Yukon  I want to preface this by saying that this is my first negative review online for a business.  We took our brand new 2025 Yukon here for its first service.  About a month later I noticed an upward bulge in the hood -it obviously had to be from something left on top of the motor and then shutting the hood creating a dent from the inside.  The hood has not been opened since we purchased it new.  Toth GMC did our first service and were the only ones to open the hood since we purchased the vehicle brand new.  We called the dealership to ask if they had video and could review to see if someone accidently had shut something in the hood.  I talked with the manager Samantha and she informed me that they did not follow protocol by taking pictures of the vehicle before servicing it.  I asked multiple times if they could review videos and Samantha never would answer that question, instead always changing the subject.   She asked me to send pictures and told me she would check with her body shop and what the manager of the body shop said.   After about two weeks she called me back and told me that they do not use tools while servicing vehicles therefore there was no way they could have done this.   I would love to know how you can change the oil without tools, not to mention that they could have left an old filter, phone, cup, flashlight, etc. and shut the hood causing this dent.  I again asked Samantha if they could check the videos and she changed the subject telling me I have no proof that they did this.  I can not speak for their sales department, but I would not risk taking your vehicle for service here, given the way that they treated us with this matter, and not following their own protocols.  I would love to speak with someone higher up than Samantha to try and find a solution and the truth about this incident. read more

Our last experience buying our Kia at the Kia dealership several years ago was a nightmare. We were hesitant and didn't know what to expect as we searched for the right dealer to buy our next new car, a Buick Envista. I reached out to several Buick dealers and told them EXACTLY what car and model we wanted. Instead of being honest, 2 other dealers said anything to lure us into coming in but would not confirm they had the exact car we were looking for. So, although Toth Buick GMC was further to drive for us, we decided to reach out to Toth Buick on Arlington Road and communicated with Ed Ecrement. We were pleasantly surprised in how quick he responded to our emails and moreso his honesty. He responded to our emails quickly and confirmed that Toth Buick did have the exact car we wanted. Ed told us everything we needed to bring to our appointment and allowed us to come in later in the evening due to my husband's work schedule. We drove over an hour and a half to come to this appointment and it was well worth the drive. Not only was Ed Ecrement waiting for us, he was outside and greeted us as soon as we got to the door. Ed explained the trade in process, took us on a test drive and went over absolutely everything in the vehicle, explained every feature about the car and helped us set up the GMC app. Ed was very helpful, knowledgeable and had a great positive attitude, was very professional and went the extra mile so we could drive home in our new beautuful Envista. I've been a customer at Toth Buick-GMC for over 15 years. Every time I walk in to look at a vehicle I am greeted warmly and my sales advisor Keith is quick to make time to help me out. Due to how well Keith and the staff work with me I've personally purchased 4 vehicles and taken my mother to buy another 1 all from Keith. Even though there is a closer GM dealer to me I still go back to Toth because of the loyalty they show and how they handle even the aggravating issues that might present themselves. Recently I had an issue that required immediate service and they moved heaven & earth to get my truck in the backlogged shop to assess the problem and make the repair and even put me in a loaner that wasn't in their system in order to accommodate my needs. I highly recommend you avoid Toth Buick GMC on Arlington at all costs. My experience with their service department has been nothing short of a nightmare. I took my 2016 Silverado 1500 in for repairs after an accident in December 2023, thinking a GM dealer would be the best place to handle my truck. Boy, was I wrong. From the beginning, the repairs were sloppy. After the first visit, they aligned the wheels, replaced an upper control arm, and did some cosmetic work. But almost immediately, I noticed my driver's side door, which had been damaged in the accident, wasn't closing properly. I brought it back, and while they "fixed" it, it was still misaligned. Then, to make matters worse, my air conditioning stopped working. I took it in, and after a recharge, they told me they couldn't find a leak. I had to take it back FOUR more times before they finally admitted there was a crack in the condenser. By then, it was months later, and my insurance refused to cover the cost, since I'd reported the issue too late. As if that wasn't bad enough, I began hearing a loud 'clunking' noise from my driver side wheel - the same area that had been hit in the accident. I brought it back over and over, but they couldn't diagnose it or even bother to help. After speaking with one of the owners, Nick Toth, he was completely dismissive, blaming the issue on the age of the vehicle and making it clear they had no intention of helping further. Now, over a year later, the damage to my suspension has only gotten worse, and when I finally brought it in for another inspection, they found a broken ball joint and front stabilizer link. But of course, they refused to admit that their poor repairs had anything to do with it. They offered to resubmit to my insurance, but the chances of that being covered were slim at best. Nick Toth's attitude was childish and unprofessional, and it's clear he's only in the position he is because of family connections, not skill. He has no regard for customers or their concerns, and his dismissive behavior only made matters worse. If you value your vehicle and your time, stay far away from Toth Buick GMC. Their service department is a joke, and their management clearly doesn't care about providing any real help. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere - you'll regret it if you don't. read more

