One day I went down to Hoy's and bought 20 bricks, the next day I bought 30 bricks, the price was…read more$.99 each. Today two days later I go down to Hoy's and try to buy 20 more bricks, they want to charge me three dollars a brick. They put the SKU in, it looked like the same skew the old skewer that was on the pile of bricks. Either they raise their prices or it was on sale, but the guy there didn't know . I don't know but I didn't buy any bricks because $60 for 20 bricks is crazy. I can go up to Home Depot and back and still save about $30.00, or a little more. cost me a lot less to go to Home Depot so that's where I'm going. Home depot only charges . 78 cents , is the regular price. While I'm up there probably go a bit lots of other stuff too.

First, when my purchase shocked me because it was way pricier than expected (little did I know it was due to the new hire retrieving a PVC pipe that was a quarter inch too big unti I got home.) She didn't bother questioning why the fittings I was purchasing along with the pvc pipe would only fit a 1/4" smaller pipe. Secondly, when I tried to return the wrong pipe, which was the new hires who seemed like a fish out of water while assisting me was who was at fault, she smugly told me it was non-refundable. The manager minimized my distress, despite my explanation that this week marked a difficult anniversary, having witnessed three deaths a year prior. So any added stress was not what I needed. He minimized my emotions because "his Dad is dead too." This man was significantly older than me. He then even tried to claim that 1 1/4" PVC pipe does not exist, he later corrected himself. Lastly, the new hire that sold me the wrong sized pvc pipe, had the audacity to lie right in front of me until I proved him wrong. This week, I've made significant purchases at that store. Although two staff members during previous trip there that week were friendly, the manager's approach was disappointing. He belittled me and seems to abandon new employees without proper training, leaving them unprepared to assist customers. Furthermore, the cashier's smirk added to my discomfort, ensuring I will not shop there again. They eventually admitted I was in the right & exchanged the pvc pipe, but that didn't make up for how terribly they treated me throughout the whole ordeal, and no apology was ever offered.
