized mall down the street that consists of many air conditioned stores. The fact that everything looked green and very accessible, I had to walk in and around to see the goods. I love gardening and all things green, and I was not sure what to expect in the small downtown South Miami since most stores tend to be... well... small. Thankfully, I kept my expectations small - don't come here expecting to buy herbs (okay okay, I did expect to see herbs, unfortunately). This stores specializes on orchids, bromeliads and unique containers for your favorite plants. They have some containers that would look nice in the balcony as well as rows of good looking orchids. It is definitely a green haven in downtown South Miami. Star off for having most things on the pricey side, and for having little else other than orchids and containers - it should have been called Orchid Gate, not Garden Gate.

This time of year, they are packed with poinsettias and orchids. The rest of the year would be all native flora, gardening accessories and tools. They may seem expensive, but the plants can last generations with some tender loving care. The store is high-end, due to the fact that they carry hybrids. So it's an invest. After seeing the Woodworks website and wanting to support a local business, I contacted Alex the owner and asked if he could beat the price I saw on the website. Not only was he able to beat their price. He ordered it directly from the manufacturer (which is what a large chain would do) and delivered it. The set is beautiful. When in the market for more furniture in the future, we will definitely do business again.

My wife calls the store and asks specifically if they have drain fly pesticide. "Hold on a minute…read morelet me look". "Yes we have it". Ok thank you we are on our way! 30 minutes later I walk in front door and there's a man at front cash register and I ask for drain fly pesticide and he begins to tell me to sue baking soda and vinegar. I tell him we've tried that and it didn't work. "I don't know why it works for me" it didn't work, where is the product my wife called about. "Aisle 5 at the end and I'll have someone meet you". I walk over there and he actually shows up. He then gets in his in-house walkie talkie and asks where it is. Then this obnoxious man walks over and says that they're out of stock. I tell him my wife called and was told it's here and I drove all the way there. This is when it took a turn for the worst. He then started telling me that she didn't call this store and after going back and forth of him telling me that she called a different store and they aren't an Ace Store. He then under his breath said she was lying. I then walked towards the front of store and called her and asked for the number she called. When I read the number out loud all their faces changed demeanor instantly. He then looked on the phone call log and asked me for her number and once I said that he asked the young woman at cash register who answered call and she said she did and told my wife it was in stock. She then apologized but the one accusing my wife of lying and calling a different store turned and walked away without even as much as an apology. We will never shop there again and will make sure every employee of ours never shops there again and anyone else we can share this disgusting behavior with and how on July 4th and in the middle of a Sunday drove there to not only find it not there but be insulted at the same time.