Negative stars. This dealership is terrible. Sold me a car that needed around ~10K in repairs (without informing me) and scammed me for some B.S. warranty. when I went to use my warranty after paying for it, they told me I didn't have one. I ended up having to spend $2,000 to fix my valve cover, and the mechanic stripped and broke three bolts on my engine. they gave me back the car without telling me about that and I have had to get it fixed again. I would highly recommend not even going near this place. they would steal the lint out of your pocket if they could. -1/10 read more

Collision center: Took my vehicle to the collision center on 5/16. After 16 days, I still do not have my vehicle back. I have been told for the last four days, "tomorrow." Yesterday, I was told, "tomorrow morning before lunch " at 6:00pm, today ( I was physically waiting today for the car) I was told, maybe tomorrow. Toth stated that they waited on Progressive. Progressive states they never received any paperwork from Toth. Today, Toth said they waited on the glass company, the glass company came said they couldn't do the job. If you have almost three weeks to wait on your vehicle to be completed, Toth is your place. read more

There's a saying that "Sales sells the first car, and service sells the rest." It's probably one of the most true statements in the industry. When I bought my car the Toth Service Department had a 5 Star rating, so I bought a Buick Encore and a $4500 service contract. What a mistake. After a solid month of back and forth, an egregious misdiagnosis, and not even 9,000 miles put on the vehicle I had to fight tooth and nail to get repair coverage for listed covered items. I was still charged for a tow from a company they told me to use (with tow coverage)parts and labor for covered parts listed on the warranty, double dipped labor that was also charged to the warranty company and to me, and overcharged for maintenance that was listed on a flier attached to bill for $30 less! I didn't even make it home before the engine light came back on, and even though the part that needed replaced was under manufacture's warranty and I told my service advisor this at write up, he still attempted to tell me it wasn't and tried to sell me the job. When I pushed the fact that it was still under a 2 year/24 month parts warranty from the last time they replaced it, suddenly their technician was "too busy" to replace my catalytic converter despite my car now getting 8mpg for two more weeks. How many miles and hours do I need to spend coming back and forth from Alliance to this place? When I called the service manager Samantha to give her an opportunity to remedy any part of this absolute cluster f*ck, she proudly told me how instrumental she was in helping the service advisor from start to finish! She really felt she did me a favor and smacked of condescension. I finally just gave up trying to find any kind of resolution, she repeated she stood behind everything on the bill, and kept interrupting anything I said. When a family puts their name on the building, it really is their integrity at stake. The fact that I watched two other service advisors Bob and Amanda mock and laugh a customer rather than helping him as he struggled with their entry door that sticks (doesn't anyone know a mechanic or have WD40?) it really should have been my giant red flag. Who makes fun of customers in front of other customers? I'm used to getting looks as a disabled person, and you sometimes wonder if you're just being sensitive? Then you see them so flagrantly disrespectful in action with zero regard or respect for anyone in the room? Yikes. Buy and service your cars elsewhere. I took my GMC to get a diagnostic, check engine light was on. Came back the next day to get my vehicle and drive off. Would not even turn over . Couldn't drive it off the lot. Come to find out they took my whole engine apart, pieces everywhere. They told me they had authority to dive in deeper to see what was wrong with it. I had it towed away. The tow truck driver found my engine pieces sitting in my engine. We drove back to Toth Buick-GMC I demanded they put my vehicle back together. Still would NOT run. Had to have it towed home. if I could do 0 stars, I would. Worst salesman and dishonest staff. I want everyone to know that Dan Boring and supervisor are not people you want to do business with, I promise you. Dan seems nice and honest at first, however he sold us a car that was unsafe, and did not disclose a previous moderate accident, nor any information about previous issues the car had. Multiple times I have almost gotten into an accident due to a sensor on the car, leaving my car only going 30mph on the highway. This happened to a previous owner, yet we were not informed of that. So had an oil change done, said I had gmc points to pay for oil change. Went to check out and the point system was down. Gave them my member ID and said can you process transaction when system came up, they told me they can't let me leave until it was paid. I said when system comes back up you'll be paid. They said if I promise to pay cash if system doesn't come back up later I can leave. I said no, I promise to pay with points when system comes back up. That's what the point system is for. They said I couldn't leave without promising that, I said you'll be paid with points when system comes back up. He stood in front of me and would not let me leave. Mind you this is a $90 service. I have purchased several cars from them and my family has as well. He took my key fob and would not let me leave until it was paid. It is not my fault the system was down when I went to pay with my points. Keep in mind this was the owner of the dealership who did this, over $90 and stepping in front of me and knocking me back when I went to leave he will never see me again. Owner is an awful person. Cares nothing about his customers, only about $90 he will eventually get when the gm point system came back online. Clarification needed on my part. It was my misunderstanding on who I was dealing with yesterday as when I purchase my vehicles he is the one everyone talks with and I made that assumption. tI was not an owner it was a manager. read more

