It has been at a dealership service center off and on for 2 weeks, and has/had a service and transmission code alert in the computer. I have been paying for a rental, out of pocket. I was sold a (very expensive) warranty when I bought the car, but apparently they are having a hard time diagnosing the problem. While West Auto Sales may not of known about this terrible, dangerous, and expensive issue, I have not gotten an answer to the question of whether it was driven to Ohio from the auction West bought it at, or shipped by truck. It's hard to believe that a 10k purchase has no legal protection, even if it breaks down the first week, so please beware of buying a car that the seller can't (and won't) back up/stand behind.

He did a visual inspection and test drive it and it seemed fine. It was getting dark and close to closing time so he didn't inspect underneath. Later that same night it came to his attention that the frame was rusted and rotted away in multiple locations. The frame rail was cracked in half. The shocks were just hanging because the mounts were completely gone. the wheel wells were rotted away. Went back to the dealership the next day and Alex the owner acknowledged the damage and claimed to have a "guy" who could fix the frame and he even offered to pay for repairs. He handed my boyfriend his business card with the contact information of the repair guy. Later that day he tried calling this repair guy and left messages and never got a response. Sent Alex a text the next day and he ignored his message also. Currently we are starting the legal process to try and get our $5000 back. It's a shame this place is still in business. They have been ripping people off for years. Just don't. No matter how desperate you are. Don't. You've been warned. Oh and let's not forget the 15 or so times they have been sued in court since 2019!
