My Nov. 15, 2023 text confirming Joanne relayed my wish to cancel to Bill Kronberger at Carlton Pools and my response to his offer.
    Rod H.

I signed a contract with Carlton Pools to resurface my aging, in-ground pool in October 2022, forking over a $2,000 deposit. The contract states: Start Date: Mid to Late Spring 2023 Completion Date: Mid to Late Spring 2023 It's January 12, 2024 and Carlton Pools is missing in action. I made several calls in the summer and fall only to be transferred by the a surly receptionist to a nondescript voicemail. No one ever returned my call. I finally reached Joanne on Nov. 15, 2023 who said she'd been trying to reach me for months but had the wrong phone number for me written down. I guess no one got my voicemails. No one ever thought to put something in the mail to me either, or stop by my home or ask the salesman who originally worked with me for my contact information or look at the contract which clearly has my number written down correctly. I had exchanged text messages with the salesman, Bill Kronberger, about the contract so he definitely had my number. Back on Nov. 15, 2023, I explained to Joanne that I had lost confidence in the company to meet its obligations and I wanted my deposit back. She was very polite and offered discounts and promises. I politely declined, and she assured me my check would be in the mail within a week to 10 days. The same day, the salesman texted me asking if he could salvage the deal and offered more discounts. I politely responded that I simply had no confidence they would show up, and that I planned to take my business elsewhere. Then ... nothing. On Jan. 9, 2024, I received a random email from the salesman, Bill, again asking if I'd like to have Carlton Pools complete the project and, again, offering promises and discounts. I replied with a firm no and noted we had discussed this in November I made clear then that I had no intention of hiring them. The salesman then responded by email telling me he "believed" I was considering my options and that he was merely waiting for me to decide if I wanted to proceed with the project! Nuts. I have the text that proves this to be false (see image). From the rude receptionist (and she likes to argue with people too) to the complete failure to respond to their customers who pay them, Carlton Pools is clearly not a company with which to do business. Our pools are huge investments. You have to have someone you can trust if you're going to hand off thousands of dollars to have work done. I simply don't trust Carlton Pools. You shouldn't either.

Destroyed and disrespected patio after a Carlton Pool opening. Disgusting!!!

We've used Carlton since they put our pool in 9 years ago. Their service has gone downhill. We just opened our pool and they left our backyard and patio destroyed. A total lack of respect and defaced our property. I'm so done with them. Their total lack of respect for your property and dignity to do a decent job for a (gulp) $1,000 service. Shame!

    No chemicals added, not skimmed

After shopping some of the local hot tub dealers I found Spring Dance. William was great at showing me some options and explaining all of the differences. They currently had a manufacturers promo going at the time (which was a very good deal), it was up in a few days but William didn't pressure me. He said, if I wasn't ready to check back as there are several sales a year. Later that day I brought my wife in and William took her through the same explanation of everything. I actually bought a much better hot tub than I had planned on, nothing William did to pressure this just my own desires. When it arrived the fact that we used a local company made it worth it. They delivered it several hundred feet to a pad in our back yard. They set everything up and went over the operation. As we weren't getting power until the next morning we couldn't test it yet. Once we had it filled and power we began getting the levels right on the water. We have public water inside our house and everything outside is well water. We decided to use that due to it's convenience...big mistake. Our well water has a high level of iron in it (which we didn't know until after using), once we put in the chlorine it oxidized the iron and turned the water brown. We were going nuts, we grabbed some water and raced to Spring Dance. William calmed our nerves and said: "it's probably just high iron". After testing the levels he showed us that is exactly what it is. He took us through the process of lowering the metals in the water and gave us a specific plan for chemicals and in no time the water was crystal clear. We've had the tub now for three months...and use it a lot. The water is still crystal clear simply by us following Williams prescribed regiment of water additives. We couldn't be happier. And since they are local, we can rest assured that if something were to happen...William is only a phone call or short car ride away.

I was able to get them to come out once to fix a leak when it was still under warranty but now they never reply to voicemail or service request via website. You're much better off finding a seller that has a good track record of service and support post-sale. Update: got a quick call as soon as I posted this review, ha, but it was still back and forth with leaving messages to get someone to come out. Service tech finally came out over a week ago, could not identify the leak source and I have not heard anything from them on what the fix will be. Still on me to chase them down.

We compared the features, searched reviews and ended up purchasing the Wellis hot tub from Greg at Jacuzzi in Doylestown. We chose the Wellis due to the numerous features like 3 motors, 78 jets and a bluetooth speaker system. It also was a great value. We enjoyed that for a while. Then we had a chance to upgrade to a Jacuzzi 385 model. We always heard the Jacuzzi has their own special patented jets that were beyond compare. We thought that was the typical marketing slogan. Greg at Jacuzzi in Doylestown let us try the model in the store. We were amazed by the difference. The Jacuzzi jets were on a whole different level. Greg gave us a great deal and we received the new Jacuzzi a few weeks ago. We are so happy with Greg at Jacuzzi. We wouldn't buy a hot tub anywhere else. Lori & Dave
