I am surprised Dr. Van Doren doesn't have more 5-star reviews. It's now time to change that! My hubby and I have been seeing Dr. Mark for many months now. We both suffered from neck and back pain and me from migraines and occipital neuralgia. Dr. Mark specializes in Atlas Orthogonal adjustments. I am going to paste a copy of the precise description of the device used: The Atlas Orthogonal (AO) adjusting instrument is a specialized chiropractic tool that uses a precisely controlled, gentle percussion (tapping) to realign the atlas vertebra (C1), the top bone of the spine. It operates using a solenoid, a magnetic and mechanical device that drives a hammer onto a stylus, transferring a kinetic force similar to Newton's cradle. This gentle, sound-wave-driven adjustment aims to restore proper spinal alignment without manual manipulation, alleviate nerve pressure, and improve overall health. We have been helped greatly by this Atlas process. We tried physical therapy for our issues and conventional chiropractic, but didn't reach the level of success as we have with Dr. Mark. On a personal level, Dr. Mark is one of the kindest, caring, compassionate health providers we have ever met. He really wants to help you feel better and is just a genuinely fabulous person! We hope to only need periodic adjustments in the future, that would be very doable. We are just feeling so much better at this point, we will ease into it. I am surprised Dr. Mark doesn't have more reviews so I wanted to take the time to write one for him! I have had neck problems for the last year and a half now to which I was losing hope of ever fully recovering from. I found Dr. Mark after seeing a different chiropractor who also specializes in the Atlas Orthogonal method over the last year. Dr. Mark is truly amazing! I've only seen him for one visit so far but the difference in approach between him and my now old chiropractor shocked me. Dr. Mark did a MUCH more thorough initial exam both before and after my first adjustment. He doesn't give off the "salesman" pitch and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients rather than the money. I've only had my first adjustment with Dr. Mark but i'm already feeling better this first day than I have the entire last year with my old chiropractor. I'm very grateful to have found him and am excited to see how much I improve under his care. Even if I somehow have deeper issues and don't fully recover with the atlas approach, I would still recommend him to everyone. read more

Dr. Mark was the only one who could fix my chronic dizziness! This was after a year long (or more) process of dealing with dizziness and going to both my primary doctor and neurologists and getting CT scans, MRIs, etc. without any answers. They wanted to prescribe medications which I tried but did not help at all. Finally a friend recommended Dr. Mark and after a few visits I was cured! 5 stars! One of the Best Chiropractors in the industry! And I've seen a few over the years. His Altas Orthogonal method is amazing. Once the adjustment was done, I could feel the right side of my entire body again. Over time you don't realize how much sensation you lose from having a subluxated atlas vertebra. A regular neck adjustment is rudimentary compared to the precision of the orthogonal adjustment. read more

DR Mark Van Doren is an amazing chiropractor and an amazing Atlas specialist. After chronic back pain and dizziness for years, he fixed me up in no time. I met Dr. Mark in 2006 when my husband was referred to him by his neck surgeon (who was also a patient, himself). He specializes in Atlas-Orthogonal treatment. I also became his patient when I injured my own neck (work comp). It amazes me how a couple blasts of air can make all the difference in re-aligning a small portion of your cervical spine! He also helped me when I re-injured my neck and couldn't move my head at all without excruciating pain, using multiple methods, including traction, the machine for atlas (C-1) adjustment, manual adjustment, the table and massage.