Bought my gmc new here 6 years ago. Brought it here for its service and warranty work, even though it's 45 minutes away. Until today I have experienced some issues with service department work. I won't list all the issues that have snowballed since I took it to them recently. But when wanting to discuss matters of concern the service manager was extremely rude and condescending. To the point he was so unpleasant I had to get my kids and walk out. Shame years of loyalty quickly ruined by manager not letting the customer come first. read more

When I called because my car had to be towed to a Buick garage for an issue I called and they told me that I should have it towed in, when the car got there they told me that they wouldn't service it because I gave them a bad review about another issue and it costs them thousands of dollars. Just had the WORST experience ever at Toth Buick in Akron- Arlington Rd. WOMEN ARE NOT TREATED EQUALLY!! I showed up, drove a vehicle, sat down with salesman and he started the paperwork to purchase vehicle. Meanwhile the owner (so he said) drove my trade-in WHILE another salesman ( by the same last name) let another potential buyer ( a male) drive the same vehichle I was sitting down doing the deal on. They all returned and then my salesman was called into the office with the owner, the finance person and the other (Toth) salesman to which my salesman ( who's last name is not Toth) came back to tell me that the other "guy" is paying asking price. I was like what?? I haven't gotten any paper put in front of me- I was not too concerned as I said to my salesman "well we are still first in line right? I can pay asking price too right?" My salesman disappearred again and then came back to tell me they sold it to the guy that drove it after me!! WHAT THE HELL?! REMIND YOU -- I drove the van first and sat down to write deal while Toth let the other "guy" drive the van I am trying to purchace. Not a normal way to do business ANY normal one would think. The salesman of course was not happy, he also lost my sale. But the salesman with the name Toth who took his male buyer to drive the van I was writing the deal on got the sale?! Is it becasue I am a woman that they think they could do this?? OBVIOUSLY!! But here's the worst part - Not once at any time did the owner or finance guy walk out to appologize, so I approached them hiding out in their office and asked them if this is how they do business. Here's their reply....."everyonce in a blue moon this happens." Really, I find it hard to believe that reputable dealers let a car get purchased out from under the person sitting in the seat writing the deal on that same exact vehicle. I was in the market for a used SUV. To find the best car, I went to 7 different dealerships in NE Ohio looking at the same model with comparable miles and price. When I noticed that Toth had the exact vehicle I was looking for I was very excited. I called and talked with Keith Rittwage who seemed nice and eager to give me a good deal. I asked only 3 questions, one of which was the condition of the tires. He told me they were "good, solid tires." I made arangements to leave work early with a friend to make the 1.2 hr drive to Toth and was shocked when I saw the car. All four tires were significantly dry-rot and two has less than the required 1/16" on tread needed to make the vehicle road worthy. In addition, one of the engine mounts was rusted through, and the car stalled while idling. When I voiced my disappointment Keith offered to take $100 off the car. When I informed him I would not be purchasing the car he told me to "get out of his face." I was again shocked to be spoken to in such a way. When I asked if I could talk to his manager and where his office was, Keith said "I don't care who you talk to, find him yourself!" I then spoke with Nick Toth who was unapologetic and excused Keith's behavior in that he was "just having a bad day" and thanked me for letting him know about my experience. I worry for consumers who do not know much about cars and may fall victim to this dishonest, predatory dealership. I bought a certified 2014 Silverado here. It came with free services which with that and as new as it was I never crawled under it. I had it in because the "Chevy shake" was getting bad at high speeds. I paid for rotors turned and tires balanced (again). it only made it shake at higher speeds. At one point at started vibrating terribly and a grinding to the point I had to pull off the road. I got under and wanted to check differential grease . after over 2 years of them servicing the truck you could tell it had never been out. it was down about an inch and half. I took it in told them to check axle bearings and about the differential being low. when they called later told me the TECH said an inch an a half low was in specs. THEN WHY DOES THE SERVICE MANUAL SAY 0.0-7cm (1/8) in. it holds 2.2 qts I had to add over 1 qt to get it to full. they did want me to pay $149 to pressure balance the tires again. the 1st Chevy Ive owned in 30 years. I am currently looking to get back in a Ford . Im. afraid to go very far in this and don't want too spend the money to fix it. when I asked about the diff not being checked they said its not something they do in a service??? BUT on the work orders stating what was done, that box is checked wtf?? read more
