I'm a martial artist and have been to chiropractors my entire life. Most have been good, others seemed to only care more about getting as much dough out of their patients as possible. So I've been exposed to a variety of different environments/procedures in the business. The night before my appointment, I suffered a neck injury during some drills. Needless to say, the subsequent headaches were some of the worst I've ever had in my life. But even being a new patient, they were able to squeeze me in the same day I called the next morning. Dr. D is extremely knowledgeable and somehow seems to know more about your injuries than you do yourself. Everything was spot on, from what spots were normal, tender, very tender, etc. So it didn't feel like a game of twenty questions of discovering where the root of the problem was. My injured areas were treated accordingly and I already feel much better. And overall, he's a very nice guy, so it felt more casual and laid back than a usual trip to a doctors office. I was recommended to see Dr. Higgins by my boss after throwing my back out and experiencing constant back pain. I pinched a nerve in my back in my sleep and was sooo worried I wouldn't find a chiropractor during covid but Carlsbad Chiropractic were open and even helped me out with a cut in price, as I do not have insurance and the doctor saw I really needed to be seen multiple times in one week, and as being young and single, he helped me out a little with the price, even selling me a back brace at nearly no cost that saved me at my beertending job. My favorite thing about my chiropractor doctor I saw, is that he took the time every visit to do ultra sound radiation on my back since the muscles were soooo Inflamed to help get blood rolling and heal faster. Never have had a chiropractor take the time to do that before. Also loved how he spoke about his children which are about my age. Made me feel very comfortable and part of the family. :) read more

I started seeing Desi a few years ago. I referred my son, mother, wife. I had never see a chiropractor before so I didn't know what to expect. I do now. This office isn't interested in healing you, they are interested in booking your next appointment. For those of you who have seen him regularly will know exactly what Im talking about. No matter what your condition, the first thing Desi will tell you is that you're going to need several appointments before you're going to start feeling better. Sure that's a given but he makes it painfully obvious he's not in the business of healing he's interested in your insurance... It's bizarre.. if you're a current patient, you know exactly what Im talking about. His appointments consist of a quick adjustment, if your opt to pay the extra $ 10.00 or $ 20.00 you get the ultrasound for a few minutes and that's about it. At the time I didn't know any better so I referred my mom who had experience with a respected chiropractor in Seattle. After her appointment with Carlsbad Chiropractic she called me horrified. She said, no way Im not going back and neither are you. Sadly my experience didn't end there. After a year of emails and phone calls asking me to book another appointment I finally told Carlsbad Chiropractic that I wasn't happy with the quality of care I received and I would not be back an imaginary bill for $ 87.00 showed up.. after they sent me to collections I thought this must be a scam and started digging. I found Desi has been taken to small claims court 7 times and sued for malpractice... more than once.... Something is definitely happening at this office, and its not healing. I loved my Carmel Valley chiropractor so I struggled to be willing to try someone new but, it was getting to be too far to drive so I switched to Dr. Desi 6+ months ago and he is wonderful too. Look no further! This doctor is pure MAGIC! I cannot recommend Dr. Desi enough! I have been to MANY chiropractors over the years, some okay, some horrible, some did the trick for a little while but cost me thousands of dollars and the issues came back. When I first went to see Dr. Desi a few years ago after spending thousands of dollars seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week for months to address my low back pain, that not only came back but even worse, I immediately felt relief. The issue was pretty severe so I went to see Dr. Desi about 9 times even though I was already seeing a tremendous difference right away. However I did not have to go in 3 times a week for 4 months straight! What a difference! He took away my pain and adjusted me correctly just like that. After that I went in for maintenance when I felt like my body needed it, and every time I walked out I felt amazing! Something else I have to share which I believe is truly remarkable is I had a shoulder blade issue, major pain I lived with for over 13 years from bartending for 10 years that by the way not one single chiropractor could ever resolve for me.
